What if King Bayinnaung's successors were talented enough to keep the Taungoo Empire alive?

The Taungoo Empire was the largest empire in Southeast Asia. It spanned the modern day countries of Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos. It reached its peak of power in the 1580s, but fell due to King Nanda Bayin's terrible rule, which caused the Siamese under King Naresuan to rise up and declare independence.

What if King Nanda Bayin was talented enough to not have the Kingdom of Ayutthaya revolt against his rule? Would The Taungoo Empire be able to conquer Cambodia or Vietnam?

Help: AOE2DE - Bayinnaung Campaign The Old Tiger - Hard

Hey guys I need some help finishing off this scenario which is frankly very hard for me. I've tried to look at a couple of playthroughs here and there. On the one hand, if I play it as I should regularly, by the time I move on to the final temple the whole army spam is literally behind me with galleons, pikemen, etc... If I opt to head up first and finish off the "vietnamese", as soon as i move back down the spam would've already started from every direction.

I saw this guy on Youtube who finished off the "vietnamese" and continued north along the coast, while sending Bayinnaung down to meditate with the elephant and soldiers dead... when I did that the elephant and soldiers on the first temple were still there awaiting my arrival. I honestly don't know what to do at this point, there was one try where I was actually able to meditate on all 4 temples but as soon as I was done the original base to the east was already swarming with enemies including trebs, Rattan Archers, rams...you name it they had it. So any advise on the matter is well appreciated.

Is the 5th Bayinnaung mission supposed to be so much harder than every other mission in the entire game?

I have been playing through almost every campaign in Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition on Hard, and all that is left for me is to complete Bayinnaung and then do Pachacuti. And I have never played any mission as annoying as difficult as the 5th Bayinnaung mission. Not even fucking close. How do I do this mission? Am I missing something? Is there a way to speed up the annoying meditation so I don't have to lose my army because I get constantly attacked from behind from the 2nd meditation point? I did get the units from transport ships over, but I am still losing everything everywhere.

How did Taungoo under Bayinnaung conquer most of mainland Southeast Asia?

As in, what advantages allowed them to accomplish something that had never been done before (at least to such a large extent) and what did succeeding states lack to allow them to repeat this accomplishment?

Why is Bayinnaung, Burmese conqueror of South-East Asia, remembered well in Thailand?

According to Wikipedia at least, Bayinnaung is a respected figure in modern Thai historiography. Why is this the case, when later Burmese monarchs who invaded Siam are remembered far less fondly? Bayinnaung, after all, did much the same and was the most successful of them all.

[TECH] Bayinnaung-Class Cruiser

In keeping with the Royal Tenasserim Armed Forces' mandate to project the Tenasseri aegis across the Pacific and Indian Ocean Rims, the Royal Tenasserim Navy will be vastly expanding its capabilities and fleet. Key to that will be the acquisition of a series of multirole capital ships capable of serving as the backbone of carrier groups and task forces.

The Bayinnaung-Class of cruisers, then, will be drawing from the roles fulfilled by the American Ticonderoga-Class cruiser and the new Japanese Takao-Class destroyer. It will be a capable surface combatant while being able to provide air warfare capabilities to its attached units, while also coordinating anti-ballistic missile defences in a manner similar to the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defence System.

To that end, the Bayinnaung-Class will utilise the latest in Tenasseri technology, including the Garudastra APDS, the Brahmastra surface-to-air missile, and the Vijaya anti-ship missile. The Bayinnaung will also employ the Vaishnavastra/Mod 5 ETC variant of the Mk 45 5"62 naval gun, allowing it to delivery hard-hitting fire against surface and airborne targets.

ABM capabilities will be provided by the RIM-190 Brahmastra, RIM-174 Standard ERAM, and Arrow 3 missiles installed onboard in VLS cells and launch canisters. Point defences will be provided by the RIM-190, Denel 35mm DPG, Garudastra FEL APDS, and Typhoon weapons stations.

The Type 0T Combat System will be a Tenasseri modification of the Japanese Type 0, itself based off of the Aegis combat system. The integrated Yakshi ECM suite will be based off of Rafael Systems' own Digital Shark ECM system, albeit with faster response times and greater integration with shipboard systems. This combined with a tumbleholme hull, stealth shaping, and 'stealthy' systems and features will ensure the survivability of the vessel and by extension its attached task force.

The Bayinnaung-Class will see many crew functions automated, thus reducing workload and greatly decreasing its complement.

Bayinnaung part 3 campaign, tedious but easy to cheese

http://imgur.com/GCDl6E3

The intention of the campaign is to get out of the city and grab some gaia units, but until you get them, the enemy has no trigger to begin building up, hence them having no murder holes and with plenty of elephants to convert, easy campaign.

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Yodit 3. A Fallen Crown (African empires)

I had fun playing this scenario. This is the one where you have 45' to fulfill some side quests and build up your defenses in order to protect an allied castle and kill the enemy king. I failed a couple times, but once I got things right it felt a bit underwhelming. If it were harder I would like to replay it. Anyone knows if there is a harder community version of this scenario? Alternatively, community scenarios with a similar premise? And finally, is it possible to edit the campaigns without being a good modder? I have DE in steam. Thanks a lot for your answers!

These aren't dad jokes...

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
