A list of puns related to "Biome"
Tiaga.
I'm curious to see where everyone decided to set up their main base at.
Feel free to explain why and share any pictures of your builds as well!
Since absolutely nobody asked, I'm going to share my opinion on the Biomes in A20 (RIP Burnt Forest). All of my experience in A20 has been on the 10K Pregen, so this is not tailored to Navezgane. But honestly Navezgane isnt tailored to Navezgane so who cares.
First of all, here are the Biomes ranked by lootstage:
Now, the Biomes ranked by difficulty IMO:
And finally, my personal overall ranking of Biomes, with 3 unique traits of each:
Underforests grow on the undersides of End Islands, with Undertrees that grow upside-down. This would obviously give the player a new (and probably awesome-looking) wood variety, but actually getting the stuff is a bit of a hassle for obvious reasons. If somehow you manage to get your hands on some Undersaplings, you'll find that they can only be planted upside down, and on end blocks such as end stone, so it's likely that these trees aren't leaving their home dimension any time soon.
Covering the "floors" of the Underforest is Ender Moss. This greenish-purple moss grows quickly and can cover all sides of a block. It also glows faintly.
Just like how the Nether has its own variant of Slime in the Magma Cube, the Underforest is the spawn location of the Floatslime. Getting this slime's drop, the Ender Ooze, isn't as hard as it may seem, because the item itself floats in midair, preventing it from falling into the void below. This Ooze can be used to craft Potions of Levitating, and probably some other stuff I can't think of just yet.
I've only just come up with this idea, so if you have anything to add, feel free!
So, since some biomes on Hoxxes got different versions of Exploders, it'd make sense that Bulk Detonators would also be affected somewhat. So here's a few ideas for biome-specific variants;
I was so annoyed losing my astronaut in the water biome. Thought I had to go through another biome. 15 hours well spent . Time to try other weapons
I just wanted to raise awareness of this mod, as it once again saved my seed (OK, that's a bit dramatic but it easily could've, as it did do it in the past) that I've put hundreds of hours into. Basically, it allows you to introduce newly released content into already explored parts of the world and it does it in such a wonderful, non-cheaty way. If you're firmly against mods, you can install it, use it and uninstall it, as it doesn't "taint" the seed - all that it does is what the vanilla game can do.
It was specifically made with tar pits in mind, but the author is updating it constantly (in fact, it was last updated yesterday) and only today I've noticed it also allows to reroll unlooted chests in the Mountain biome for a chance to get >!onion seeds!<, which I was really struggling with until I used this mod again. First time I used it was for tar pits and it worked wonders - the tar pits were there as if they were always there. They didn't float in the air, they weren't glitched, they didn't overlap any points of interest (like Fuling bases, stones, birch forests, etc.) that I already explored. I was honestly gobsmacked how well it executed the command.
You can very finely tune what you want to do. Or, if you don't want to get into the plethora of parameters, there are simple commands to introduce just tar pits or onion seeds.
What I'm most excited about though is the ability to regenerate all explored zones apart from ones that you specify with coordinates or that are a specific distance from your character, or in a specific biome, or at specific coordinates and distance, or... This means that you never have to worry about abandoning your mostly already explored world when new content gets introduced, because you can preserve your builds and reset everything else to a state as if the world was just generated.
It's the only mod I use as it doesn't feel like cheating. Just some peace of mind.
Applying mods to Valheim isn't exactly straightforward, but if I've done it, I'm sure you can, too. Just remember to back up your world before you use it, as it could wipe your builds if you use it improperly (that would probably only happen if you started playing around with the more complex, parameterised functions though, so you would probably be well aware of what you're doing anyway) - check that it's all there after utilising it.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Anyone who havenβt made it to Biome 5, Please donβt read further!!!
The Bladed Teleporting dudes in a group of 2 or 3 are simply impossible to beat. Iβve gone in with 200% Health and an Astronaut Figurine still could collect only one key at best. Also for some reason I cannot find a Hollowseeker (I cleared Biome 4 in my last 5 Runs yet zero Hollowseekers!) Probably the only weapon which actually gave me a chance. Especially the one with the Portal Beam.
Until Biome 5 I felt like I was making some progress and I felt like I could do it. I havenβt gotten that feeling in this Biome. Clear Biome 4, get to Biome 5, get killed by the Teleporting dude, repeat.
I even went ahead and checked some tutorial videos but Simply speaking the only advice here is to Git Gud which unfortunately Iβm not!
Biome 5 kind of makes my past struggles in the game really irrelevant. Boss Fights however tough isnβt the hardest aspect of the game. Once you figure out the pattern youβre set. But beating overwhelming enemies who do a fuck ton of damage is a fuckin bitch!
Nevertheless itβs a game that I did enjoy playing. The Haptics, Graphics and the feel of the game was excellent and the game was addictive. You felt like coming back even when itβs a lot of replaying the same thing.
To all the People who did complete it, You guys are really Good!
To the Folks who are still playing, Good Luck and hope you complete the game
Horizon Forbidden West is coming next month. Time for me to compete Horizon Zero Dawn before that.
Edit: I did it guys! Decided to give it one more try before starting with Horizon and I got the Weapon I wanted, Hollowseeker with Serrated Projectiles and Portal Beam II. I cheesed through after that. Not even kidding, did not even use my Astronaut Figurine!!!
Thanks to everyone who cheered me to go on!
