My housemate, who is the bill payer of our house, asked us all for our bill money (£45 each, but over 5 people it adds up) and he spent it. I don't know exactly on what he spent it, but I know how that he has no money and can't afford to pay our bills for the month.
I can just about afford to cover the whole bill payment, but as I'm only recently employed and have been surviving on universal credit, I'd prefer to go down other avenues before committing to that.
Does anyone have any advice? I'm going to make sure that all future bills come from my account and not his, to prevent this from happening again

Hello, in the iOS BillPay section it does not show Outstanding payments. It only shows Pending and History. Please add Outstanding to the screens.
Is it possible to go back to the previous interface? I used to be able to see at a glance what's been paid, and what's coming due. Now I have to click and click to find the info. And once I find it, I have to scroll because it doesn't fit in the little window. Thanks.
Any suggestions on what to do when online billpay check gets cashed by someone else besides the intended recipient? I opened a dispute with my bank but they have denied my claim saying no error occurred. I am still waiting for them to send me proof of the check signer.
Is there a master database for bill pay vendors that is the backend? How do I add my organization to that?
(Backstory - we're a supporting organization of a parent org, clients keep trying to pay us via bill pay, but they get the parent org name in the auto-fill list and not our name, so they keep getting wayward payments that really should be directly made to us under out name and EIN. But is there a way to do that so that all banks add us?)

My mom started a 24 month contract with three just over 3 years ago. She only told me afterwards when she showed me the phone. It was €40 a month and when she showed me the phone they recommended and gave her it was quite obvious they had given her a hunk of junk. She has always left her data turned off because it "charges her" and I told her it shouldnt run out just by being left on.
Well anyway, shes due an upgrade so this morning I rang them for her to try to upgrade it. She was never actually informed that she was due an upgrade and the phone is painfully slow. Found out shes paying 40 a month for a crap phone with just 350 minutes, 350 sms and..... 2 gigabytes of data. Yes 2. None of the selection of phones shes eligible to upgrade to for free are that great either. I've been asking around this morning and anyone of a more tech friendly age whos on a similarly priced plan has a much better deal. I know how sales work but I do think this is just taking advantage to the extreme.

I recently signed a lease. My building is part of a complex of buildings. When I enter my details in my bank’s BillPay, I need an account number which I don’t have, among other things. The only thing that could maybe be an account number is my apartment number.
The reason I want to do this is I really don’t want anyone to be able to draft money directly from my account, even if it is rent money. Has anyone else done something like this?

But please know that we have had it in our hold music, sent out e-mails, letters and updates on our website for the last 3 months that these changes will occur.
AH: Well I didn't see it! And now my mortgage is gonna be late! What are you going to do about that?
(Mind you, if they called Monday after the changes occurred, we could have walked them through and had it there on time, but of course they waited until the day before to call lol)

I currently write and mail paper checks to my landlord. On the check, I write my building and unit # on the memo line as requested by my landlord.
I've been investigating if BillPay would meet my needs. However, when browsing through the BillPay setup, I do not see anywhere to indicate to add anything to the Memo line of the check.
Am I missing something, or is this not possible?
I am selecting "Other Company" as the entity type as the check is addressed to an LLC rather than any one individual.
I had a monthly billpay setup (only one), and unfortunately, the recipient is one of those guys that likes to collect 2-3 checks and deposit them at once. So - my February payment won't go through until April when he gets the March and April Checks.
So USAA issues a check for May 1, and when he goes to cash it - it comes back "insufficient funds" (this is a $25 check and I have maintained over $5k in the account since January).
I didn't get hit with the typical insufficient funds fee.
So - naturally, because of this guy's lax nature on cashing checks, I didn't realize anything was up. I looked back to my emails in my USAA email account, and my notices/documents - nothing.
Then - today he calls - he was rightfully a little angry, but he's very understanding.
I look on USAA - and not only was the payment cancelled (unbeknownst to me), but I'm unable to set up any other billpays. The cancelled billpay was my only billpay, and I never set them to expire - this said "cancelled" not expired.
Anyone have this happen to them? Not looking for advice - I'm going to call customer service and hope they aren't so overworked they aren't able to help me. It's just strange.
I am currently a Freshman CS major. Not a single person in UMD staff warned me about differential tuition (I guess because most people see it charged later on in their undergraduate career). All of my Spring 2020 fees (except differential tuition, which I was not charged for Fall 2019 or aware existed) were posted on UMDBillPay well in advance of the January 20th deadline (back in December), I paid all of the fees and checked back on UMDBillPay to see that the account was balanced, all is well. 2 days ago I happen to check UMDBillPay again for shits and giggles and lo and behold UMD charges me for differential tuition 6 days before the due date without contacting me about it or ever officially explaining "differential tuition". If I had not accidentally checked BillPay, I would have been royally screwed. Thanks for the last moment charge with absolutely ZERO notice UMD. Go terps.
