A list of puns related to "Consigned"
NYC
My friend consigned a painting to a boutique gallery for a two month period, and while in possession of her work, the gallery dropped the work and damaged it. I've worked in a gallery and prepared/looked over many many consignment contracts, so I offered to take a look at the loss/damage & liability clauses, and felt like it was super clear what the agreed upon protocol was in 5.2.b.
Cosignor: artist, consignee: gallery
5.2 Risk of Loss.
(a) Consignor assumes the risk of loss, theft or damage to the Consigned Property
until the Consigned Property is delivered at the facilities of Consignee.
(b) Consignee assumes the risk of loss, theft, or damage to the Consigned Property
upon delivery thereof at its facilities. Consignee shall pay Consignor the replacement cost or
value of any Consigned Property in the event such property is lost, stolen or damaged while in its care and/or possession.
5.3 Limitation of Liability. Consignee's liability to consignor, if any arising directly out of its
obligations under the terms and conditions of this Agreement and every applicable part of it shall be
limited in aggregate to the cost of any Consigned items. Other than as provided in this Agreement,
Consignor assumes no liability due to the performance of any services or activities outlined in this
Agreement for or on behalf of Consignee.
5.2.b seems to CLEARLY state the gallery is obligated to pay her the value of the property. My friend, as a gesture of goodwill, offered two restoration quotes to them in order to avoid them paying for the full cost, and they've continuously and condescendingly refused these quotes. I told her she should then just say she would prefer, in that case, to stick to the parameters put forth in the contract and ask that he pay her for the value they agreed upon for the work in the contract (about 4k). I said, in all likelihood if it went to court they would say the most fair resolution is to follow the contractual agreement of commission had all gone to plan which was 50/50 split (2k to her, 2k to gallery). so she could tell him she was willing to do that and avoid court.
She talked it over w people (including her father briefly who was a lawyer). She had mentioned to me if he came back saying he would just pay for the full restoration she would be fine w that, but he's being such a dick she wouldn't mind if it had to go to court bc of how clear the contract is. I agree w her, the only reason i said she should
... keep reading on reddit β‘I had a second episode after four years of stability. The episode was due to sudden massive stress and an operation and basically the worst year of my life. It wasnβt the ordinary course of events. Iβm wondering if I will be allowed to taper off my medication at some point. I just want a second chance at life. Currently Iβve been on Abilify for 1.5 years.
I'm attempting to consign a number of cards with Greg Morris Cards and I'm running into problems when it comes to calculating customs charges which I've understandably been told, I will have to cover.
The total value of the cards I'm hoping to send is in the low thousands but the maximum insurance offered on the Royal Mail website doesn't come anywhere close to covering that (it stops at Β£250)
Using an import duty calculator on simplyduty.com says there will be nothing to pay, however other websites, when I list the proper value of the cards is listing the price I'd have to pay as hundreds of pounds
I would appreciate any help or guidance from someone that has done this before
Thanks
Lost my job about 4 or 5 years ago and ended up losing my vehicle, and since then I haven't made my credit worse or better. So what I would like to know is with the way the market is right now, I'm saving up and wondering if I have a chance at getting another vehicle through a dealership or If I should just save up and outright buy. I make a little under 2000 a month and live with roommates so bills are only like 500-600 max
Hi, I'm playing with electron cash an create a multi signed wallet with 3 signers(A,B,C) using the master public key of each one.
After I send a cent to the new wallet until, here all fine.
Then I created a transaction and saved to a file.
I open the unsigned transaction in wallet A, signed it and save to a file again.
I open the signed transaction in wallet B signed it and tried to submit the to the blockchain but
"La transacciΓ³n fue rechazada debido a un error en la ejecucciΓ³n del script"
translation
"The transaction was rejected due to an error in the execution of the script"
It is a bug or I'm missing something
For context - Goldin Auctions has been getting a lot of attention recently due to high profile sales and several records that have been broken. Also because they got a capital injection with a bunch of celebrities and sports related people.
As far as my personal experience go - I consigned with them back in February for their winter auction. I was very happy with the final price of the item and also the way they handled my card, they got it raw and graded it very quickly (useful from someone from overseas).
However things have gone south after the auction... they seem very disorganized, communication is very bad, I still haven't been paid. Not that I expected my money quickly but I have gotten contradictory information time after time and I am getting frustrated.
Anyone else in the same situation or someone else that wants to share their feedback?
This morning I was looking at my monthly clothing budget and saw 8 of the 9 last purchases (both my husbandβs and mine) were from posh or mercari (the ninth from lulu). Thanks to a rainy day and no plans, I finally took all of the clothes I no longer want - 7-8 big bags - to consignment. They took 45 items. The rest - still several bags - I dropped off at goodwill. The end result is that because Iβm no longer trying to sell anything, I no longer need Poshmark or mercari downloaded. So, no more used, discounted lulu thatβs sometimes great, sometimes not, but all not needed. No more need to inventory clothes or feeling of the need to sell them for a few bucks - I really hated this. No more hours on either app. Plus, I completely cleared out the closet in my kids playroom and now we can use it for their games and costumes. So many wins.
