A list of puns related to "Timeline of United States inventions (before 1890)"
The Russia Mafia is part and parcel of Russian intelligence. Russia is a mafia state. That is not a metaphor. Putin is head of the Mafia. So the fact that they have deep ties to Donald Trump is deeply disturbing. Trump conducted FIVE completely private meetings and conferences with Putin, and has gone to great lengths to prevent literally anyone, even people in his administration, from learning what was discussed.
According to an ex-KGB spy...Russia has been cultivating Trump as an asset for 40 years.
Trump was first compromised by the Russians in the 80s. In 1984, the Russian Mafia began to use Trump real estate to launder money.
In 1984, David Bogatin β a convicted Russian mobster and close ally of Semion Mogilevich, a major Russian mob boss β met with Trump in Trump Tower right after it opened. Bogatin bought five condos from Trump at that meeting. Those condos were later seized by the government, which claimed they were used to launder money for the Russian mob.
When Trump Tower was built, [as David Cay Johnston reports in The Making of Donald

With this 2 century delay, could the United States still become an independent nation and become a world superpower in time for the Cold War? If so, how?
In this alternate Solar System, there are four habitable planets (known as The Four Planets): Earth (Earth One), Minerva (Earth Two), Afthonia (Earth Three) and Iota (Earth Four).
Serious interplanetary space exploration had already begun as early as 1890. The United States was the first official nation to set up serious "directly-controlled colonies" on Minerva, Afthonia and Iota. By 1911, the USA's "colonies" would go on to be subsumed within the United States, expanding the United States of America to a total of 112 states.
After several amendments of the Constitution, the American Interplanetary Union would be established in 1922 and there would now be a brand new interplanetary Constitution and four separate devolved United States on each of the four habitable planets in the Solar System: The First (the original United States we all know), The Second (Minerva's USA), The Third (Afthonia's USA) and The Fourth (Iota's USA).
Despite the fact that there was a certain degree of devolution in the AIU, there was still a Central Congress - composed of a Central House and a Central Senate - and a President and a cabinet and a central Federal Government. This central Federal Government was responsible for things like interplanetary budgets, combined interplanetary defense spending and recommended legislation which most of the USAs transposed into their own individual federal systems which were then in turn transposed into state legal systems through individual legislatures. Whilst complicated at first, the American Interplanetary Union saw success as its populations on The Four Planets grew.
However, such growth and development was not without hiccups.
For instance, large disagreements sprang up between 1975 and 1990 over such contentious issues as marijuana and cocaine legislation and open carry. Officially, for example, open carry was illegal under AIU Federal law. However, in individual states within individual USAs, some states allowed for open carry. This was also the case with marijuana and cocaine possession, although legal amounts differed and distribution was largely illegal.
Disagreements surged to an all-time high in 2020 after the Republicans secured a majority in Afthonia's United States in both the House and Senate and overwhelming support in individual states' Houses and Senates and the leading GOP candidate took the White House. The GOP President-elect, Saul C. Wilshere, a known hardliner who had already taken aggressive reactionary stance

This sub kept me sane through this process. Just keep at it. You will get there.

This particular office asked for a cover letter and resume to be sent via email to them directly. Not uncommon for some AUSA spots. It is a much more familiar process to attorneys.
