A list of puns related to "Defense In Depth"
I've previously made charts about Viper vs Avenger. Here's a new one showing the difference range makes when comparing the 2 weapons (at LVL 12 MK2 x 2):
Y is total damage, X is Range
Zero defense - Purely range based
As you can see, it looks like a relatively even distribution. Avengers do more damage until about 200 meters. At around 250 meters, Vipers produce more damage.
So it looks like Vipers are very good at producing nice, consistent damage from 0-500 meters.
Avengers are great close up, but drop very quickly after 300 meters. With Sharps
*EDIT* Adding Sharpshooter - SS makes 100% accurate to 150 meters.
Viper vs Avengers with Sharpshooter Pilot skill
Now lets analyze defense points + range. This is where DoT can be beneficial.
100 Meters (X is defense points, Y is total damage)

Hello, First off, I want to thank this Tekken community, the content creators, and promoters. I feel lucky to be surrounded by such positive influences.
Now, For all the visual learners out there, I have been creating in depth block punishment/move analysis guides for each Tekken character, and after 6 months, I've finally completed all of them for each character including DLC. It's hard to balance real life with passion for Tekken 7, but I wasn't going to stop just because it got hard. I really hope these help you, as they help me with something I've really struggled with in Tekken, which is Move Recognition. In order to fight against something, you have to be able to recognize it, know the answer, and execute accordingly. (A lesson learned from Aris' Junkyard video.) Unlike other punishment guides that inspired me, I included the safe moves in my videos and included the move properties, because I like to know when my opponent is -8 so I can take my turn, or if they are +4 so I know i need to slow my roll and respect their frame trap, or if the move is homing or armored. It is very surprising how many punishment guides out there do not include every move, or only show unsafe moves, or do not feature any repetition or frame data.
The Guides: All data was collected from TekkenBotPrime, rbnorway.org, personal tests, and the T7 Season 2 patch notes. Each guide has a lot of time and effort behind them, and I truly hope you reading this, find each of them helpful. Also, my voice is not in any of the punishment guides, it is all transcribed on screen, so you can study them with any music you'd like by lowering the volume if so desired.
Disclaimers: Feng is my main, so all the guides are done as him, however the frame data/knowing highs to duck can be applied to any character, so they are extremely multi-purpose in nature if you know your character's specific punishes. These guides take an extreme amount of clipping, video editing, and transcription, but I wholeheartedly hope they are a useful resource to you. That being said, I am human, and I doubt I will catch 100% of errors, but damn do I try my best for you. After a video is published I always read comments, and I make annotations in the highlighted/pinned comment.
Stagger lows can be delay hopkicked, or crouch cancelled into a stronger launcher, which i sometimes show, however my guides are meant to help any level of player just start to recognize

I wanted to take this opportunity to share an analysis that I built out using Natural Stat Trick's (NST) online database - in hopes of adding some objectivity to the plethora of opinionated posts that have flooded this sub. Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Erik Karlsson, two players that once dominated the league, are now now facing extreme heat from the fan-base for their lack of 'performance'. Having been hardcore fans of these two players since they've entered the league, I have held my opinion while the fan base has shown their disapproval of the managerial decisions and the players' performances on the ice. My objective was to delve deeper into the team's analytics and draw some conclusions with the data at hand.
I want to preface this analysis by saying that the Sharks' goaltending (up until around Christmas) has been completely abysmal, so I will not be using any goals against analysis for that reason. If you look at team-level analytics, the Sharks' 5 on 5 possession figures are in the middle of the pack: including xGF%, CF%/FF%, High danger scoring opportunities, and odd-man rushes. However, the Sharks' 5 on 5 sv% is the worst in the league and carry one of the worst save % for low-danger shots. I truly believe if the Sharks had a true number one goaltender, they would be competing for a wildcard spot.. but that's my opinion and I said I would be keeping this objective, so here we go..
The first step for the analysis was to pull all of the data from the defensive pairings' query in NST's database. I looked at all the pairing combinations with 60+ minutes TOI at 5 on 5. The purpose of this was to get all of my observations within 80-90% of the TOI population to prune off any one-off situations/pairings (think of Middleton and Carrick) that can skew the distribution. 12 pairings were populated and I used these as the basis for my analysis. Before I aggregated the data to a player-by-player node, I wanted to see how each defensive pairing performed on a per/minute bases using Scoring Chances For/Against, High Danger, Medium Danger, Low Danger For/Against, and Corsi For/Against, with respect to their offensive and defensive zone starts. Using the 60 minute minimum threshold, one might be able to draw some conclusions of the vast amount of experimenting that has been going on with the defensive pairings. I r

