So I am finally playing Ghost of Tsushima, now that I have a PS5 and specifically I am going through the dlc on Iki's Island - I know this opening is confusing but bear with me a sec. In Iki's island Jin, your character, gets poisoned by a drug used by mongolian shamans and starts seeing visions haunting him with memories of his past. The interesting mechanic about this is that normal actions you would perform throughout the game (e.g. riding the horse, kill a bear, write an haiku) acts now as triggers for flashes and voices from your past actions and storylines you lived through up to that point. I found this very interesting and I would see it fitting incredibly well in the Witch Queen.
I really wish we get to see more of the mind bending abilities and trickery of Savathûn also as players, by her constantly fiddling with our mind while we are in her Throneworld. Imagine you pulling out your ghost to teleport somewhere else and she comments "Where are you fleeying to, little light? There is no safety for you here.", shadowy figures or statues moving only for one player in the party, flavortexts of weapons and armour being hijacked by her with phrases directed at us for then returning to normal the second time you examine it. Imagine Savathûn making you question your sanity with your party after killing a mob that the others couldn't see or hearing voices when no one else could. Things like these. Things that break the routines, the actions we normally do as players and that we are accostumed to. In my opinion would give an incredible immersion into the DLC. In the new trailer we saw a bit with a statue changing when exposed to light, I am so hoping they expanded that even more. I want to be confused and spooked by this dlc.

100k is all I have downpayment and this is from years of saving. But it’s so demoralizing to see that it’s not enough. Growing up as a first gen immigrant, if someone told me I’d make $125k a year, I would have been incredulous. It would have exceeded my wildest dreams. That is a huge amount of money. But in the South Bay, it barely gets me a studio.
I’m trying not to be bitter that I don’t have joint income or a cash gift from family. But I just feel sad, knowing that despite all this bootstrapped independent single lady rah rah, the best of my work and worth is worth only a studio. What’s the point. It’s a moving hamster ball.
Maybe I am bitter. Who am I kidding. I’m flat out jealous of all those with dual incomes or with gifted money from their parents and in laws. That’s 3-4x extra support. Yes I know to each their own. No I don’t blame you for taking the money and getting a leg up in the homeownership world. I’d do the same in your shoes.
It just sucks being in my shoes watching yours. Watching you all build wealth X times faster in the crazy market while I’m just trying to catch up again when I thought I was all caught up to begin with.
EDIT: thank you for all the encouragement. Moving requires a huge mental transition. As an immigrant, deciding a new place to all call home that we will find welcoming is not as simple as a van life and deciding to take off to West Virginia, Mississippi or Texas.

Everyone already knows his arm get's kind of "cursed." It seems like the cursed arm will replace the Sheikah slate, but there's one big difference in how Link uses them. In Breath of the wild, Link uses the sheikah slate with his left hand, and his sword with his right. BUT, in the breath of the wild 2 trailer, he's using his cursed arm, his right arm to use the new type of stasis.. This is basically only true if he gets put away for a decent amount of time. But she would still be able to raise the kids with help from her family while slowing squirreling away money. She could also use the time to attend some sort of online schooling that will help her get a job outside of the home. She can bide her time until she is ready for a divorce and true single motherhood or maybe she'll even meet an older Religious man with no kids of his own who is willingly to be a step father and she can carry on with the life she wants. I can't see a court in the country that would allow JD custody of those kids if she does decide to go through with a divorce in a few years.

For weeks, the watchword on Omicron in much of America has been some form of phew. A flurry of reports has encouraged a relatively rosy view of the variant, compared with some of its predecessors. All of this has allowed a deceptively reassuring narrative to take root and grow: Omicron is mild. The variant is docile, harmless, the cause of an #Omicold that’s no worse than a fleeting flu. It is so trivial, some have argued, that the world should simply “allow this mild infection to circulate,” and avoid slowing the spread. Omicron, as Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky would have you believe, is “basically nature’s vaccine.”
These dismissals of the variant as trifling—desirable, even—represent “a very dangerous attitude,” Akiko Iwasaki, an immunologist at Yale, told me. With the announcement of both the PSVR2 and the Horizon VR title, it makes me hope that Insomniac is working on a VR Spider-Man game. Think about it - the PSVR2 has in-headset vibrations. It could give you a Spider-Sense vibration before an enemy attacks. That would be so fucking sick. Also, with eye tracking, maybe they could implement a photo mode and you could use the eye tracking to move Spidey’s lenses. Maybe it could also have some sort of real functionality too, zooming in by squinting.
I really hope they release the ultimate games on the switch one day. They wouldn’t even need updated graphics or new content. I’d just be happy to play through 4u again without having to contort my hand around a tiny DS or deal with the annoying split screen

While Lucifero, even though he isn’t 100% manifested as it seems, is a force to be reckoned with. But I do hope that other high ranking devils come to the surface so it will be an all-out war, and all will have their hands full with dealing with them. The power creep has been off the charts already in this saga, so it won’t be an issue anymore and there are plenty characters left to power up.
Obviously I'm not saying this applies to all Americans. It just seems like when discussing heritage (which seems common in the US but maybe that's just my experience) a majority of Americans will claim they have Native American heritage, usually 'Cherokee' or 'Navajo' specifically.
I've been seeing a lot of traffic to the sub r/maydaystrike lately, and a lot of highly upvoted posts regarding it. I myself am far more skeptical however, as there have been plenty of "general strike" attempts that made basically no headway as of late (October 15, "Black Friday Blackout", etc.). I can understand the idea, there are over a million people on this sub, so why not use that fact to completely cripple the system? But if there's no union support and infrastructure to protect strikers, this could easily cause more harm than good. Besides, individual workplaces are the best places to organize strikes, as individual "wildcats" don't actually do much damage and will most likely be unable to deal with consequences from bosses, up to and including firing or even legal action. I'd love to think this could actually succeed, but right now I have no idea what the endgame actually would be for such a strike. Members of r/maydaystrike, if you're reading this, I have sympathy for your cause, but some questions I have that you really ought to consider:
- What would be an acceptable "endgame" for the strike? Striking against a single company is one thing, but I doubt Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, and every other CEO in the world is going to come in and suddenly decide "ok, we've had enough of the strike, we'll let Medicare for All be a thing". Who are you intending on forcing to respond, and what would their response have to be to end the strike? Unless the strike is more just to get the message out, but that would just make any backfire even worse.
- What's the plan if the strike isn't as big as you'd hoped? What if only the around 16,000 who are currently members of the sub strike and all of them are too scattered to actually have an impact? This could easily lead to hundreds or even thousands of unfair firings for people with no support network. Remember that the US has barely any support for striking workers, especially ones with this intention and of this intended scale.
- What are you doing to ensure it's entire workplaces that are striking instead of individuals? Perhaps you should have a running list of workplaces around the country where a significant number of the staff is willing to strike? You need to ensure people aren't trying to do this alone, as that could easily destroy them and the entire operation.
- What infrastructure do you have in place to ensure strikers have enough food/supplies to last the entire proposed 9 days? I did see something a
