A list of puns related to "Btv"
I would love some pun base user flairs tbh. There were so many good ones from the show.
I love Buffy Summers. She's everything I love in a fictional characterβ¦ so courageous, kind, selfless, witty, intelligent, never afraid to speak up, strong and, especially, resilient β always perseveres even at her lowest moments when there's seemingly no hope. A true hero.
I finished the show last week on Sarah's birthday which made it even more special and I miss it already. I want to give it some time before I rewatch but in the meantime, here are some of my initial thoughts:
(sorry in advance if my rambles are all over the place and very surface-level)
>It had me fuming that Willow expected a thank you from Buffy for being brought back from death when she didn't even ask for it/her attitude when Giles didn't congratulate her either, or them living rent-free in her house then placing all the overdue bills in front o
... keep reading on reddit β‘I literally just realized this.
Buffy knows that Dawn's been attacked before. Buffy knows how dangerous Sunnydale is. Buffy knows Willow and Xander used to help Buffy in the demon-fighting.
But Buffy in BtVS S6 doesn't train Dawn and forbids Dawn from helping Buffy patrol. A large part of that is because Buffy wasn't actually patrolling most of that time: she was with Spike and having sex with Spike.
hi! i just finished my first btvs watch and have become obsessed (even if it ended on my least favourite season lol) and have been trying to decide what to do next. logically i know i should give angel a try but... he was one of my least favourite characters (nothing against him i just found him a bit boring) and my favourite thing about btvs was buffy which angel obviously has much less of haha
iβve also been thinking about giving the comics a try but iβve seen mixed reviews about the btvs continuation ones and the storylines sound a little (lot) out there but the boom! 2019 reboot comics look interesting but i havenβt found anyone talking about them?
iβd appreciate any advice or opinions on where to go next haha thereβs so much content (i think there are books too?? and an original movie btvs was based on???) itβs kinda overwhelming
I read an article at some point (canβt find it) that related how sex was associated with evil in the show. Whenever Buffy had sex, something bad happened (Angelus, Parker) or it was related as bad (Spike sleeping with her, destroying a building and wanting to bring her with him to the dark side). Thatβs not even without talking of the AR. Any thoughts on this?
I finished season 8 yesterday, and I'm starting with 9. I'm so thrilled about this new format, and I think it would be stupid not to make a TV adaptation, animated like the comics of course. I'm afraid they won't end up doing it, I mean people don't really speak about seasons 8-12. Yet I believe it's a good way to revitalize the fandom, plus the show deserves its canonical continuation on TV. I think of animes, the way they adapt mangas to TV, and I think these new seasons would be terrific on the small screen. How come no capable Buffy fan in the industry has ever thought of making it happen? Well, this raises questions though, for example should they make TV adaptations of canonical Angel and Spike comics? Anyway, let's avoid spoilers please, but I'd be glad if you could share your opinions on seasons 8-12 and how you compare them with the previous tv seasons.
At the 7:00 mark, James comments on SMG being burnt out
Obviously, weβll all be speculating this stuff, but just wondering how other genre shows like smallville, charmed, supernatural were able to be sustained for so long?
Btw- Iβve recently discovered James Marsters interviews- what a nice and charismatic guy!
There were some great shows also. If you can remember let me know please!
I notice that Xander reminds me of Seth Cohen from the OC. A dark-haired,unpopular nerd who is dating a popular girl(Summer/Cordelia)
Or has there always been continual interest? It seems like Iβm seeing more podcasts and youtube reactions over the past year.
For myself, Iβve started rediscovering Buffy this past year and I think itβs mostly of the quarantining, and my search to fill a void after my disappointment in Wonder Woman 1984.
(On a side note, donβt you think SMG would have killed the emotional scenes way better than Gal Gadot?)
We know Adam doesn't kill Buffy because Adam wants to use her in his plans to make 'lesser Adams'.
We know Glory doesn't kill Buffy because Ben affected Glory enough that she couldn't simply kill Buffy.
The Turok-han pre-"Chosen" (B 7.22) aren't allowed to kill either Spike or Buffy.
It seems Caleb was forbidden to kill Buffy or Spike.
The First Evil wants Spike for its plans. Spike's trigger regards his siring his mother.
"Lessons" (B 7.01) has the First Evil shown as Buffy.
The First Evil provides Spike versions of Buffy. But First Buffy is never shown in vampire face.
I used to consider that the First Evil wanted Spike to sire Buffy. But now I'm considering that maybe the First Evil ultimately was going to put itself in Buffy (and maybe also Drusilla?).
The First Evil's telling Robin Wood about Spike doesn't at all mean the First wanted Robin to dust Spike. If the First thought Spike was actually in danger, it could send a bunch of Bringers after Robin. It could have Caleb kill Robin. Etc.
I don't know. Why did the First Evil want to use Spike and what for? Why didn't the First Evil want its minions to kill Buffy or Spike?
This Monday. We will be doing something special for just our podcast listeners. You'll want to tune in to find out.. π€
I really recommend watching this amazing video by HostilePoet paralleling Buffy&Giles and Daisy&Coulson, especially to anyone who appreciates both shows/characters. Obviously heavy spoilers for both shows.
Buffy is my favorite show of all time. But it's far from perfect.
Season 4 was the last great Buffy season. Great comedy, great action scenes, great writing. Still a top notch entertaining show.
Season 5 is overrated. This season turned the show into a slow moving daytime soap opera that is not rewatchable.
Dark Willow was a horrible villain. The good guy turning bad plot was played out by this point. After Angel and Faith we didn't need to see it again.
Spike falling in love with Buffy is unacceptable. You broke your own rules because you didn't know what to do with this character. I love Spike but if you had no plan for him then don't bring him on fulltime.
Dark Giles in S7 was their attempt to try and copy Dark Wesley on Angel. Didn't work and never should have been attempted.
Hey, guys! What are the best BTVS episodes in your opinions? Iβm talking dialogue, fight choreography, character chemistry, plot, cinematography, everything! Iβd love to discuss the highlights of this wonderful series. My personal bests would include (in chronological order): S2E17 Passions S2E21/22 Becoming S3E12 Helpless S4E10 Hush S4E21 Primeval S5E5 No Place Like Home S5E7 Fool for Love S5E16 The Body S5E22 The Gift S6E7 Once More With Feeling S6E9 Smashed S7E2 Beneath You S7E7 Conversations With Dead People S7E16 Storyteller S7E22 Chosen
Hush, The Body, and Conversations With Dead People are probably the greatest Buffy episodes ever created in my eyes. Hush, being essentially a silent episode, really challenged the actors with their physical dialogue and chemistry, while also having some of the scariest villains ever. The Body was just so emotional and we saw how Joyce was basically a mother-figure to everyone in the series. Anya and Willow showed huge vulnerability in that episode. CWDP is definitely loved by me for a much different reason than the other two. I really loved how the characters were secluded to one spot for the entire episode. It shows how strong the dialogue was. Now, donβt get me wrong, these arenβt always my go-to episodes of the series, I just think theyβre the strongest. What would you say the best episodes of each season are? What are the Top 3 BTVS episodes of the series? Hope everyone has a great weekend!
