Westerly has an NPC who is supposed to spawn and have the quest item and they NEVER spawn anymore. For whatever reason this quest used to work fine with the guy always spawning somewhere during the Alpha and Beta stages but has since the official release become a mythical figure. You have a higher chance witnessing a real life leprechaun than you do this guy showing up.
Mist Temple has a section where you cannot go on without killing all the enemies in the area (like a dirty cave maze towards the end). Well sometimes these enemies spawn in areas that are blocked off... Using a rod of destruction will kill them except you get 1 hit every 30 seconds. So hope the enemy is weak.
Stoneybrook is the dirt section of Mist Temple on crack. It's like 10 maps of randomized trash. Lots of enemies and lots of blocked off sections. You absolutely NEED a rod of destruction to move on here.... However keep in mind the enemies are typically skulls, diamond golems, etc. and if they proc as a badass you'll be applying the rod for a good 20 minutes to kill a single enemy.
This sort of thing NEEDS fixing OR you need to revert the change to rods of destruction. Of these quests Mist Temple actually awards enough Quest Points it's worth the trouble, but Westerly and Key are worth 5 a piece. For Westerly it's a super easy low leveler so it's not such an offender, but Stoneybrook requires a bit of game knowledge and the patience of a saint already that this is like kicking you while you're down.
Oh and sorry if it comes off whiney.... I literally sat for 20 minutes using a rod of destruction to kill a badass skull so I could go to the last map and get the key in Stoneybrook.... Got hit with the server is going to reset and didn't make it out before being able to turn it in, and then when I go to log back into the game no more quest item! Thank you crappy teshuvah quest for ruining my day.
