Gel Pen Puns

I think Pilot G2 Gel Pens are the best pens that you can get for the money. I have used a G2 almost every single day for more than ten years now. They are precise. They are smooth. I have never had one dry up. I normally lose them before they run out of ink or break. Right now, you can get 5 of them for $6 online. I have tried a few others that have let me down.

I prefer to write with Blue Pilot G2 Gel Ink Pens with an extra fine 0.5mm tip. I will also use a black one or one with a fine 0.7mm tip if a blue one is not available. I am NOT a fan of 1.0 mm tipped pens. They are too bold for me.

Please let me know what you think. If you can change my view, I am open to buying and trying a different pen. Thanks Reddit Community!

Edit: For those who are thinking “fountain pen users prefer fountain pens, are you stupid?”, I obviously mean which one do you prefer if restricted to these two. For example, in some places like at school or at work you can’t use fountain pens for their crappy paper. Or just in general, which one would you use if you only had these two types of pens in your hand?

I never have to baby a Pilot G2 gel pen. I stick it inside my notebook, I hit the clicker end hard against the desk to retract it, I toss it and fling it and drop it -- and it stays as usable as ever.

Is there a fountain pen like that? I would love to have the ergonomics of a fountain pen when outside traveling, without having to baby it the way I do my fountain pens. A sturdy, lightweight fountain pen that won't get damaged no matter which part it falls on, even when uncapped?

I want to pick up a refillable, metal, and smooth writing pen that is either ballpoint or gel that costs less than $60. Any help is appreciated

Did not have a refill, instead a sponge sort of a cartridge.
