Finland has agreed to buy 64 Lockheed Martin fighter jets to replace its aging fleet of combat planes in a 10 billion-euro ($11.3 billion) deal that represents the Finnish military’s largest ever purchase.
According to the Finnish Defense minister, both Eurofighter Typhoon and Dassault Rafale failed to pass the performance tests. It doesn't say how exactly they failed but doesn't sound good. These planes have been touted as just as good as the F-35.

maybe the country previously used Springfield M39 or DEFA 553 or something similar and don't want to purchase a new fighter jet with whole different caliber that could cause supply issue(this is a "what if" type of situation) is such thing possible that eurofighter equipping different guns?

So in the end for India it was a choice between the rafale and typhoon
They choose the rafale because it was supposed to be cheaper (they already had experience and facilities needed to maintain French equipment since they had mirage-2000s, and some confusing stuff about France being more open to domestic production)
But then they cancelled many orders due to arguments over domestic production and thus the (now just) 36 rafales ended up being bought at 300 million per plane
So they choose the rafale because it's cheaper, but it didn't end up being cheap so what's the point? So they should have chosen the typhoon since cost didn't end up mattering anyway
What advantages the indian typhoon would have had over the indian rafale you might ask?
