Admiral Nelson vs. Captain Morgan; any port in a storm?
Money is tight; weekend bender is upcoming. Is it time to give a trip with the Admiral another spin? The last time left me beached and knowing it is truly a dive bar "Well drink" selection. But perhaps my fault was in the choice of chaser that time. It was... Pepsi in a 2 liter, I think. Or nothing. Probably both. Either way, it was not a pleasant voyage.

TIL the phrase "Turn a blind eye" (willfully ignore information) originated from Admiral Lord Nelson in 1801, who used his injured eye to see through his telescope during the Battle of Copenhagen when he wished to ignore his commander's signals, which resulted in their victory.

Was Vice Admiral Villeneuve correct in assuming Vice Admiral Nelson knew of his plans to rendezvous with Vice Admiral Ganteaume's fleet before the Battle of Trafalgar?
I would hope he had good reason to ignore Napoleon's orders, it seems like this move really torpedoed the English invasion by the French.
