A list of puns related to "Granite State"
Living in Maine, it seems there is a huge selection of craft beers made in Vermont and Maine at most liquor stores, but I haven't noticed any from NH. Are there any? If so, what would you recommend?
Thatβs one question Iβve had since the first flashforward. Has it been months or even years since Jimmy/Saul now Gene has had to relocate to Nebraska?
One of my favorite scenes ever in the whole series is the one where Walt is in the bar at the end of the episode and watches Gretchen and Elliot talk about his contribution to Gray Matter. The whole scene is awesome, Waltβs anger building up, the darkness of the scene, and the title sequence music that plays in the background while he escapes! So awesome.
Elliot says that Waltβs contribution starts and ends at the company name (combining Schwartz + White), but surely that was not his only contribution? Didnβt he do research for them before selling his share to them? Why didnβt Gretchen and Elliot mention this? Iβm assuming maybe it was because they wanted to associate their company with Walter White, a drug kingpin and wanted criminal, as less as possible?
Or maybe by the time Elliot thought that Walt fid do research but only remembered his main contribution as naming the company. Either way itβs a little sad, since Walt did win a Nobel prize and claimed that he did research which propelled the company forward... Iβm thinking they minimized his contribution to the name because they donβt want their billion dollar company associated with a criminal. What do you think?
Thanks π
I personally love the use of the Breaking Bad Theme in the ending of Granite State so I thought it would be great to see the Better Call Saul Theme played full in a Season 6 episode.
My vision is it would be a montage of Jimmy fully becoming Saul and making his deals with Walt and Jesse. The theme would start as Saul finally gets his Breaking Bad office and we see him fully morph into Goodman. Then as the verse starts, we meet Walt and Jesse. We see their adventures and shit. Then as the song ends, we see him go from Saul to Gene and pick up where we left off in the last Gene Scene.
Is she in a Skyler White situation (where they could take the house, etc.)? How much legal trouble would she be in being the wife of Saul Goodman, Walter Whiteβs lawyer? Thanks.
I have no issue with any of the gore or thriller elements from any scene in the whole series other than when Todd kills Andrea while Jesse is forced to watch. This broke me psychologically and I can't re-watch it.
I remember watching it when it first aired and I swear there was this stabbing/screeching violin sound that came on when Todd shoots her and Jesse starts screaming which likely made it worse for me.
The blu-ray version doesn't have this sound effect weirdly so maybe they decided to edit it out to dial it back.
Is this the most gut-wrenching scene of the whole series for anyone else?
I graduated college and I have student loans through GSMR. StudentAid.gov told me to pay on their website but I had forgotten my password. When I enter my social and birthday into their βForgot Passwordβ function, it tells me it does not match their records. And Iβve checked multiple times that my social / birthday is correct. Am I stupid and naive to think that if I blow this off, nothing bad will happen? Iβve tried everything to get on, and I have also not received any mail from them. Is there also any other way for me to access my account. I can log in to my Federal Student Aid account, but not GSMR. Thank you.
(Walt and Saul's fake names)
I absolutely adore this episode - the camera work is phenomenal, it's the last time we see Walt in his Heisenberg getup before he grows his hair out, the overwhelming sense of dread that hangs over the characters, Jesse and Andrea's murder... I'd say it's a masterpiece given that it follows one of the most critically acclaimed episodes of all time.
At the end of the second to last episode of breaking bad, Walter white calls his son and tries to send him money. His son gets mad and hangs up the phone. Walter than proceeds to call the police to surrender himself. He drops the phone and walks to the bar. MANDELA EFFECT: Iβve seen the episode a number of times but have never seen Walter walk to the bar with a box. Maybe I just wasnβt paying enough attention but that box wasnβt there before. The box is sitting on the bar for a number of shots and is gone when Walter leaves. It seems to change the look of many shots because itβs blocking some of the shelves and whatnot in the background. Please if youβve seen this for like ever say something. I always assumed he had already mailed the box and walked up to the bar empty handed.
First time posting here, forgive me if this has been asked before! I'm on my zillioth rewatch, and something just dawned on me. After the shootout where Hank dies, why does Walt need to flee? Hank and Gomez were the only ones that knew about him and Jesse's out of the picture. Couldn't he just have gone home? And when questioned about Hank, say he doesn't know what they're talking about and he hasn't seen Hank? Why the urgent need to flee?
Thanks!
Ozymandias is a 10/10 don't get me wrong but after re watch I found myself liking the last 2 episodes more than Ozymandias maybe because of the ending of both episodes were epic or maybe l liked Robert foster's character (RIP) and I found him pretty interesting and also the two best hitman in Mississippi is my favorite moment of the show also i love the depressing theme of granite state
3rd contest done. 2nd this year. first win. only three competitors in this weight class but a win is a win and im honestly pretty excited about it. its nice to just kinda reaffirm that my training is going well and in the right direction and is proof of the hard work im putting in. also winning is a good excuse to go crush margs after. so that was cool.
stats. 30 years old 5'8.5 200lbs. coached by Kalle Beck
1st event. wheelbarrow run. i think they said it was 500lbs idk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bgf80UFZXPE. 6.55 seconds first place. my scouting report has never had the word fast in it so i was actually pretty happy about this win. kinda a surprise win.
2nd event. 240 viking press. 8 reps. 1st place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTSkLThrZWY
pretty happy and proud of the grind on the last 3 reps. been doing a ton of log strict presses lately and i think that helped locking these out. second had 7 3rd had 6.
3rd event car deadlift. 10 reps. 3rd/last place. https://youtu.be/BwmMvmPxByQ
this is the event i thought i would win and i ended up coming in last. idk what happened maybe i didnt give it my all im not sure. winner hit 20. 2nd got 11. i think if you were to simulate me doing this 100 times there isnt a chance i hit 20. losing this event took me by surprise a bit but i didnt let it get in my head.
4th event. hammer hold for time. about 2:15. 1st. https://youtu.be/_rKBqJPtZrg
so story time. i went first and about 20 seconds in they stopped me. watching the video the hammer was held between two pieces of wood. between the wood was a string. it acted like a polevault or high jump. you break the string you lose. 20 seconds in they realized they set the string way to low for me and sent me to the back of the line. honestly i think this game me an advantage and the win because i knew how long i needed to hold it. having that goal and sayin im not allowed to quit until this number really let me hold on. you can see it in the last 30 seconds. i had to give that everything.
5th event truck pull 16'9" 3rd https://youtu.be/fs5cB3qNEAI
never done this before. pretty cool of the event runners to lock this down. whenever you tell someone you do strongman they always ask something along the lines of oh do you pull trucks strapped to your dick or other wierd
