Grey substance on transmission dipstick

Hi all! I was checking my transmission fluid this morning and I noticed this grey substance upon wiping off the dipstick. It went away after 3-4 wipes. I had the radiator replaced more than a year ago so I don’t think smod is the problem. Just wondering if this is normal for a 97k?

Grey/Brown Substance Found in Window Unit A/C. Very dense and heavy

Title says it all. I found this weird clump in the back of my AC, growing around some wires. It is very heavy and pretty dense. I poked it with some pliers, and it kind of reminded me of a mushroom. Any idea what it is?

Trying to find out the name of a blood red acidic substance. It smells like paint and when it touches your skin, it doesn't burn that much but leaves a temporary grey blotch on the affected area. It was being used as a snake repellent when I found it.

Does anyone know of any substances or drugs that have been shown to lead to an increase in grey matter for adult subjects? I found this study within and got curious.

After seeing this study published in the Journal of Psychiatry Neuroscience, I was curious.

 

In which:

Making my own pizza steel from A36: how do I remove all traces of that grey substance when rubbing it with a paper towel?

I picked up some A36 steel and soaked it in vinegar for two days, rinsed it, steel brushed it, soaped it and sponged it, dried it and then when I went to put on the first layer of oil there was a metallic grey substance coming off onto the paper towel. I put them back into a fresh vinegar bath to see if I could get more off.

Did I just not clean them enough? Is there a quick way to remove that filmy layer than waiting on the vinegar bath? Thanks for your help.

EDIT: Thanks for the tips. I took it out of vinegar and scrubbed it with a soft sponge and vegetable oil over and over until there was little to no trace left. Took some elbow grease but it worked!
