A list of puns related to "Emilia Name"
We are due with our first next week and having trouble finalizing a name. Our first choice right now is Emilia, but I go back and forth on whether it's a bit of a mouthful with our one syllable last name starting in Y. I think depending on how much you enunciate the end of Emilia, it kind of leads to a double Y sound going on. Wondering what others think. Also, we are lost on a middle name...any suggestions? Our other top choices for first names are Eloise, Josephine, and Lila. Naming a kid is so much harder for me than I thought it would be!
Help!
I know godparents isn't really as big a thing in Japanese culture as it is in American but it's still fun to think about.
I've always loved the idea of Aunt Ram so she's definitely my top pick for godmother.
I love to play Destiny (though i donโt have dlc since i recently switched from xbox), Phasmophobia, and AOE 2 :p
Edit: I play PC btw
Since iโve come out as trans, and due to covid and my general introverted self, My social life has become near non existent.
Id love to meet up with really anyone in the orlando area (Kissimmee) for just about anything, But I would prefer that you are also Trans or a strong ally.
I love to do just about anything, from coffee trips, movies, mini golf, walks through the park, really anything!
So let me know if youโd like to meet up, and possibly become friends ๐
Need help choosing a middle name! First name will either be Emilia or Emilie (feel free to give your input on which sounds better!)
Surname is 1 syllable, so Iโd like to avoid 1-syllable middle names.
Current ideas are Monet, Simone, and Siobhan.
Thanks!!!
Sadly, the anime removed the name of the combined attack that Subaru, Beatrice and Emilia used to defeat the White rabbit.
For those unaware, that attack was named Cocytus in the LN, Subaru being the one to name it. I did some research and discovered some interesting things about the name. Turns out it is the name of a river, one of the rivers that could take you to Hades domain in mythology. Not only that, after doing a bit more of digging I noticed that it is the name of a lake in the work "Divine Comedy", in that story the lake is a frozen lake in Hell, in which Satan stands forever imprisioned from the waist down covered in ice.
An interesting naming choice for an attack that imprisioned demonic rabbits into a frozen landscape and made them get forever stuck in another dimension right?
Do you think the name was censored/cut from anime due to religious implications? Yes or no? Also, did you enjoy this tiny bit of trivia?
We were thinking: Emilia Ylette Emilia Sadie Emilia Penelope Emelia Rosa Emilia Araceli
I am concerned of too much โiaโ or โaโ sound at the beginning of the middle name. Any and all suggestions welcome! Iโm also welcome to more American names. Just want something that feels right!
Did she know Subaru had never heard of the witch of envy, if not what was the purpose of this

I'm trying to make it somewhat poetic but I suck at wordplay.
Lots of myths and stories have meanings attached to names. In Celtic myth knowing somethings name allows you to summon the entity attached to it, in Greek and roman myth people saying a name gets their attention, and in Christian it is a description of the person that holds it.
I like the Chinese version where the name you chose is a statement of what you can do, and people will always call you on it. For instance if someone calls themselves, "the Fighting Buddha," you can bet they will live up to the name.
Emilia means "she who rivals," "she who excels," "she who emulates," "she who exceeds" which on its own is pretty metal but I need at least a last name and I have no idea what to use.
Does anyone have resources where I could look up this kind of thing? I just really don't want to end up with something tacky like, "she who exceeds god."
Having a hard time finding a middle name for our first-born. She would be Emilia ___ D, with two syllables for last name, rhyming w โalign.โ Unsure of syllable-length for middle.
Some ideas:
Her great-grandmother was Frida, but we donโt love that name, though would like to use an F to honor her. That said, also open to unrelated non-F names, too. We are open to all sorts of classical names and considering all origins. We have roots in Russia, Israel, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland.
Nicknames we like for Emilia: Emmi, Emma, Milli, Mila
Dislikes include Fredricka, Freya, Felicia, Florence, Fiona
