A list of puns related to "Word order"
Calling them "naked" devalues the seriousness of the criminal offences committed.
I will be changing my language from one of the "speak" to calling it what it is. Fraudulently counterfeited shares and abuse of position to commit fraud on a grand scale.
These are criminal offences and should be talked about as such.
Using language like this gets rid of people having to research what the issue is. It states it in clear and concise english.
Let the roaches rot in prison for the destruction they've caused whilst the world was on its knees.
Fight for what's right by BUYING and HODlING.

Edit: a few people have pointed out that this is infact financial terrorism. I like this frame because it is exactly what it is, enabled by the fraudulent counterfeiting of shares by market makers.
u/rensole from now on can we do something about calling the hedgies financial terrorists or finter for short?
Edit 2: A wrinkly ape has stated not to shorten it as it weakens the message. Lets be clear; Financial Terrorists deserve gitmo.

Guys there is literally no where but up with a strong backing community! If we grow and expand on every platform and try to go viral as much as possible we can really influence the outcome of this token! It doesnโt start with anyone but us. We make this coin what it is. Lets go!! The growth so far has been insane! ๐ค๐ป
When I read Russian, I understand the way Russians speak, but when I speak it, I still put words Subject-Verb-Object like English. Do you ever feel like things in English would be easier to say in Russian word order?
When this thing rockets use your gains wisely...maybe some people donโt know how to handle finanacials, maybe they donโt have someone older and wiser to guide them . We all saw DFVs persistent DD, and intellect to get him where he got. He didnโt start off poor either he knows how to handle this kind of windfall...I assume being the son of a business man helped him. I am the daughter of a businessman and let me tell you that I learnt about the financial world through watching my father... growing up around money and being wise with it.... many of us are not financially smart, schools donโt teach us how to be financially smart....use this time to empower yourself and plan the future, I read a lot about how people will use their money on fast cars etc IMO lambos are nice but they depreciate, a lot of things you like at 20 you will outgrow by 40... good investments stay by your side throughout your life ....a good investor will buy property buy farms buy strip malls buy commodities buy metals buy hotels, buy businesses, buy antiques ....this is the way apes ๐ฆ IMO lambos are nice but there will always be better ones to come...to those baby apes holding stock at 14/16 years old , put aside money for your education, to those entrepreneurs who have a passion for a business put aside money for your business...to the boomers pay off your 20 year debts and go enjoy a cruise somewhere invest in real estate and collect income while relaxing and make your money work for you... freedom is being debt free....do yourself right this opportunity will probably not come again, I hope my words help someone somewhere Xoxox Aunty Ape ๐ฆง
Recently, I've been hearing constructions like "Tinha que ter pensado mais o engenheiro" (lit. Should've thought more the engineer) or "Batata, quer dizer" (Potato, I meant to say) instead of "O engenheiro tinha que ter pensado mais" and "Quer dizer, batata" way more often.
Things are getting moved to the end of sentences. Has this always been normal/common and I just wasn't paying attention or is this an actual new development...?
What is that one word and what does it mean, in English? Things like yes and no don't count. For example, in Bulgarian, I think that word is aiฬde, which means "come on" but can be used in a wide variety of cases (e.g. "let's go" or "alright, then").
Thereโs a few issues like Dwight coming to work and seeing traffic and stuff is different, maybe thereโs a graffiti artist painting the building so heโs camping out to catch them, Jim and Pam change his watch and phone dates while heโs sleeping
I think it'd be challenging and fun if they had to work together to unlock the wallet, it could take years to figure out. They could even make a movie about it! I just think it is so cool that the money will always be there as long as it's not moved, even after we're all gone!
Math seems to follow SVO, 1+1=2 (one and one equals two). Computer programming seems to be VOS (such as the simple code, Print "hello world"). Which do you feel is most logical and which do you use most often in Lojban and why? Also, how do you feel about prepositions vs postpositions and noun-adjectivd vs adjective--noun order in terms of which is the most logical order?
I asked one person and they said SOV mostly but sometimes SVO depending on which uses less words and is faster to communicate, but I'm curious about what more people would say.

