Title. Also, although the music we have right now is very good, the majority of the songs only last for 10-20 seconds. We have duel of fates only when playing on Naboo heroes vs villains and it doesnβt even last a minute. We need the full soundtracks please.
Yes
V - EMPIRE STRIKES BACK: appears many times, most notably when the Empire is first introduced and Vader is in his Star Destroyer looking for the rebel base.
VI- RETURN OF THE JEDI: appears many times, I recall when Luke / Vader converse on Endor and again when Vader breathes his last on Death Star II.
I- THE PHANTOM MENACE: after Yoda gives Obi-Wan permission to train Anakin on Naboo, the theme plays.
II- ATTACK OF THE CLONES: I believe it just occurs twice- both pivotal moments. The first being when Anakin confesses to slaughtering the entire Tusken village to Padmè and the second when Palpatine overlooks the clone troopers marching on Coruscant.
III- REVENGE OF THE SITH: appears a few times, most notably when Vader puts his mask on for the first time with Palpatine overlooking.
VII- THE FORCE AWAKENS: After Kylo Ren talks to Vaderβs deformed mask, and vows βto finish what he startedβ the theme plays.
ROGUE ONE: subtly plays while Vader is in the Bacta tank on Mustafar and also after the Tantive IV escapes with the Death Star plans after he wipes out a dozen rebels.
VIII- THE LAST JEDI: When Kylo Ren kneels before Snoke and says βwith the potential of your bloodline, a new Vaderβ
SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY: This one surprised me when watching the film but when Han is shown fighting for the Empire for the first time the theme is played while an officer yells βyour Empire needs you!β
IX- THE RISE OF SKYWALKER: I remember it played a few times, most notably when the Final Order flesh was revealed.
Let me know if i missed anything!
So itβs cannon that the imperial march exists within Star Wars. Who wrote it? Is it the actual theme for the Empire? Do people think it sounds as evil as it does in our world?
Taken from Wikipedia:
βThe track appears early in Solo: A Star Wars Story as diegetic music in the Corellia spaceport as part of a commercial encouraging viewers to join the Imperial Navy, encouraging Han Solo to enlist as his ticket off the planet. This brief appearance marks the first and thus-far only in-universe appearance of βThe Imperial Marchβ in a theatrical film.β
What?
One of the most iconic and loved themes by John Williams is nowhere to be seen in the continuous playlist.
Please Dice add the Imperial March and the other versions of it from Ep5 & Ep6. Plus the Emperorβs theme would be a nice addition to the playlist.
I donβt get why the Imperial March isnβt used asides for 2 seconds when vader spawns in and dies. It was the centerpiece for the OT and deserves to be so on OT maps in the continuous playlist!
The Jedi/Rebels/Resistance seemingly have May the 4th as their day, I say that the Empire has their own month. Thoughts? #ImperialMarch2020
I'm not a musician and I can't read music, so kindly forgive me if I'm wrong about this. Is the "Imperial March" leitmotif from Star Wars lifted from/inspired by the end of Duke Ellington's "Black and Tan Fantasy"?
Here is Black and Tan Fantasy. (Specifically, at 3 min, 10 seconds, but listen to the whole thing afterward because it's wonderful!)
Here is the Imperial March in various forms.
Am I wrong about this? Surely other people have noticed the similarity?
