Picked this up at my local stationery store today! The company in Osaka who makes this advertises it as the first clear and functional eraser. I’m pretty impressed tbh.
Got this keychain as a free thing from a company stall. Has a foam eraser kind of thing on the end and same in a notch.

A happy spring dry erase doodle I did while at work today. This is my first saturday work day doodle in about 6 months. (Also, not stealing company time. Saturdays are spent alone for 7 hours in a building with little to do other than answer the phone and wait for my guys to come back in.)

PSA - If you are going to clean the bowl of your Mighty or Crafty with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, be really f-ing careful.
I've seen several posts and comments from people over the last year saying that the Magic Eraser works really well to clean the bowl of a Mighty or Crafty. Over the weekend I decided to give it a shot on one of my Craftys, which I had used with one too many bowls of concentrate/herb sandwiches. It worked amazingly to get my bowl sparkly clean again. Only problem is, the Magic Eraser is made from melamine foam (which is made/processed with formaldehyde and known to be dangerous to inhale).
The Magic Eraser left white dust in the bowl, which I would just blow out as I worked on it. About half way through I started getting short of breath, leading to an asthma attack. After some reading about what the Magic Eraser is made of and how damaging melamine can be to lungs, I stopped what I was doing. Getting all the dust out of my Crafty ended up being more difficult than I thought. After I thought I got all of it out, I used the Crafty on Monday and ended up getting a tiny bit of residual melamine dust deep in my lungs. It was not a pleasant experience. Going forward, no more Magic Erasers will be touching my vapes.
My daughter just came downstairs with a pencil eraser shoved deep in her nose and I knew how to get it out because of the Mother’s Kiss post on here the other day.
This is the craziest thing. My kids have never put anything up their noses. I read the post the other night about someone using the Mother’s kiss, and I filed it in my memory bank. Well lo and behold, my daughter was picking her nose with the end of her pencil and the eraser broke off. I breathed hard into her mouth 2 or 3 times and it came rocketing out. Thanks, random internet stranger!

This is one of those tiny 1” erasers that came out of a gum ball machine. We can’t figure out what the shape is.
If we didn't introduce children to erasers at school, they'd find it easier to celebrate and accept failure and better understand the permanence of their actions earlier on in life.

There was a recent post about magic erasers working great on shoes. Here’s one from the Dollar Store that includes a scrubber. I’m not sure if it’s specially formulated, but it only took seconds to clean my sneakers. One dollar.

The Eraser by Thom York might be my favorite record of all-time.
I was 26 at the time this record came out, and I'd just made a major life decision (on the back of another major life decision that taught me more about life than any other, really ever or since).
I had just gone back to university after a long break, and the record had just come out. I was already a huge Radiohead fan, and I will always attribute this record to that time. I can vividly recall blasting this album in my living quarters at the time. The song "Atoms for Peace" will always transport me to that time. It's a record of tumult in a time of change. It's a record of birth that mirrors a time of discovery. There's just something about it that will always remind me of that time of growth mixed with just how damn amazing it is!
I know this seems like a "cool, whatever" post. But in life dominated by musical influence, having revelation like this seems important. Far too often, I think, people base their opinions on the expected rather than the tangible – and this sudden understanding of this album's significant and easily accessible recollection in my life makes total sense to me. It's a natural fit for the premise of the post, and I stand behind it 100 percent.

TIL that capacitive touchscreens (the kind in smartphones) emit a small ammount of electricity and when you touch it, your finger absorbs some of the electricity. This is how your phone knows the difference between an eraser and your finger.
