Hi all! I was checking my transmission fluid this morning and I noticed this grey substance upon wiping off the dipstick. It went away after 3-4 wipes. I had the radiator replaced more than a year ago so I donβt think smod is the problem. Just wondering if this is normal for a 97k?

Title says it all. I found this weird clump in the back of my AC, growing around some wires. It is very heavy and pretty dense. I poked it with some pliers, and it kind of reminded me of a mushroom. Any idea what it is?

It is non-toxic, has no taste, smells slightly of burnt plastic, moves on its own when you are not looking and is slightly sticky
After seeing this study published in the Journal of Psychiatry Neuroscience, I was curious.
In which:
a particular international vendor that seems to be reputable is selling DXM powder. if i were to order a decent amount, how likely is it that customs would nab it? i know they shouldnβt since itβs currently unscheduled, but i get the feeling they just wonβt like a bag of white powder coming through.
I picked up some A36 steel and soaked it in vinegar for two days, rinsed it, steel brushed it, soaped it and sponged it, dried it and then when I went to put on the first layer of oil there was a metallic grey substance coming off onto the paper towel. I put them back into a fresh vinegar bath to see if I could get more off.
Did I just not clean them enough? Is there a quick way to remove that filmy layer than waiting on the vinegar bath? Thanks for your help.
EDIT: Thanks for the tips. I took it out of vinegar and scrubbed it with a soft sponge and vegetable oil over and over until there was little to no trace left. Took some elbow grease but it worked!
