A list of puns related to "Electron Multiplier"
I need one for my research and am scratching my head trying to find one. Apparently you can buy one at CERN, but I haven't had any luck finding any links. I also would need a thing GEM. Here is the article from CERN about them:

Any help would be appreciated, and thank you so much!
Seems that the EM in mass specs lasts about two years- a little less if they're exposed to atmosphere.
What is it (mechanically, chemically) that causes the EM to degrade? Is it reversible? Can they be remanufactured?
Crystal math!
Hi everybody,
With the current hype, lets talk about NFTs, DAOs, Web3, the metaverse and why is this the future.
I would like to put emphasis on NFTs being mostly value (and will be calculated according to their fundamentals, depending on the project and service is providing, what is backing it) can be swapped, exchanged and transformed into currency (could be into fiat currency, but more like a smart bank check that is flexible) for the next era, a middleman facilitator to exchange a product, service, fulfil a need. NOT the main product (as is being used currently in form of "art", as the first way to use it, but no the future potential of it.
NFTs have the potential to be the internal currency of a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization), just like dollars are to a business like GameStop to trade items from the website. NFTs are a new better version of bank checks since they are smart.
Can be used like currency (after is traded, since is value), but also I think is better to see them as smart checks (a check which individually has a separate value).
Lets dig a bit more into this amazing world :)
Note that NFTS have many different application and not just this, but this in particular is the one that will help changing the current corrupted financial banking system (fractional banking based in fiat).
Edited: thanks to an ape in the comments to help me clarify this part.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
Before I begin, let me tell you there is no TLDR for this. Itβs a myriad of problems involved with no ELI5 explanation. I have been thinking about this and writing this and re-writing this to try and make it make sense for a few days now. Donβt think this is a stream-of-consciousness rant, so please try to put some effort into responses.
Put simply, the recent changes since the βExpositionβ update have been making the game harder, and more complex, and the developers seem to want to continue that trend by adding new randomizing items and even more ghost types. As a player with some 600h now in the game who was enjoying the game a lot back when it was casual and easier to enjoy with friends, I often now enjoy the game less, because the direction it is moving in is catering to a continually diminishing group of people that can both keep up with all the drastic game changes, and after a month or so need something new, harder, and more involved. Though I do see the problem that the old, casual gameplay could become stale eventually, for everyone.
But Phaz is a good game, at its core. I have met some really cool people through playing it. But the game is soon going to start becoming less popular with each new bunch of mechanics, and skill changes, the game gets harder to learn. Not to mention itβs now pretty much a guarantee that any major release is going to have quite a few problems that need many subsequent patches to enjoy.
The reasons why I think Phaz is taking the wrong direction are addressed in the following sections:
I had a group of about 9 friends pick up the game around the time of the exposition update. Only 2 are still playing, and the rest gave up, the game is too damn hard to learn from scratch. Not everyone has the time to go watch streamers for hours and hours on end, or even knows about the official discord. In games with my friends, they just died over and over to easy ghost hunts. But thereβs so much to explain that even if I tried to help them, I would need double figures of hours to teach them. Even if I DID have that time, they donβt. We all have our own lives to lead, we donβt have weeks of free time to spend with each other.
The journal recently got an update, in the βCursed possessionsβ update, and a lot more information to help new players, but itβs not enough. There's so much the journal SHOULD be saying, about how the mechanics work, but doesnβt. The Onryo description is still, if we

You want to know why most retail lose on their short term trades/plays? It's because they blindly throw money at stocks they didn't fully research and honestly don't know enough about. Retail is notoriously bad at chasing stocks which already ran, selling stocks that were already oversold/undervalued and trading based off fear/emotion. They always trade off share price, rather than fundamentals and usually don't understand WHY things are happening.
If you want to avoid the mistakes that most retail traders make, start with learning as much as you can about your possible investments. I'll do my best to try to make the dry stuff with ATER readable.

It really does, I swear!
Trust me, this is a lot more than 5 minutes. A LOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTT more.
(Problem 1: The Timer)
So how do we get rid of the primary obstacle: The natural 5 minute timer in every game. There is no way to get rid of it.
Thousands of light-years away, there are quasars emitting highly concentrated neutron beams. Since these are so far away, the chance of them hitting Earth are pretty much zero, but there is a chance.
If one of these beams hit your phone, then it could cause what is known as a soft error. Soft errors cause small malfunctions in the transistors running your electronics. One of these soft errors could cause the one piece of code that governs the timer to malfunction and raise it up to insane levels.
According to this guy on the internet, the average electronic gets 2 soft errors a year. If you spend an hour a day every day playing clash royale, the chance of getting a soft error per day is 0.02%. (2/365/24 = 0.0002)
Those arenβt great odds, but thatβs just the chance of a soft error. We need the soft error to change the timer or remove the timer. We will disregard the timer since in the scale of this video no value it could be changed to would be significant enough. Therefore, we will look at the probability of the timer being removed.
I donβt code so these are very rough guesses. Iβd say that the timer altogether, including the visuals and mechanics, consist of 1000 lines of code. I might be way off but this seems reasonable.
According to this guy on the internet, big games typically have 500 thousand to 10 million lines of code. Since clash Royale is on the smaller end of these big boy games Iβll estimate itβs line count to be a million.
Assuming soft errors affect 1000 lines of code, the chances of this affecting the timer is roughly 0.1%. This is oversimplified but letβs say if the soft error hits the timer, thereβs a β chance it wonβt do anything, a β chance itβll add code to the timer section, and a β chance itβll delete code.
Out of the 1000 lines of code, 5 of them govern the 5 minute timer, so thatβs a 0.5% chance.
So all in all, letβs do the math.
0.0002 * 0.001 * 0.33 * 0.005 = 0.00000000165 or 0.000000165% chance to get a soft error that removes the timer.
Which means that itβll be an average of 606 million games before you get this. 12 games a day, that means itβll be 50 million days before you experience this, aka 138000 years.
Obviously we canβt set things up within a human lifetime or even the entir

