A list of puns related to "Defray"
They're wrong most, if not all of the time. But in case the rest of us do get something wrong and some unknown side effect kills us all, at least someone will be alive to rebuild the human race (or fight off our reptilian overlords).
I have heard that Early Decision is for the rich because it signals to the college that you can pay full freight if they accept you. Is this true? Do colleges report how early decision effects financial aid offers?
And should communists/socialists bother to do the heavy lifting if the fascists get out of hand in the US?
Hello, everyone. Meet Tiny. She's a 14 month old dilute calico who my boyfriend and I adopted along with her sister Tina last year. It's been my first time raising cats from kittens, and it's been an adventure with our girls!
Just over a week ago, Tiny started showing symptoms of what appeared to be a respiratory illness. We didn't think it was anything serious at the time; we had been doing a lot of cleaning and figured some dust had been kicked up that she was allergic to. But her symptoms hung around, and got worse. She had an appetite, but was barely eating, so she lost some weight. Her breathing was wet and harsh sounding.
I got her a vet appointment for today, and my boyfriend took her while I was at work. After she was examined and x-rayed, we learned she has pleural effusion (fluid in the space around her lungs); it's not only affecting her breathing, it's also putting pressure on her esophagus and making eating difficult. The vet put her on a diuretic to try and pull some of the fluid out, but told us she needs an ultrasound to accurately diagnose why she has the fluid in her chest. While we are looking for less expensive options, the vet's office suggested an animal hospital where an ultrasound would cost around $700 (about $525 for the ultrasound, plus $100 for a 'walk in' fee).
Our cats mean a great deal to us. Tiny especially is a huge snuggle bug who loves belly rubs and starts purring like a diesel engine as soon as you lay a finger on her back. She's a sweet little soul that we want to make sure we give a fighting chance.
Any and all money raised will go for her diagnostics, treatments, medications, and any other expenses. Should we have surplus, or should we need to let her cross the rainbow bridge, I will work with our vet's office to make sure any surplus funds are donated to another pet in need.
Thank you for reading, and Tiny thanks you too!
So I was wondering how did the Banished beat the UNSC? I don't really keep up with the lore behind it and I really haven't been able to look it up because of work. If someone could tell me, like give me the sparknotes, or link somewhere I would greatly appreciate it. Also did the UNSC lose against the Created or are they still fighting? Feel free to diss me for being a troglodyte for not knowing.
With the new wave of Nvidia cards coming out, I'm interested in building a PC gaming rig around a top of the line single GPU, then using a set-and-forget service like Nice Hash to mine crypto while the system is idle.
I don't expect to make any profit on this but would be nice if the rig paid back its hardware costs over 2-3 years.
Am I crazy or is this doable?
I have heard of the MoneroOcean pool and that they have no mining fees, and it seems strange to me. If MoneroOcean is really 0% mining fees, how do they make a profit or defray maintenance costs?
This is the tale of Lydia Defray.
Who simply vanished one cold winters day.
Her whereabouts, unknown, a total mystery.
Nothing like it before in the town's long history.
Townsfolk launched a search right away.
But no sign to be seen of the young Miss Defray.
They should have looked for her underground.
In the sewerage pipes, she would have been found.
Til the thing that took her gobbled her whole.
Nothing remained, not even her soul.
Not sure what the game plan was today. The Cavs flat out refused to play balls into the box and instead sent passes wide and wasted a lot of chances.
Defending was iffy. Adjei(?) manhandled Trafford a few times. Carducci saved our butts more than once today.
Not every games a gem I'm just glad the team did enough to get the win! Bring on the Whitecaps!

... keep reading on reddit β‘My 19 y/o son is a F/T student, works P/T and lives at home. Late last year, he was on his way home from work after closing down the kitchen. He didn't check lanes properly before changing lanes and traded some paint with a car. He was appropriately cited for improper lane change. Being under 21, he had to go to court, then took a defensive driving course and his fine was reduced by half. (The DD course cost about half of the fine so the money was a wash). About two weeks ago he's on his way to choir practice (no joke!) at sunset. He was headed due west and the sun was under the sun visor and directly in his eyes. (I was driving the same direction at the same time of day nearby, so I can at least have some sympathy for how bad the glare was that day.) Anyway, he didn't see a car stopped in front of him in enough time to stop. The crash wasn't a bad one, his car had a tiny crack of plastic on the grill and other than scratches on the other car, I didn't notice any significant damage. He is responsible for paying his fines and will be paying the difference in insurance premium when the policy renews. He owns his mistakes and I believe he wasn't being reckless when he made his mistakes. Through a combination of the sun glare and probably not enough situational awareness, he had this most recent accident. I know that in the eyes of the law it doesn't matter if the cars were totaled or if there's zero damage, I included that information though for background purposes in deciding whether he should obtain legal representation. This is basically my main question:
At this point, is there anything that hiring an attorney can do for us? I'm not saying he didn't deserve the citation (but could the severe glare even be a mitigating factor?) He's already had a defensive driving course once this year. The incident has already been reported to my insurance company. He has his first appearance scheduled for early December for this citation. No other charges or criminal activity on his record. He's a good kid that probably wasn't paying close enough attention and got blinded by glare.
Edit: His citation in the 2nd incident was "Following too close".