"The oil would wash off my skin soon."
Vs
"Soon, the oil would wash off my skin. "
Vs
"The oil would soon wash off my skin."
Why might you choose one over another? Is there a grammatical rule to follow, or is it more about what you think sounds better?
In Duolingo I have been wondering about the Yiddish word order in the following types of sentences:
(0) It is a pleasure to hear you sing.
For native speakers, which word order is most natural to you, which would you accept as still correct and which would you feel is incorrect?:
Thanks for indulging my grammatical curiosity โบ๏ธ
My conlang concerns two classes of people and so far has used a nearly universal Subject-Verb-Object order. I have been considering for a while adding an expectation that upper class (Otrun) come before lower class (lev) in sentences, but I'm not sure how best to handle this since so far, word order has been the way of marking the sentence role of nouns and pronouns in my conlang.
For an example sentence take: Ve ogoshotish ore. Said by an Otre to a lev, it translates as "You will_honor me". In this sentence, the lev Pronoun (ve = you, when said by an Otre to a lev) is coming before the Otre Pronoun (ore = me/I). The pronouns don't change for the accusative case, so if I just rearrange to put the Otre first, Ore ogoshotish ve, the sentence changes meaning to "I (an Otre) will_honor you (a lev)".
The simplest answer would be to use a word roughly equivalent to English to, and change the sentence to I Ore ve ogoshotish, which would translate roughly to "To me, you will honor". This works, but I'm not sure using i will be flexible enough for all situations, so I was wondering if anyone might have a better way of accomplishing this honorific sentence word order? I prefer to not always have to mark nominative and accusative on all nouns and pronouns.
One last thing, ogoshotish is future indicative form of ogoshor. Ve ogoshotish ore, is an indicative statement, which might also be translated as "you'll make me proud", like you might say to a child. It is not a command for the lev to honor the Otre speaker. (That would be Ve ogoshu ore, which has the same word order issue).
Thanks in advance for any help.
Can't say this or that or my grandfather will hit me
Can't defend myself in an argument because "it's disrespectful" and I'll get "disciplined" for it
Can't expose them for the truth. Being ""disrespectful" again and yup "discipline"
Can't ask to have a day to myself, like going out with friends- nope "ungreatful bastard".
Now I'm drained of all my energy, tired, no friends(at least locally), and just wanted to escape this hellhole now.
I legitimately broke down when one of my friends told me "it's ok bro you can speak your mind". It just felt so wrong speaking how I wanted to speak and NOT getting hit or disciplined for it.
So the actual word I'm looking to find a synonym for is "dummies" and there are a lot of options, like fools, imbeciles, halfwits, idiots, wallies, nincompoops, simpletons, dopes etc.
Is there a website where I can quickly and easily see a list of synonyms in order of their popularity/usage on the web? Somewhat similar to Google Trends that shows the popularity of different search terms. I could manually go through and do a Google search for each term to see how many results show up, but I'm hoping to find a better tool that perhaps might even take into account popularity of terms in different regions. For example, I believe "wallies" is common in British slang but is probably unfamiliar to people in North America.
Any suggestions?
I would like to know if anyone agrees or has seen this idea before. If you have, is there a name for this? I want to research more about this. It overlaps with some ideas of solipsism and quantum immortality but thatโs not what Im looking for. If anyone could help that would be great!
Hello! I am pretty new to coding (Three years of high school coding) and am working on a school project right now. I know python but have in no way mastered it. I have gotten the program to successfully read text off the image and return each line to me in an array. The only problem is the last line on the image will be the first one in the array (See attached). I am using OpenCV and Tesseract to do this. I was wondering if there is a default way Tesseract or OpenCV reads the image that is making it do this and if there is any fix for this?
Along with that, it is also having trouble reading two words on the same line(Also see attached). Is there something I can do to fix that?
Thank you for your time and help!
I am running the newest version of OpenCV and Tesseract.
(This is my first Reddit post so I hope I did this right. My program so far has been copied from here and modified by me to work as a function and return an array instead of a text file since I am going to be doing things later with the strings.)
Edit: For some reason the images didn't get put in
Results (First part is me testing what's in each index. Second part is what the for loop did)

Hi, looking for more online exercises for an adult intermediate student who struggles with putting the location and Time in the correct place in clauses. The problem gets worse with compound sentences. I've found a few online exercises, but they aren't very comprehensive. Any suggestions?
