A list of puns related to "Tigris"
Alexander the Great's path of expansion, I don't have a proper pic of the path Crassus took, but this general map of location of Carrhae seems to get the point across. It seems a bit odd to point fingers at Crassus so much for his choice of path when it had actually worked for the greatest military expedition in history a few centuries back.
Yes, things had changed and all that, but it wasn't like he was crossing the Alps with giraffes or sth...
My wife is getting me a pocket cleaver for my bornt day next week, and Iβve come down to the Bullmastiff or the new Tigris.
The Bullmastiff has an awesome looking blade design, but the Tigris handle is amazing looking.
Iβm looking for any info that may help me make up my mind.
Thanx

If I recall correctly it was a somewhat well known post that gives a passionate/comical and thorough review of the thematic elements of Tigris and Euphrates. I can't seem to find it. Maybe someone here knows what I'm talking about?

I think it was a couple years ago I first found some articles about the Turkish dam projects and drew a connection that the countries they affect, Iraq and Syria, would subsequently collapse into massive civil wars. This isnt something really talked about in the West. The only reason I found about it was bc of reading about Grand Aswan Dam in Ethiopia which is a bit more notorious but neither of them are on anyone heresβ radar. However there are some minor news reports and videos which have no views and they estimate Iraq losing between 15 and 90% of water as a result of these dams. I guess more obvious problems are stuff like global warming and societal collapse meaning that water in Iraq and Syria is threatened regardless. However, I want to know more about this subject because it seems like the key to the Middle Eastern problems and yet no one here is even aware that it exists. I read today a news report from a couple years ago that Turkey even halted the Euphrates completey during its Syrian war. All of this sounds crazy deep and profound and yet its not something anyone seems to have a clear picture of. Here in the US we also have vague water problems in the dry areas of Colorado and South California which result in infamous wildfires but no one really talks about the technics of the water situation either and broadly just assumes scientists and congressmen will deal with the situation. Can any of you explain how this situation works and what it means!
Recently fell down the Knizia rabbit hole and am looking to get my hands on copies of RA and Tigris & Euphrates.
