I have an errand to run near there today, and also need a key cut to my 2005 Pontiac vibe. Does anybody know where I can get one cut?
I want a boat to tour the islands with my family and very occasionally, fish. With Covid boat prices are nuts and the type of boat I'd want is going anywhere from 75K-150K which is just too damn much for occasional use. A Seaswirl Striper, Grady White, Jeanneau, some Bayliners etc. A cruiser that can fit at least 4 comfortably. There must be some boat owners out there who would be willing to rent once a month or so at a very good price (say $700 for a weekend day, $1200 for the weekend). I'd arrange boat renters insurance to cover the value of the vessel. Or, perhaps there is somebody like me who wants to own but can't justify it on their own and would be interested in a co-op like situation. (these can be tricky but are manageable with good agreements in place, I have a friend who is in a coop of 4 guys on a boat in Mexico).
As an aside, there is a new location of Freedom Boat Club in Sidney, which I'd consider if it was closer to me, but it is a 1+hr drive each way and their time slots are 4hrs max. Too much hassle. I'm interested in close to home, so South Cowichan based - Goldstream/Mill Bay/Cowichan Bay marinas. Possibly Maple Bay for the right boat.
I understand the sound is broadcast over radio. I’m assuming people don’t run their vehicles the whole time. Do we need to bring battery powered radios? Would backing in and sitting/laying in the bed of a pick up truck work? Thanks in advance for the tips. Enjoy the show!
