Hello to all who read this post, firstly I'd like to warn you if you have only ever read the Light Novels or are an anime only for Re:Zero, cause from this point onwards, there will be heavy spoilers. With that said, let me introduce the reason why I am making this post: So firstly, I am a long time Re:Zero fan, who has gotten into reading the Web Novel quite recently. Secondly Re:Zero is my 2nd Favourite series of all times. And lastly it is the Dark Souls of anime, and Dark Souls happens to be my favourite game.
Because of mostly the first reason, I have had many assumptions and opinions about the Web Novel of Re:Zero, and so I would like to add my opinions on the subject, add my speculations, questions and last but not least hear everyones perspective on the matter.
So let's get started on the topics I am going to bring up, and my final and last WARNING OF SPOILERS!!
Topic #1 - Issues post Arc 4 + Time Skips
For those who read after the Arc 4 of the Web Novel, will notice a large time skip happening after Chapter 0 of Arc 5. That time skip was of One Whole Year after Subaru obtained his Knighthood. This tike skip is one of the top reasons that prompted me to make this discussion, mainly because it made me feel that soooooooo (Emilia pun intended) much was skipped that could add a lot of develoapmeant to the series. Don't get me wrong, I love Nagatsuki Tappei's work on Re:Zero, however it leaves a bit concerned for the future progression of the series as a whole. This leads me to the next few subtopics on this matter.
1.1 - Since I did not like this time skip and the important cut between Subaru and Al's conversation about being from Japan, I went wondering how the Light Novels are tackling this issue. And since only Volume 1 is translated I believe, this makes it difficult for us to verify how the series is truly going. After reading Arc 4 and looking up images and summaries of the Arc 4 LNs, I can tell that the premise hasnt changed much, and I deeply enjoy that, since Arc 4 was reaaaaaally well written, and my only complaint is a bit towards the end. However, the final Volume for finishing Arc 4 in the LN, hasnt been published yet in Japan and again since we have no translations it makes verifying how close the similarities with the WN are, therefore making it impossible at the moment to know if Re:Zero Anime/LN will suffer some major changes different from the WN.
So I want to ask everyone here, if anybody would know some information on this
