Andy Shepherd and Niguel McGuinness welcome fans to WWE NXT UK! We kick things off with the first women’s match scheduled for today’s show!
Emilia McKenzie vs. Isla Dawn
Emilia McKenzie charges towards Isla Dawn in the corner and rains down a flurry of offense. McKenzie sends Dawn to the center of the ring with a massive slam. She goes for a pin. Dawn kicks out. McKenzie ducks Dawn’s attack and hits a powerful suplex for another near-fall. Dawn rocks McKenzie with a series of stomps and then a cover. McKenzie pops free. Dawn comes crashing on top of McKenzie with a double knee takedown for another near-fall.
Dawn rolls McKenzie up with a small cradle. McKenzie gets her shoulders up at two. Dawn tosses McKenzie right out of the ring right after and lands a big soccer kick from off the apron. McKenzie slams Dawn into the barricade and throws her back into the ring.
Dawn finds momentum with an enziguri. McKenzie responds with a cutter. Cover. Dawn kicks out. McKenzie scales the ropes and misses her mark as Dawn clocks her right in the face. Dawn catches McKenzie with a back driver. McKenzie evades Dawn’s finisher with a massive spear. Will this be enough? Cover. No! Dawn fights out at two. Dawn starts channeling the evil spirits that live inside her as she wraps her hands around McKenzie’s face. McKenzie turns it around with a triangle lock, followed by a perfect German Suplex. Roll the Dice! Duke Devlin Appears!
Duke Devlin is finally in Duel Links, and he's bringing sexy back.
This event is pretty straight forward, and follows suit and the last few character unlocks we've been having. Duke appears as a roaming duelist, as well as at the gate, and you need a special type of item to duel him. In this case, it's dice.
Defeating Duke will earn you points towards his eventual unlock, as well other other items like Sleeves, a Game Mat, gems, some new cards -including Duke's ace monster, finally one not locked in a box, and of course a Title and Icon.
During the event you'll unlock memories from Duke's past, with the first one revolving around "Four Aces". These memories are important for the process of eventually unlocking Duke, as you'll need to complete them (by just watching/reading, skipping over it) to actually obtain Duke.
[Duke also drops Orgoth the Relentless, B.E.S. Big Core Mk-2, Prime Material Dragon, Ambitious Gofer, and Goblin Black Ops at the Gate].
Also, if you're oblivious to why every is all-of-a-sudden "Bringing Sexy Back", search YGOTAS on YouTube, specifically Episode 22
EDIT: Duke's unlock event ended up being a little different than what we're used to seeing. This process was leaked/shared on the sub earlier and is what lead many to believe Duke's event may be unique.
To unlock Duke, you now will get the chance to roll two dice after defeating Duke in a duel. If one (or both) of these land on a Star, you unlock a piece of a puzzle. Once the puzzle is complete, Duke is unlocked.
It also looks like Sleeves, and two other unlocks are available after you obtain Duke Devlin.

Here are highlights from a video interview with Dean Devlin about Leverage: Redemption.
This is just a loose paraphrase, some of it is directly quoted, the rest is just from watching the video.

Here's the run-through of the interview:
- Why the new show?
Dean mentioned what has always amazed him about the original show was how much people connected with it. He mentioned how a family approached him while he was in a restaurant in Serbia and told him about how their family would gather once a week to watch the show, and it got them through dark times.
- How did the show find its way to IMDB TV?
Dean mentioned that while Leverage was on TNT he owned it, the rarity of an independently made scripted show, at the time they were the only ones. After TNT canceled it, they had the ability to move it if they could find another home. Timing was good as IMDB TV started up their free television service, a perfect fit. However, they sold it right when the pandemic hit, so they made 54 hours of TV when many other productions were not being made. They had to be safe, it took more time and money, but they were thankful for being able to keep it going.
- How did they fill in the gaps considering the time since the original show?
John Rogers and Chris Downey, who did the original show, wrote the first two episodes of the new one. Dean spoke positively of how they weaved exposition and back story into the plot, in the middle of an action sequence, instead of stopping the story to do that.
- How are they drawing in both existing and new fans?
Dean mentioned not worrying about the success or marketability, he takes the point of view of writing it the way he'd want to watch it as a fan, and if he does that then the enthusiasm will be shared. He mentioned they really missed the characters, they missed making the show, and they wanted to reunite.
He added that Amazon tested the first several episodes and it was a success!
- Was there a moment when everything clicked and it felt like home with the characters?
Before starting on the show, they had a table read (remote/zoom in this case), and in a matter of seconds all of the actors were the characters again. Completely. Like no time passed. Noah Wyle, new to

A-Kid takes on Jordan Devlin
A loaded edition of NXT UK will feature a heated collision between newfound rivals A-Kid and Jordan Devlin, a slugfest pitting Tyler Bate and Jack Starz against one another for the coveted NXT UK Heritage Cup, new NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura addressing the NXT UK Universe, and more.
Though they haven’t frequently crossed paths, A-Kid and Devlin seemed to immediately dislike one another during a recent backstage encounter.
A-Kid believes he has handled his loss of the NXT UK Heritage Cup in an appropriate manner, while Devlin has become bitter since losing the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, and he has vowed to teach Devlin a lesson and make him “respect defeat.”
