A list of puns related to "Battler"
SMACKs marketing is so ass backwards. Why not trim the fat off the app and release the Tru Foes, Sheed, NXTs, G Lowes, etc on YouTube? They need to build their profiles anyway. Feed them to the YouTubers so they can get familiar with the fans. Guys like Surf, Roc, Shine, Danny, JC, Chilla, B Dot, Ave, Rum, Chess (the fan favorites. We know who they all are) can stay on the app. People dont mind paying for those guys. Im not paying 8 bucks for mostly Lemon Squeeze Lorenzo, Bodega Bando, Mr Buscuit battles. Trim the fat and people will buy the app. Like today he just dropped Th3 Saga vs some guy named AOC + 3 or whatever the hell; and Holmzie vs Mumba Benji. Where the fuck is JC vs Charron???? or Danny vs Tay Roc???? Drop THOSE!!!!
Everybodyβs fav got at least 1 loss that they in now way should of taken but is the black spot on their resume, if not multiple. Whatβs yalls?
For me, Nitty losing to Reed to this day irks me, on SM at that.
We can all agree itβs sick that Eazy is in the Bel-Air movie. What else have people from the scene done that we like?
Roneβs success with Barstool
Charron/Hitman/Clips on Wildin Out
Benderβs paintings
Ooops being a senator for a while (unless he actually did steal that money)
Hollohan being in The Last Of Us on TV
Just because your favorite loses some battles doesn't mean you should jump ship
Stellar versions - JC, Daylyt, Tay Roc, Rum Nitty, QP, The Saurus
Weaker versions - Serius, Yawn Yawn Da Don, Ave, B Dot, O Red, DNA
Is it a coincidence?

With 2022 starting at the first event coming this weekend, whoβs a battler who really needs to start this year off well early on?
My pick: I think Chaos needs a clear win and if he has a quick start to the year we can start believing he may have just had a sophomore slump and he can build momentum again, similar to his 2020 campaign.
Heartless Con Kg the poet Yung ill Etc.
Hi! I need your advice. I really enjoy card battler like hearthstone or gwent. What I donβt like is the pay to win aspect of these games or the grind needed if you donβt want to spend a lot of money. And I am really bad at creating decks on my own. In the last time i played Shadowverse champions on my switch and really enjoyed the (PVE) battles and the deck codes you get if you beat an opponent. What game could fit my need?
Edit: Thanks for your recommendations. I see slay the spire often. I forgot to mention that is is one of the games I couldnβt get into. Played some runs but every time I have no idea what to choose and this part really kills it for me. I will take a look on the other suggestions.
The new Danny wave is reminding me of the battle he had with Dizaster. I thought of a bar leading up to that battle that would've been perfect and would've gotten a ton of reaction. Here it is:
Since the dawn of this battle rap Empire Bashir has been known to instill fear.
But why should I fear Dizaster?
I'm a Sith Lord. The final lesson is to kill my Master! YEEAAGGGGGHHH!!!!!!
I had a hard time with the setup, but I thought the bar was pretty fire.
Come up with bars for past battles that weren't said!
For me it is hands down Sketch Menace. I especially noticed my disdain for him when he robbed Bender. From a pen game perspective, he actually has some decent shit, but my god is he the epitome of corny. People from Alberta just have the corniest accent and it sounds so lame in a rap battle, making any good line just sound whack. I find most of Western Canada is like that. Fingaz, Aspyre, Daley, Nebula, etc. They just all sound completely corny. At least Chedda Cheese actually leaned into it.
so right off that start to talk about games i do own i own marvel champions, i like.. but i guess im not so hot with card game.. cause marvel champions and arkham horror i have gripes with and it seems that the card aspect of them i dont like. ao i would like to ask.. any boss battler board game i can buy now? (no i dont mind if cards are involved in the game just that i dont want a card exclusive game like champions or AH type thing.)
Doing some battle records, trying to start keep personal record books for BR and Iβm currently going through Wills resume. Ill Will has had one of the better if not best careers off Smack that you can have, and his catalogue on Smack is also HOF worthy.
Vague breakdown of some of his key battles:
Clear Ws: 30 TTop on NOME, 30 JJ on SM, beat Prime BMagic, Ave, 30 Shine
Notable debatables/Classics: Calicoe, Brizz (L), Nitty (L), Daylyt
Clear (bad) Losses: DNA, Roc, Twork
I may do a full career record for him on here, but just off top without doing a full breakdown, do you guys think thereβs an argument that can be made for Will to be top 10 in battle rap history? I try to base my list off W/Ls and performance level as much as possible so if you disagree and your reason is based off solely βimpactβ thatβs not a bad point but not really the point of the post/question.
I've noticed that almost every top fragger in my lobbies use the new Battler pulse. I haven't tried it for myself, but I'm getting beamed by it and the flinch is throwing me off more than normal pulse rifles.
