A list of puns related to "Cosmetician"
Hello! So I really want to become a Shoppers Drug Mart Cosmetician/Beauty Specialist and Iβve applied many times with no luck.
I really believe that I can do this job because I have the knowledge and experience!
Iβve worked in the Cosmetics counter on and off while I was a Cashier for 2.7 years at my previous Shoppers Drug Mart location.
At the Cosmetics counter, Iβve promoted sales of beauty products, provided info on new or existing products,
prepared displays and set up promotions as directed by the Cosmetics Manager,
provided demonstrations (i.e., fragrance demonstrations (as well as some makeup coaching)),
and I have a good knowledge of various beauty products and services available (for example, makeup application steps, what makeup products do what, which makeup brushes are for what, haircare (hair types, treatments, what various hair products do what), nail care (nail concerns, at home mani/pedi steps), body care (various bath products and what they do), skincare (application steps, what product does what), awareness and knowledge of beauty brands that Shoppers carries, and some perfume/cologne knowledge).
I remember when I worked there, the Cosmetician was in charge of the whole beauty section, not just makeup, so thatβs why I listed all those areas.
And I know these various things because I myself have a passion for beauty.
So I really donβt know what to do.
Maybe itβs because I havenβt been submitting an accompanying cover letter? What should I include in my cover letter? Should I include all that knowledge I listed above??
Is there anything I'm doing wrong??
Thanks in advance.
As the title says, Iβm starting a quirky blog all about cosmetics. The basic « nicheΒ Β» is unlike most product reviews it will actually indicate if itβs cruelty free or not.
Im planning on being as direct as possible, and explain products in simple terms. Iβll be reviewing for women, men (guest writers), maternity, and eventually children.
The quirky part? All product reviews will have a blurb from my cat. πβ€οΈ it will be this blurb that will indicate cruelty free or not. If the product is NOT cruelty free, it will offer another recommendation for a similar product that is (or as close to cruelty free as possible)
Ive already reserved the Instagram/ Wordpress handle for this- oreoapproved.
What I would love from all of you firstly is of course your feedback on this idea. Also, what are some basics I should start with just to create a following at the beginning?
I am open and appreciate all of your feedback β€οΈ
This is the third time that iv removed the hair thats in the middle between the eyebrows and this time the cosmetician waxed off the edge of my eye brows line in both so its semetric. Will it grow back the same shape?
Has anyone worked at Shoppers as a Cosmetician? What should I wear to the interview & what sort of questions might they ask?
Hey, im (23) having distance relation with older guy (54) whom i meet on growlr. We are talking every evening for about 3 months and we were about to meet for second time. We meet on Madrid for a week and i saw condom in his toilet bag. I was surprised because we declare to be exclusive and we are having sex without condoms. What is on his mind ? Why do he have things like that on his stuff ? He travels a lot for work, like in 3 months he was on portugal, spain, germany, england and italy. Is that condom a red flag ?
Edit: condom was unopened π€£
My girlfriend is currently doing a course in professional make-up application, and will soon need a proper make-up kit. The university supplies (for $250 of course) an 'alright' kit, but I figure for her birthday I'll get her one that's really good. My price range is up to about $400, but I can go to $550 if it's really worth it. I have no idea when it comes to this stuff, but I know that she has to do all sorts of different applications, as well as some hair styling. Any help is greatly appreciated :)
I'm putting this out there in the hopes I'll get better at my job in general and specifically increase sales. This is my first cosmetician job at a Vancouver pharmacy that hasn't had a cosmetician for a few years yet has had cosmetics for sale.
I've gotten the basic training on the till etc... love makeup and skin care but I feel like I might be missing out on things I should know and prefer not to learn from trial and error.
If you have any tips on things you wish you knew when you first started, I'd love to hear what they are.
I have an interview for a cosmetician position, and it will be my first job with makeup. I'm pretty nervous about it, and was wondering if anyone has any tips for the interview. To what extent am I expected to go into detail about cosmetics? What is appropriate in the position for working with people (e.g., can I open things for demos? Do I even need to know this for the interview?) In case I'm asked about wages, which places often do, is it typically minimum? (I'm in Ontario, if anyone else is.) I'm pretty unsure of how to go about it. I haven't had an interview since 2012, and haven't had a retail job since 2010...any and all advice is more than welcome and greatly appreciated!
dr eckstein sensitive supreme Ingredients: Bees Wax, Soy, Allantoin, Panthenol, Beta Glucan, Bisabol
and dr. eckstein moisture serum cant find the ingredients online..
She has according the the cosmetician dehydrated skin. She is completely against anything unnatural and against stuff that uses animals for testing -_- I would be super thankful if you guys could look at this recommendation and see if it is actually a good product or if there is better stuff she could use :) Thanks!
I'm a 21 yrs old girl student. I've been working as a cosmetician at a drugstore's beauty section for over 2 years. I'm really good at it; very comfortable with people, one of the two top sellers and know everything about the job and products. I know and have my own clientele, and the commission is great.
A week ago, I decided to try my luck and apply at a department store in the beauty section. My first interview with the manager of all the cosmetics counters went great, and she decided so send me to a second interview with the Chanel counter specifically because she felt I would fit there perfectly. She was so nice and excited for me, and said that she sees my evolve with them. I was very excited but stressed because the second interview was with not 1, but 3 women who represented Chanel. The pressure was on.
The second interview also turned our great and got a call the same day to tell me I got the job. She offered me 0.70$ cents (CAD) more than my current pay at the drugstore, and a few less hours, which fits because I'll be going to University full-time very soon.
Working at the Chanel beauty counter sounds like a dream come true to me, but I'm debating if I should take the job or not, and this is where I need advice and maybe examples of past experiences :)
Pros: -It's Chanel. Pretty sure it doesn't get better than this. (I think)
-Chanel job is closer to my house, literally a 5 minutes bus ride.
-I study marketing, and want a career in the beauty or fashion field, so i'm thinking the Chanel name on my resume might open doors? And maybe I could grow within the company, after I finish my studies.
-Better pay? 0.70$ CAD cents more still makes a difference.
-More experience
-Pretty sure this opportunity won't present itself again as often as I can get a job at a drugstore's cosmetics section, so i'm pretty lucky.
Cons: -Far from my boyfriend's place, where I always spend time and sleepover at a few times a week. 50-60 minutes bus ride (Used to it tho when I go from my house to his) but still.
-New manager (my current one is great) new territory, new products, new clientele, new coworkers! I'm worried that that will affect my sales skills, that I won't be able to become top salesperson again and might not reach the sales goals given to me.. Hence might get fired? Compared to girls who have worked for the brand for so long and might not let me reach my goals. It works with commission too so things might be competitive there.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