##Armenian soldiers destroyed an Azeri position on January 11 | Casualties | OSCE statement | Aliyev about OSCE
OSCE urged Azerbaijan and Armenia to deescalate and engage in a meaningful dialogue over the Karabakh issue.
The statement comes amid Azerbaijan's border attack on Tuesday. Armenia lost three soldiers and two were wounded. Azeri media reported the death of at least one soldier.
Military expert Karen Hovhannisyan: the enemy sustained big losses. I'm just curious how they will present their human losses now. They can hide the armored vehicle and equipment losses, but I'm curious what they will do regarding deaths. Will they claim the soldiers died on a landmine? //
The clashes took place within Armenian territories where Azerbaijan had illegally encroached in May 2021. Immediately after the January 11 clashes, videos were circulated showing a burning position. Video 1 and Video 2. Armenian soldiers filmed the ammunition explosion.
The burning position is the one that's 2.4km within Armenian territory. It's 5km from Verin Shorzha village.
The Armenian position, from which the soldiers filmed the video, is 230 meters away. It is safe to suggest that one of the Azeri positions within Armenia has now been destroyed, concluded CivilNet's fact-checkers.
QP MP Khachatryan: the clashes took place after Armenian soldiers began fortifying their positions with engineering work. Azeris attempted to stop them. Armenia responded. It led to the clashes. //
Reporter: did Armenia contact CSTO after Azerbaijan's January 11 border provocation?
Foreign Ministry: we keep our international partners informed regularly about border incidents. On January 11, the Armenian forces neutralized the Azeri provocations. //
##Azerbaijan throws a tantrum at OSCE, calls it obsolete
Aliyev does not want OSCE Minsk Group to engage in Karabakh negotiations. He repeated his claim that "the conflict is resolved", and that they don't need Minsk Group anymore, and that it's time for the co-chairs to "retire".

Gold Bull Markets and Bear Markets in History and the case for owning physical Silver.
Year Price 2001 Gold $250 2020 Gold $2000+ $2000 / $250 is 8x return
1971-1980 +2600% $35-$800oz
9yr Bull Market occurred.
(26xβs your money.)
Then a 19 year Bear Market, 1980-1999
1999-2011 +670% $250-1900oz 12yr Bull Market Occurred. 6.7xβs your money
Then a 4 year Bear Market Occurred 2011-2015
We are now in a Gold Bull Market expected to last 10 years. If we use the two previous average time frames 2015-Started the present Bull Market Low $1050- $14,000 oz minimum expected (if Bull Market is the average time frame or 10 years) And if it experienced the average annual growth of the last two bull markets.
Major Point: Gold always wins We are in a bull market, Appreciation is certain. Gold prices are at all time highs now in all currencies including the dollar. Fiat money is being printed at a vastly greater amount than in all of history.
In the Depression, the greatest deflation period in the US $20.67 Gold price at the start. $35 oz Gold at end. Up 70%. During 30% Deflation.
In the world of inflation Gold also wins.
Example: 1976-81
US gold during 55% inflation,
US gold 300% appreciation
$150 oz to $600 oz.
During those 5 years
Gold maintains purchasing power in inflation or deflation.
20 years ago, the average closing price of gold was $279.29. Gold is now $2000. That is 7.16 times the money! The stock market hasnβt done even close to that. And gold is going to go way higher. See chart in link.
Gold Prices - 100 Year Historical Chart | MacroTrends
What is the Dollar price of gold? David Morgan: it is extremely simple to find out. All you do is you take the base money supply. How many dollars are there and divide it by ounces of gold. This many dollars divided by this many ounces. It is $15,000 per oz of gold. If silver is money, it is about 1/15th the price of gold. That puts an ounce of silver at $1000. (If you paid $20 per oz then $1000 / 20 is 50. 50x you money.
Now you determine the silver price.

Now imagine that there is a way that a third party is able to confirm and validate pieces of data, confirming that the data is correct and assigning it a unique space in a blockchain.
That third party is a ledger-based blockchain, the one best suited to perform this duty currently is Ethereum (thatβs why GME is working based on etherium).
But what do I care about validation? How is that affects me in the real world?
This opens a huge door of opportunities, letβs explore some.
Web3 will evolve systems like a country registration of IDs for example.
Currently there is a project called ENS Ethereum Name Service, this project allows anybody to link their Crypto Wallet to their Ethereum identity (ENS), your name is minted in an unique block (NFT) and no one else can have that name, you will have effectively an unique validated and verifiable ID on the blockchain.
So far itβs your name.eth (example, Melon.eth).
That ledger can effectively replace Passports and mint your Identity as an NFT (Holberg, principal engineer at GameStop) design this NFT application called HODLBERG.

Here we go.
Let's talk about NFTs, DAOs, Web3, the metaverse and why is this the future.
Emphasis should be put in understanding that NFT's (Non-Fungible Tokens) of the past will work differently than in the future.
Instead of being the main product (Art) like it is today, it will be a contract of value by performing a service or fulfilling a need.
That smart contract will hold value according toΒ their fundamentals, depending on the project and service it's providing, and what is backing it similar to the price discovery in any modern markets.
You can swap, exchange, or transform your NFT's into any currency of your choosing and even use it as a currency itself in exchange for a product or service.
NFTs have the potential to be the internal currency of a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization), just like dollars are to businesses like GameStop in exchange for items from their website.