If youre not Top 5 - 10 who gives a fuck???? Or just do the Top 5 and give prizes to those 5 (5th = 1K, 4th = 2k, 3 = k, 2nd = 4k 1st = 5/10k and the belt). They arguing over 11 and 16 and 19b and all this dumb shit.
Find it real hard to get excited about anyone that does 5+ battles a year tbh, just feels completely inconsequential and you can really tell their quality drops.
I know it makes them money, but imo it was way more exciting when there was anticipation. Now a lot of the names on most cards battle constantly.
βI wonder what theyβre gonna bring to this battle?β Same thing they brought last month, month before that and the month before that.
Itβs also fucked up narratives and βstorylinesβ in battle rap- how the hell am I supposed to keep up with who did what when etc. if theyβre all battling every other week?
Only people who glorify that shit are prepubescent suburbanites who haven't been through anything. I just like well written material. Im 27 years old I dont "believe" in battlers like some folkloric figure.
I damn near threw my laptop when I heard Head Ice tell Bigg K :
Who gon stop Ice? I done stopped life in front of stoplights. π€π€π€π€
It's tough being a fan of YG groups here. The girlgroup is hated and some fans re-direct anger to YG lesser known boygroups. When YG bgs are mentioned, it's mostly to drag them down and call them flops. Almost no one talks about how popular AKMU and Winner are in Korea because we only like YG groups when we can hate on them. And let's not forget the nonexistent YG producers because Teddy is the only overworked and uninspired Black Label YG producer.
Congratulations everyone, these ghost producers and flop boygroups have finally given up the competitive sport of kpop and are embarking on being the BEST PING PONG PLAYER of THE DUNGEON or just YG Basement Level 3.
Rovin, the producer who worked with AKMU confirmed the "ping pong boom" since moving into the new YG building.
iKON Chanwoo said, at the table tennis and billiard room area, "this is the place we spend the MOST time". Yes, you heard it. Not recording studio, not dance practice. THEY ARE GOING TO OFFICE JUST TO FREAKIN' PLAY BALL.
The only time ALL iKON members appeared on his YT channel was to have a ping pong tournament.
Sechs Kies Jae Jin plays with iKON Jinhwan, Donghyuk and Winner Seungyoon. (Yes, YG has a group called Sechs Kies who is the only 1st gen group in big4.) Sechs Kies leader Eun Ji Won, even played against Korean national players with his customised professional ping pong racket. Mino was there too to battle the #1 Korean table tennis player instead of performing for #1 at inkigayo.
Here's Eun Ji Won showing off in IG story, playing with Jinhwan and iKON manager. Yes, even the managers are done with Kpop.
Eun Ji Won is taking pp lessons like Winner leader Seungyoon, who proudly proclaimed himself to be the best pp player in YG. Winner members have always wanted to be pp pros, Look how much they laughed playing pp. I'm sure they demanded for a PP room when they re-contracted.
Seungyoon is not gonna be #1 for long, 4th gen is coming. Look at how T

Also, does anyone have any good resources about learning how to shade clothing? It took me so long to just get the shading to a point that didn't drive me up a wall... and I still think there's something really off about it.
Watching some plays of this game has been eye-opening. This game's mechanics look beautiful in action. The use of Mech speed, the very neat Patrol mechanic, the armor/structure system, construction...everything in this game seems to maximize the breadth of the tactical decision space and trade-offs while minimizing the effect of top-decking. It's a dream for a wargamer looking for a compact alternative to take anywhere.
However, it shouldn't be revived as a TCG. TCGs are a difficult market to sustain, especially for small companies. Constantly expanding card pools, balancing and banning, maintaining a tournament scene; these are far too capital-heavy for a universe of games maintained by the community, for the community. Doesn't help that the TCG market has heavily entrenched giants.
As a one-box card battler, this would slot very nicely into the board-game-alternative space, but with a built-in audience. Something great to whip out with a BattleTech buddy for a brain-crunching game night when a full table isn't available for wargaming, or just to teach anyone curious about a smart game that doesn't require oodles and oodles of miniatures and bits like the Kickstarter frenzies in the board game space.
Then, it'd be easily expandable. Maybe a core set for the Succession Wars, that can easily play 2 or even up to 4 people with a single box purchase. Maybe a Clan Invasion expansion that's standalone and can do the same, or be mashed together with the core set. Various mech, faction, and period expansions. But expanded in the same style as the wargame: Optional, experience-enhancing, variety-providing. Nothing more, nothing less. And each box has a set card list. It'd also be cool if the game were singleton, avoiding copies in favor of flavor, even if stats end up being similar.
AVOID the Fantasy Flight LCG route. They built those games on the assumption that each core box and expansion would provide one player with options for tournament play at their local game store. Every single LCG has had a short life span and been canceled with a whimper. Keep the spirit of tabletop BattleTech alive: One purchase should be able to play at least 2, up to 4 people for a reasonable price between $30-$50.
And, of course, the game could stand to benefit hugely from an aesthetic overhaul. With the newest generation of BattleTech art along with more sensible card layouts that better convey information and allow that art to shine, this could really be a looker on any table
