In 1961, talks once again emerged between the Republic of Guatemala and the United Kingdom concerning much of the territory of British Honduras, which is claimed by Guatemala. The Guatemalan government resumes these talks with the United Kingdom so that both parties can hopefully come to an agreement concerning this dispute.
