Today I learned about Biosphere 2. A 3.14-acre closed ecosystem, that amongst many other things has its own rainforest, ocean, and lungs. Its inventors called it Biosphere 2, Biosphere 1 being earth. A recent study of tropical trees planted there in the early 1990s reported a surprising result: They have withstood temperatures higher than any likely to be experienced by tropical forests this century."
