Hi Reddit! I’m Cyrus Patell, professor of English at New York University and of Literature and Creative Writing at NYU Abu Dhabi, and author of the forthcoming book Lucasfilm: Filmmaking, Philosophy, and the Star Wars Universe, which will be published by Bloomsbury this August.
In the past, I’ve written and taught about US literature, about the idea of cosmopolitanism, and about the Rolling Stones’ album Some Girls. I’m presently working on a book about how works like The Odyssey, The Ramayana, Hamlet, Frankenstein, Moby-Dick, and Star Wars circulate and become part of what we might call “global cultural heritage.”
Because it’s International Star Wars Day, I’d love to chat about any aspect of the Star Wars universe.
But please also feel free to ask me anything about literature and cultural studies, liberal arts education, or what it’s like to teach and study at NYU or NYU Abu Dhabi.

It seems like I can currently not buy this anymore and there’s no confirmation of a reprint, so if anyone has this book to spare I’d be happy to consider international shipping! For reference I’m in Germany.
Why is this the case? Do Indians receive lowered quality books in comparison to UK (Lol). I am genuinely curious.
Anyone knows why is there such Price difference?

How would you compare them with Routledge, say? With more traditional US university presses? Which one would you go with if you had the opportunity to publish with them, and why?
My first four books are the original books that were published however my fifth one( order of phoenix) is the scholastic one. And 6th and 7th are the new ones. I just wish i had the same books and not different ones I tried to find the originals one but couldn’t find them anywhere.
Has anyone stayed there before? What was it like?
