A list of puns related to "Clubhead"
I'm new to one lengths and am enjoying the experience. Still struggling like many others are specifics, but one thing that got me thinking was a Bryson video he posted recently where he does a quick gap session with his clubs.
I noticed that his swing speed increases as he goes down in club #. I was always under the impression that you just swung the same for all clubs and let the loft do the work. Am I missing something here?
Shouldn't all swings be the same (including ball placement)?
Anybody else ever have this happen? Club is less than a month old. I've hit it maybe 75 times. I took it to the range tonight to get a few shots up before a tourney this weekend and after a shot off the middle top of the club face I hear a rattling noise inside the head. Looking down at the club, there's a crack down one of the back seams. This seems defective to me. I'm not really sure how I could have caused something like this but looks like I'm going to pick up a new club tomorrow haha.
After playing maybe a dozen times in the last four years with loaner or rental clubs, decided to get serious and make a commitment to improving. First step was my own equipment, and found a set of new Tour Edge HL3 clubs for a good price. I heard the company makes decent game improvement clubs and has great customer service. Figured this would be a set to grow into over the next few years. I have played two rounds with them, plus a lesson today at the range. The first time I used them, on my third drive warming up at the range, the clubhead flew right off of the shaft of the driver about thirty yards down range! I used my 3W to drive for that round, and another round. Contacted Tour Edge, they gave me a return authorization, and mailed the shaft and clubhead back to them a few days ago. Just this morning, had some time to get a lesson at our local course (which was super helpful, btw), and on my first swing with the 3W the clubhead goes flying down range! I hadnβt chunked it into the ground during the swing - the ball went about 200 yds and the tee was untouched. This seems so bizarre - anyone have ideas as to what is going on? Going to call Tour Edge in the AM. The clubs are a standard flex menβs - driver and woods have graphite shafts. I am a newbie at golf and suspect my swing speed is fairly slow (which is why I didnβt get stiff shafts).

Hello.
So am new to golf. Bought a set of older clubs a few months ago. One of the clubs I noticed has been getting loose and the clubhead flew off the ferrule. There seems to be some residue (maybe superglue or epoxy?), and I can't screw the clubhead back on all the way, probably due to this reason. There is about a quarter cm gap left b/w the end of the ferrule and the club head.
I was thinking about removing all the leftover residue on the ferrule as well as the inner club head using a toothpick, then using superglue and re-screwing the club head back on, do you guys think this is a good idea? I live VERY far from a golf pro shop, would rather do by myself if possible.
I'm asking this only because I've searched the web endlessly and could not find a thing. Is there a formula / calculator available that averages my clubhead speed for every club in my bag if I know the clubhead speed of one club? For e.g. +/- avg. mph per club?
Iβve noticed my clubhead speed with my driver at 105-110 mph. My buddy has similar speeds, but he out drives me by 20-30 yards. Iβm hitting an M1 with the TOUR AD BBS shaft and heβs hitting an M5 with the HZRDS Smoke shaft. My question is if we are both hitting our drivers in similar spots on the face, could my driver face be dead or less effective as a result of 500+ rounds or could a new shaft help me get a few more mphβs on my clubhead speed?
this is kind of a stupid question im sure. but im a lefty and was given a GBB epic 3w, club head only. i just need to buy a shaft with a callaway tip. ive been thinking about just buying a complete 3w with the shaft i want. but since there are so many more options of RH clubs, will i have any issue just swapping the righty head for a lefty one? or do i need a specific shaft? also it seems like a complete 3w with shaft is only like 20$ more than if i were to just buy the shaft? seems like a rip off
So I was walking back from the grocery store and on the way back I saw a puddle of what looked like black ink, I wasn't sure what it was because it was so dark, but out of curiosity I went to the puddle and saw another one then I went to it and there was another one and so on, so I kept following the puddles until I eventually ended up standing behind a wall of a building in a forest written on it some weird cypher with the substance that looked like ink, here is the cypher if you are interested:

At that point I was terrified because I am completely lost in a forest, so I followed the puddles back to safety, but in the middle of following the puddles, the rest of the puddles that were there are gone, at that point my heart is pounding hard, so I try to calm down and call my friend, the moment I grab my phone I see a man in a suit with a face that has no mouth holding a club that has a face that has only a mouth, it has a bloodthirsty expression, its tongue is wrapped with what looks like saws and the club's face is made out of only muscles without a skin.
the club the man is holding says in a childish voice: "I am clubhead, who are you?" But before I get to answer him he suddenly appeared right behind me and hit me on the back of my head with his club, knocking me unconscious, I wake up tied to a chair, then I see the man bringing his club closer and closer to my arm, then when it got close enough, the club opens its mouth and puts its tongue that is wrapped with the saw-like thing inside my arm, then I feel the saws inside my arm separate from the club's tongue and start sawing inside my arm.
