I will start this by saying that I'm not really used to reddit. I ghost a couple places but never post anything, so if something is wrong please let me know.

I was talking with some friends, and we got into the colonization topic, one of the major reasons Europeans were able to colonize the Americas was that their diseases eliminated a lot of the population, so what if the opposite happened?

Native american diseases kill most or all of the first few groups of colonizers. News might never get to Europe. Do they keep sending colonizers or just switch focus to Asia?

Indians just saw a bunch of white guys come and die, leaving behind a bunch of "advanced" technology, how does that impact their way of life and culture? Do they try to use the ships and go find where the white men came from? Would them be able to learn how to use one of those ships?

Fast forward 500 years, what the world looks like nowadays? When did the two different continents finally start mixing? Did that happen at all?

I have a couple different answers, and was interested to see what you all think.

"It was in the air days before the infected came" Where did the Airborne strain originated? I've seen it mentioned in radios and it's one of the primary the original Quarantine in Louisville fell and it seems to have existed before the first infected came.

"Illness ravages survivors from the camp assault. Speaker 1: Our reporter is on the ground. Speaker 2: There are people here who have had NO contact with the infected. Speaker 2: They're running fevers. They're incapacitated. Speaker 2: Without urgent medical attention many will soon die."

There are so many questions, especially about the point of origin in Knox and the patient zero.

Radios mention several theories about the infection as a whole but still.

I don't have Lyme decease, I know someone really struggling with it. Can't find anything anyone stumble across anything?

The Problem: After every meal for the past year I have a checklist for a strict routine of flossing, brushing, tongue scraping, oil pulling, and mouthwash, yet my boyfriend of the past 4 years says my breath smells bad. For the past 2 years or so it has been varying from "slightly bad, but we can still French kiss" to "really bad and I don't want to kiss you because the bacteria in your mouth would get in my mouth and cause bad breath".

Background: Before last year, I had a normal routine of flossing, brushing, and sometimes mouthwash, but I have been adding more items to my hygene routine to try to decrease bad breath. We determined my breath is worse when eating protein shakes so I cut that out of my diet last year. I have a mostly plant based diet. I go to my dentist every 6 months and he says everything looks great. I ruled out tonsil stones. It's not just my boyfriend who thinks I have bad breath because when I wear a mask or smell something like a spoon that has been in my mouth, I can sometimes smell my bad breath too. I have read the WebMD and mayo clinic articles about the causes of bad breath. I speculate one cause is perhaps my microbiome or something beyond my mouth because yesterday I used 94% grain alcohol as mouthwash, hahaha. I do not recommend because I still can't taste anything. I will see my doctor to help determine the cause, but I thought perhaps in the meantime an expert can point me in the right direction to find more info about other potential causes and interventions. We are in TN. I have a lawyer, but it is the weekend so I am asking here.

My son is 6 years old. His dad sees him on Sundays at a family member’s house. He is wanting to file for visitation to get more time with our son, even though he works nights on Fridays and Saturdays.

I told my lawyer that my ex smokes weed and he could possibly be selling it. I also told him that my ex’s on and off again girlfriend is known to be selling weed. I did say that I did not have any proof. He said that we could hire a PI to gather evidence for us. So I am almost 100% certain the PI will catch him doing something he shouldn’t be.

My ex got an apartment about a month ago. But back in 2018, he and his brother had a place together that they got evicted from because their neighbor called the police and said they smelled weed smoke coming from the apartment. My ex’s brother ended up taking the charge for that. I found those charges online. Would my PI be able to link those charges with their eviction and use that as evidence that my ex has been involved in things he shouldn’t be, or at least he was in 2018?

Also, if he is found to be selling or hanging around known drug dealers (my lawyers words) and we bring that evidence to our court hearing would it play a part at all in the decision making for visitation?

He does not take our son anywhere and he never has. And I really do not want him having permission to drive our son around and have him around that kind of environment. My ex has also said his mental health isn’t great right now so that also bothers me (I have that from a text msg). I would like for him to be drug tested, but I know he will try some kind of detox treatment before our hearing.

This is a bit of r/EntitledParents so here it is.

I have Hemiparesis which is: Muscle weakness or partial paralysis on one side of the body that can affect the arms, legs, and facial muscles. I have it on all of my left side, it makes me limp when walking, or running. I appreciate how my PE teachers allow people that have physical problems to go to Pre-Athletics.

(EK does not know I have any issues.)

EK is one of the most popular kid in my school and well, he makes some very NSFW comments about everyone in public and does this for me too.

I had told him to stop doing it that day and he just smirked then walked away from me. Later that day when we were doing this game that helped us with our American Football skills. I was going up and caught the ball while someone (EK’s Friend) was chasing me.

I saw EK talking to one of his annoying friends, I think he might have said something like this.

EK - Grab him and get that little shit down.

EK’s Friend - Alright, maybe we’ll get him out of PE.

I was supposed to do a loop around the track and had to pass through EK and his Friend. But before anything happened my shoe fell right as I got the ball and I continued to do what I needed to do, I was close enough to them and EK’s Friend jumped as EK got close.

EK - Why don’t you walk normal, do you want attention or something?

I struggle to get out as my PE teacher gets close and I don’t answer. He steps on my right foot in someway that I felt my toes cracking.

Me - GET ME OUT OF HERE!

EK - I can get my mom to kick you out of Pre-Athletics. I can get people to jump you, I can do anything.

Me - I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU WANT JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE!

EK’s Friend and my PE Teacher were right there at the right time because EK started saying some very racist words at me. My PE Teacher grabs EK and runs to the School Campus, his helper had taken me to the nurse. Thank god it was only a few toes that were scratched and weren’t going to help my limping.

I went back to PE as fast as possible and I hear this coming from the PE Teacher’s office.

EM - YOU BETTER GET THIS KID OUT OF YOUR CLASS! HE ISN’T WORTH KEEPING IN YOUR CLASS, HE’S DISABLED!

Principal - That is still no way to treat a classma-

EM - DON’T YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT MY CHILD KAREN!

Principal - Miss I’m going to make you leave if you keep this behavior, and for you EK you’re getting suspended for 2 weeks. Now I ask you to please leave.

EM - OKAY KAREN!

I
