"This view shows the prison built in 1832β35 after the designs of Thomas Ustick Walter (1804β87) at Tenth and Reed Streets in Philadelphia. A horse-drawn wagon used to carry convicts, known as a Black Maria, draws toward the front of the Gothic-style building. Two men watch the carriage from near the road and two others are visible close to one of the battlement towers. The prison, which operated under a system of solitary confinement, was demolished in 1968. The print was originally published as Plate 9 in Views of Philadelphia, and Its Vicinity, published by the firm J.C. Wild & J.B. Chevalier, Lithographers (Philadelphia, 1838).
The lithographic stones for the views were acquired by John T. Bowen and reissued in 1838 and in 1848 with hand coloring. John Caspar Wild (circa 1804β46) was a Swiss-born artist and lithographer who arrived in Philadelphia from Paris in 1832. He produced numerous prints and paintings of Philadelphia and other American cities. Bowen was a prominent Philadelphia lithographer and the most important mid-19th-century American publisher of publication plates. He was born in England circa 1801, immigrated to the United States in 1834, and worked as a colorist and lithographer in New York before relocating to Philadelphia. He took over the firm Wild & Chevalier, including the rights to Views of Philadelphia."

Richardson in the 1870s. He was the fourth Architect of the Capitol and responsible for adding the north (Senate) and south (House) wings and the central dome that is predominately the current appearance of the U.S. Capitol building. ... keep reading on reddit β‘This website, "UK Castles", lists 20 castles as being 'Neo-Romantic'. Wikipedia has just one such castle (Wernigerode Castle) and, in its article on Neo-Romanticism, does not define neo-romantic architecture.
I also searched the web for 'neo-romantic castles' and didn't learn what the characteristics of such architecture might be.
In fact, the 'Neo-Romantic' castles on UK Castles are mostly described as Gothic Revival on Wikipedia, such as 'Victorian Gothic Revival' for Banwell Castle.
Is the UK Castles website is mis-using the term, or are the two terms synonymous?

#Bi-Weekly Build Challenge, Week 90: Victorian Architecture Series; Gothic Revival (1830-1860)!
Most American Gothic Revival homes in the 1800s were romantic adaptations of medieval architecture. Delicate wooden ornaments and other decorative details suggested the architecture of medieval England. These homes did not try to replicate authentic Gothic styles β no flying buttresses were needed to hold up the Gothic Revival homes found throughout America. Between 1840 and 1880, Gothic Revival became a prominent architectural style for both modest residences and churches throughout the United States. Characteristics of the much-beloved Gothic Revival style and 19th-century architecture are listed below.