after it was done sawing I feel that some sort of liquid is injected inside my bloodstream that is in my arm, the whole time I was screaming so hard that I felt that I lost my voice, I couldn't make any sound.
after the man was done he somehow healed my arm and put it back together and made it look like nothing happened to my arm at all, then he untied me and showed me exactly where my home is and lead me there. It was really strange, I thought the man would kill me, but instead, he healed me and lead me to my home, after we reached my home my voice was suddenly back, then the club said: "it shifted by 9 spaces," then disappeared into thin air, I go to my bed and sleep because I was really tired. Somehow I didn't think about what happened at all and slept well. The next day I wake up
... keep reading on reddit β‘Watching the Valpar and Tiger just smoked his driver 329 on the par 5, had an iron into the green. Where the eff is this clubhead speed coming from? Heβs got more titanium in his back than in his driver.
Going through a bit of bad weather patch and canβt play so Iβm working on mechanical aspects of my swing. Iβd love to be able to see a traced line on my clubhead to illustrate the axis of my backswing/downswing as well as what Iβm losing in transition. for those of you who watch a lot of pro golf Iβm sure are familiar with the idea, they show it a lot on CBS weekend rounds, but is there anyway I can do it in an app or something? If nothing else what I plan to do is go frame by frame in iMovie or something and paint the center of the sole in each frame but if anyone has any advice Iβd love to hear it.
Editing Just to be clear, Iβm trying to do something like this β https://www.facebook.com/PGATour/videos/1130617030673099/?vh=e&extid=0
I find some around koloal cradle and two crowns. Any better spot? This include mysterious plants and wilted grass
Having a perplexing question: Using my Swingcaddie SC200 to catch all these speeds. I pretty consistently hit my 3wood (Ping G) at around 95-98mph. My driver (also a Ping G version) goes anywhere from 89-103mph. Both shafts are Ping stock Alta 55g shafts.
I believe my swing for both is around the same, so could it just be the extra weight of the driver head is what's causing this? My coach suggested trying swapping the shafts, but that didn't do anything.
FWIW, distance still goes further on Driver--so i'm not freaking out about this lol, just more so curious since the culprit could be causing me some extra yardage off the tee.
TIA
So I hit my irons fine, good power, good control. I can smash my driver for good distance, but I've got two problems that I've identified, I was able to fix one but the other is, driving, me crazy.
So the first problem I had is that I was opening my hips way too aggressively. Basically a habit from 20 years of baseball. This lead to club being way behind in my swing and the whole thing was just wide open for big pushes to the right with an accompanying slice.
I was able to solve that problem by focusing on keeping my back foot more planted as opposed to my natural swinging motion which ends up with me usually being way up on my toe with the heel completely off the ground at impact. This gets my drives somewhat in the realm of control, and I'm left with my other problem of my wrists not getting the clubface square at impact.
So what happens is my wrists are slightly cocked at the top of my backswing, but when I apply force to generate clubhead speed my wrists are severely bowed at impact, it feels like when I release them instead of snapping around and squaring the clubface, they just lag behind my forearms and the clubface remains open, and the shaft angle is much more like / (angled back toward my back foot) than | (vertical) generating a push and slice. I can *kind* of mitigate this by swinging a bit slower and trying to force my wrists into a better position, but I'm finding it very difficult to find a consistent method to do this.
Any advice?
I have a 917F2 3wood (16.5 deg) that weighs 208g (clubhead only no shaft, stock weight cartridge). Wondering if anyone on here has the TS2 3 wood and could weigh it for me so I can get an idea of which weight I should order if I get a TS2. Also, if you could include which weight you are using in the clubhead too please.
I've taken several lessons from a pro and have been playing serious golf for the past two years. I am often able to make contact and hit it pure. I expressed to him I would like to hit the ball farther now, especially on long par four and fives where I almost always come up short. He says I hit it plenty far. I didnt buy that.
So I went to a Trackman to get real data and statistics, and so far with my driver, my average clubhead speed is 81 and total distance 215 yards. I feel like this is low relative to my age, strength, flexibility, etc. i.e. I'm sure there are swing flaws. My question is that is this something that will naturally develop over time or is there something I can learn to make real progress?
The shafts say they're stiff, but it's also older technology. Would switching the shafts be worth it? Or is it an attempt in futility. My current shafts in AP2s are S300 (not stiff enough but still).
May be a dumb question, but I've never repaired my clubs before. Somehow, my 8 iron club head slid about a quarter inch down the shaft. It is still very solidly attached, but I measured the length and it's definitely a quarter inch longer than spec.
I just want to repair it without buying a new shaft. Is this possible? I've read some articles, but they all seem to deal with replacing shafts, not reattaching the same shaft.
Can I just heat the hosel, pull off the shaft, clean both shaft and inside of the hosel, add epoxy, and slide the same shaft back in? I know a vice would be ideal, but I dont have one, is this a problem? Can I leave the same ferrule on?
Thanks!
