A list of puns related to "E85"
Is there anywhere to buy e85 fuel or 100, 104 octane fuel in the city? Highest I've seen is 94 at Petro Can. Any tips appreciated, thanks.
Whatβs everything I need for e85? I got the hpfp, I know Iβll need a tune, maybe the e85 hpfp safety rebuild kit, but is there anything else?
All 3 Kroger's fuel centers I went by yesterday were closed due to lack of gasoline, and every other station listed on the alternative energy site map no longer carry it either.
I searched but last post is from 6 years ago.. does anyone know of a gas station that currently has E85? Gas buddy lists some, as does a random E85 page on the interweebs, but the ones Iβve tried that are listed do not have itβ¦.
Any suggestions?
I recently got my E30 tune from phatbotti and the email is intimidating. He mentions in the email to fill up with 6-8 gallons of E85 and fill the rest up with 91. My fuel levels are a little over my last bar so my question is, can this be applied anytime no matter what my fuel levels are at such as at half tank? Thanks !
I just got to Colorado for the first time from the east coast. The regular gas here is E85 and E87 is mid grade. However, the E87 also costs like $3.60+. I checked the owners manual to see if my truck could use E85 but it only said fuel flex vehicles can, but didnβt state if it was fuel flex. Can I use E85 gas in my Colorado?
First 2 revisions now that we started working on e85 are.. underwhelming. Barely seeing a difference through virtual Dyno and not really feeling like much of a difference. Is this expected on the first few revisions when switching from the pump gas tuning process to ethanol?? Trying not to worry and understand of this is just all part of the process.
Anyone care to share the experience with e85? My 2017 frontier is flex fuel capable and I found a place by my house the started carrying it. Was wondering if anyone has had a bad experience with it or has noticed any difference?
I have been having an ambler brake light on my 2007 3.0si. Only other warning light is TPMS which I haven't dug into yet. Brake reservoir is just under the max line. This makes me wonder if it isn't the brake level sensor (or switch as some sites have it listed). For this car it isn't just replace the cap with the built in sensor it is part of the reservoir itself. Before just buying a new reservoir/sensor it would be nice to know if it is the sensor or not. I checked continuity of the sensor with level just under max, which there was, but I can't seem to find if the sensor is NC or NO. Anyone happen to know? Or anyone have a minute to check theirs?
I don't have anything to get the current brake fluid out of the reservoir to empty it below the min line but that is the next thing I was going to try.
Has anyone attempted to do a 2.3 engine on e85? How would you prepare it? And have you ever had problems running it like that? Does it really blow your engine stock block?

Just bought a 2016 impala lt Limited with a 3.6 v6 the other day, just realized itβs got a yellow cap with E85. I was wondering if that means it only takes 85, or if I can put unleaded in it, wouldnβt mind losing a little horsepower for better gas mileage. Also is it bad to go back and forth between the two? I tried googling it but couldnβt find much in depth info, thanks!
I recently switched to E85, I ran the tank of E85 to about half and then got on it a little. I noticed some stuttering and breakup once in higher boost around 10-20 range. What is causing this? I believe my plugs are gapped to .026, should I go to a lower gap?
I did get it on it a little easier slowly building boost to 20 psi and noticed no issue.
Hey all, I'm looking to start an ethanol distillery to produce e85, does anyone here have experience with something like that? I live in Rhode Island and its about 50 miles from the nearest e85 station, I'd be selling in 55 gallon drums for the most part but may eventually start an actual gas station. I need to know a little more about the economics behind starting a biofuel distillery/the legal side of things. Any advice is helpful!