Part one of ???, solving the hottest mystery: Who Shattered Pink Diamond? (WSPD)
This post will focus on Blue Zircon's defense during the trial of the shattering; it is the most detailed recounting of events thus far so far. I'll transcribe it below, as I will be referencing to specific parts.
Zircon: "Rose had every motive to shatter PD, but COULD she(!1)? BD may I show your palanquin?"
YD:"Is this necessary?"(!2)
Zircon: "Now as the records show, PD was shattered just outside a palaquin much like this. Witnesses(!3) said Pink had stepped out and had taken only a few steps forward when Rose attacked her from the front. But how? At the time of PD's shattering, Rose Quartz had been a recgonized threat for several hundred years. There were no RQ soldiers in her entourage, none in her guard, so HOW did a RQ with no business being anywhere near PD,get so close in the first place. Where were PD's attentdants, her agates, her sapphiers, and where was her pearl?(!4)"
YD: "They were with her of course! they saw the whole thing!" (!2)
PD: But none of them saw RQ approach? Wouldn't her Sapphiers have seen RQ coming? Wouldn't her Agates have tried to fight her off?(!5)
YD: She must have slipped past them! (!2)
Z: "Even if she did, wouldn't her Pearl have cried out in alarm? 'Watch out my Diamond!' No who ever did this was already close to PD. Someone her guards her guards would allow to get near her. Someone she would listen to when asked to stop her palanquin and step outside. And someone with the authority to cover it up afterwards!Someone with supreme authority, SOMEONE LIKE ONE OF YOU!"(!6)
YD: destablizes both Zircons;"This is pointless!"(!2)
(!1) - This is obvious and discussed frequently. If Diamonds are the strongest and most powerful, could a RQ shatter one? In the real world, only diamonds can scratch diamonds. One could argue that since PD was a defective diamond, she could be shattered by a lower gem. Could a fusion shatter her? Maybe. But just maybe.
(!2) Reoccuring, YD trying to sweep all important parts of the defense under the rug. Anything that would get BD and other gems closer to knowing the truth, she immeditatley tries to dismiss. I don't think YD shattered PD, she is pretty obviously a red herring. However, YD is meant to smart and logical. **She most likely pieced together the mystery ages ago, but is forced to

TLDR; Will using more obscure programming language make you more secure? Basically Defense in depth.
Firstly, I'm not here to talk about php or windows issues, they are staple work horses, that takes a lot of flak because they get USED.
A lot of vulnerabilities is searched and found in windows and php due to the fact that 90% of the desktop market runs windows and 83% server-side web sites runs php.
So there is a lot of reward, good or bad, to finding exploits in these technologies.
Recent security threats got me thinking: if a measure you can take is to develop your stack in multiple languages using different compilers.
Just the same manner as you get security via depth in networking by using different vendors in your network eg, cisco <-> mikrotik <-> pfsense <-> openwrt
You can do in languages python <-> freepascal <-> erlang <-> haskell, etc.
With most languages designed around gcc, llvm, jdk, .net this might not help, due to the mainstream aspect. Also everything get compiled/interpreted to asm, so maybe my planned obscurity is useless.
Mainstream tech also have the HUGE pro of exploits getting patched. Where with obscure languages and libraries, might stay unpatched due to abandoned, orphaned libs, etc.
Finally all tech mentioned is just examples. Not that I'm planning to orchestrate such mess(yet).
But might this be a option for state actors trying to make information just a little bit harder to access?
Because now a threat needs to understand how your different systems integrate and have access to skilled resources. That can comprehend different languages and how they work/interact.
Or does all this just sound like bureaucratic bull and I have to start searching for a job in the government IT department?
Dear Reader,
Hello, First off, I want to thank this tekken community, the content creators, and promoters. I feel lucky to be surrounded by such positivity. It's been about 2 months since I started creating these guides, and the feedback I've received has been amazing. I've been steadily becoming a stronger Tekken player since I joined this community and I want to give back to a game I love, and a community I care for.
Now, For all my visual learners out there, I have been creating in depth block punishment/move analysis guides for each tekken character. There are 44 Tekken 7 characters currently, (46 with Julia and Negan on the way), and there are 23 complete guides below. I really hope these help you, as they help me with something I've really struggled with in Tekken, which is Move Recognition. In order to fight against something, you have to be able to recognize it, know the answer, and execute accordingly. (A lesson learned from Aris' Junkyard video.) Unlike other punishment guides that inspired me, I included the safe moves in my videos, because I like to know when my opponent is -9 so I can take my turn, or if they are +3 so I know i need to slow my roll and respect their frame trap.

Each guide has a lot of time and effort behind them, and I truly hope you reading this, find each of them helpful. Also, my voice is not in any of the punishment guides, it is all transcribed on screen, so you can study them with any music you'd like by muting them, and study at any speed you'd like.
Disclaimers: Feng is my main, so all the guides are done as him, however the frame data/knowing highs to duck can be applied to any character. These guides take an extreme amount of clipping, video editing, and transcription, but I wholeheartedly hope they are a useful resource to you. Stagger lows can be delay hopkicked, or crouch cancelled into a stronger launcher, however my guides are meant to help any level of player just start to recognize what they can potentially get off of blocking certain attacks, and getting familiar with the animations, so an i15 WS launcher is shown in these examples.
If a move has pushback, it's often only punishable at the wall, but not in the open, or may require a specific punish
