A list of puns related to "Capsicum Chinense"
Currently, I'm looking at the 7pot evergreen as one of the largest. Does anyone know the definitive largest?
Just wondering if I could cross a Dracula pepper with a Carolina reaper or a poblano with a ghost. Crazy combos like that would be worth the pursuit!
Forgive me if this is a more basic bio question rather than an r/hotpeppers question lol. Just figured Iβd start by asking yβall in here :D

Have anyone ever did this successfully?
I had success with hot capsicum annuum varieties, never tried superhots though.
Not expecting great yields of course, but can i expect a few peppers at least? Or should i not even bother?
So my Peach ghost scorpions, black dougla and reaper plants are all sorta sickly looking. They don't seem to have any nutrient problems as the leaves are fine, but instead of growing large leaves they instead grew lots and lots of tiny leaves and are producing miniature fruit. Any ideas on what is going on with them? I've never had my plats do this before so its all very strange to me. I'm in Zone 7b if that helps.
I am about to attempt to crossbreed Capsicum annuum and Capsicum chinense cultivars. However I see that such a union only brings forth partially viable seeds (see: http://www.thechileman.org/guide_crossing_peppers.php ). If I plant enough seeds to get to the second or third generation does this partial viability fade and the descendants become highly fertile? Or would I have to specifically breed for fertility over the generations to improve it? Or will their descendants always be partially viable?
I'm currently germinating 6 different varieties making a total of 24 seeds via the paper towel method.
Out of the 24 seeds 8 have sprouted. Still waiting on the rest.
Today (29th) will be the 9th day that I've been germinating the seeds via the paper towel method.
How long do you wait before you start to germinate a new batch of seeds?
Iβm new to gardening peppers. Iβve been a pepperhead for years but never had the guts to grow them since Iβve never been a good gardener. But Iβve been doing some studying and learning as best as I can. But Iβm confused about when to start. I live in a Zone 5 area and everything Iβve read says that late March/early April is the best time to start. I plan on starting indoors under grow lights. But I keep seeing posts from people here that are starting their crops right now. Is this just because theyβre in another part of the world in a different zone? Or am I misinformed about when itβs best to start? Any help and advice would be really appreciated
