A list of puns related to "Conrad"
Pete Elliott, US Marshal for the Cleveland office, just issued the following press release concerning the fate of Ted Conrad, a fugitive his family has been hunting for 52 years. Conrad was a young man, in 1969, who fell in love with the movie, The Thomas Crown Affair, and devised a plan to steal around 200,000 in cash from the bank where he worked in Cleveland. On his birthday, he simply walked out of the vault with the cash tucked in a brown paper bag which the security guard thought held whiskey. Conrad was never seen again.
Elliott's father was Marshal at the time and his son inherited the case. The elder Elliott passed away in 2020.
As it turns out Ted had been living in the Boston area and had changed his name to, Thomas, of course.
Here's some excellent reports on the mystery:
80's Cleveland TV news report.
Cleveland, Ohioβ On Friday July 11, 1969, Theodore John Conrad walked into his job at the Society National Bank at 127 Public Square in Cleveland as an ordinary bank teller. He walked out at the end of the day with $215,000 (equivalent to over $1.7 million in 2021) in a paper bag and vanished. Conrad, age twenty, pulled off one of the biggest bank robberies in Cleveland, Ohio history. It was not until the following Monday morning when Conrad failed to report to work, that the bank checked their vault only to find the missing money along with their missing employee. From there Conrad, and the money he stole, had a two-day head start on law enforcement.
A year before the Cleveland bank robbery, Conrad became obsessed with the 1968 Steve McQueen film βThe Thomas Crown Affair.β The movie was based on the bank robbery for sport by a millionaire businessman, and Conrad saw it more than a half dozen times. From there he bragged to his friends about how easy it would be to take money from the bank and even told them he planned to do so.
The fugitive investigation into Theodore βTedβ Conrad has perplexed many investigators over the past 50 years. Conrad has been featured on Americaβs Most Wanted and Unsolved Mysteries. Investigators chased leads across the country, including Washington D.C., Inglewood, California, western Texas, Oregon, and Honolulu, Hawaii.
The case remained cold until this past week when United States Marshals from Cleveland, Ohio travelled to Boston, Mas

Iβve been rewatching season 3. And I wondering for all the problem. Hilton give Don. Do you think the agency made any money off that account in the end?

Is ordering Civil War pension records useful? The current price is $80, what all do you get out of it?
I'm looking to find more information on my 4th great grandfather Conrad Schnapp (abt1817-1864)
I'm looking specifically for anything on his arrival into the country, birth records, a specific birth location? his parents' names, and more records on his marriage, perhaps the correct names for his wife. I'm hoping maybe the pension record will tell where in Bavaria he came from, his parents, letters or photos would be amazing.
He died in combat in 1864 during the Siege of Petersburg
He married Catharinae Deile (name ?) in 1846.
I've found some basic tiny widows pension cards, cause of death, service etc, on fold3 and ancestry.
I have a find a grave page I created for him with my research.
I've been trying to watch Conrad forehand videos on Youtube. I find nothing. Can someone link me some Conrad forehands? I'm sure it is not as bad as some say.
So what I always loved about the kingsmen franchise is despite how badass characters are they can be easily killed with a bullet. It shows that no matter how cool or how trained someone is they can be easily taken down since we are all human. In the first two films eggsy survives. Thereβs a whole mentor and pupil relationship between eggsy and Harry. So In the kingsman we meet Conrad and after watching him in the war scene. You feel relief when he survives but then BAM right in the head. I saw it coming. The kingsman movies are really good at these SIKE plot points. That being said it was absolutely gut wrenching. Even though I expected it it was still a holy shit moment. He went through all that just to die to some dumbass kid. Fuck he was a cool character. It always sucks seeing someone achieve so much just to die like that π. The directors are really good at plot twist. I wouldnβt be surprised if the majority of people who saw his death become immediately suprised. He was too similar to eggsy. Both young, full of potential when it comes to combat and both rule breakers. Plus deep down they are both good people. So it cut deep watching poor Conrad die after going through what he went through. 9/10 movie
Did James Gunn have to change the characters background at all? Because in the show their relationship is a like a older brother younger brother. The original actor is even allot older than Cena. I just find the whole situation interesting and I wonder what the creative differences were. Loved the first 3 episodes by the way.
I'm getting married in April 2022 at a wedding venue just outside of Vegas. Looking at hotels, and our budget for a 3-night stay (Thurs-Sunday) is around $1k. I have Mlife Gold, Caesars Diamond, and Hilton Diamond status if that matters at all. I've done some research on the new RW hotels and am on the fence about it. Any thoughts?
Bonus for hotels with nice craps action and low(er) minimums, although it seems it's $15 mins on strip hotels nowadays.
"When you consider what nice people talk about when they sit around the dinner table and have an opportunity to nurture their collective ego, you'll find that the most fascinating topic of conversation is the nasty people⦠How awful they are, what dreadful things they do, and, 'what is it all coming to?' And this very, very satisfactory, condemnatory conversation nurtures your ego, but people who do that don't seem to realize that they thereby depend on the nasty people in order to know that they're nice. They are, as a matter of fact, highly indebted to them." ~Alan Watts
They also all want sharia law.
Hey all,
I'm booking a trip out to NV/Utah for October 2022. I'll be going with my wife and my daughter for her 18th birthday. We plan to fly into Vegas and stay there the first night before driving out to Zion NP the next day.
I went ahead and booked a room at the Cosmo for that first night through AMEX FHR for about $350 or so to get the $200 credit. I just now realized that the Conrad has some similar rooms for $230 (before resort fees).
Any opinions on if I should book the Conrad and cancel the Cosmo?
We don't really plan to do any gambling or shows, but maybe hit a nice restaurant after we check-in. So location may or may not matter.
We do have Diamond status so not sure if this will factor-in to the decision. I know Conrad is a Hilton property but not sure if the Vegas location will have much in terms of upgrade availability. I know FHR supposedly does this anyway, but am unsure if the Diamond status will help with any of that.
Also, should I rent my car at the airport or wait until the next day before we leave?
Thanks!
