Looking for superhero comic series with a similar vibe to invincible.
Iβm not necessarily looking for the gore. Iβm primarily looking for a long running superhero comic book series with a closed off story, potentially with a romantic interest. [Where it has a definitive ending]. I figure I probably wonβt find this in dc or marvel since characters continue to get used. But I really enjoyed how invincible had handled its characters.

You can gain the superpowers of any superhero by touching a comic book featuring that hero.
Or maybe even a movie, video game, or toy featuring that hero just to make things easier.
Touching a Wolverine comic book will give you retractable claws.
Touching a Spider-Man comic book will give you a spidey sense and you can shoot spiderwebs.
Touching a Mario video game will give you the ability to throw fireballs and you can jump twice as high.

One of the most annoying things about western superhero comics is how often the artist changes. There's something incredible about reading a manga series and seeing just how much the artist improves over the course of fifteen years (Bleach #1 & # 684)

What are some superhero comics that new readers don't have to know the continuity to pick up and read?
I mostly have read crime comics like Stray bullets, 100 bullets, Image, Brubaker stuff. But trying to get into superhero stuff without wondering who is who and what's going on. I've read the Punisher ennis and Aaron stuff. I heard Matt fraction hawkeye stuff is good..so just looking for recommendations. Thank you!

So why do people make so much fun of this particular scene? Sure, Chris is no comic book superhero with superhuman strength, but honestly, this is not entirely out of the realm of possibility for me.

What superhero comics are funny/delightful?
After these past couple of years, Iβve become fond of superhero stories that donβt take themselves seriously and even parody superhero conventions, series like β
- Quantum & Woody (Valiant)
- My Bad (Ahoy)
- Wrong Earth (Ahoy)
- One-Punch Man (manga)
Are there any other lighthearted superhero stories that do something similar to those? Or just realize theyβre ridiculous and lean into it, full of heart and fun?

Non superhero comics
I'm searching for comic books that aren't from DC or Marvel. In other word, that doesn't involve any superhero. Mostly based on real life. I still need suspense and thrill like any other comics, just without superheroes. Like a commenter mentioned, I'm not looking for fantasy/sci-fi kind comics, but something like crime genre that relates to real life more.

Looking for comic artists in Chennai who can illustrate superhero genre.
We live in a world where Marvel and DC dominates comic and movie universe as of superheroes. The scene of superhero comic culture originated from Indian writer or artist in India is next to non-existent, I have some ideas and scripts that I believe can work for a comic book, though most of it is not like Minnal Murali who lives in India but you get the idea, an indie comic publisher.
I know even if I produce my comic book it will be a speck among the dump of manga, comics out there but I just wanted to try this out as a passion project or like an experiment.
If any of you reading this are a comic illustrator or an artist who think they can execute this style of art and storytelling, we can meet up.
Also, you're not volunteering anything, I will pay for your work obv.

Newbie to superhero comics looking for advice
Iβm new to trying to get into superhero comics. All the cross continuity stuff comes off as one big headache, but Iβm familiar with some super heroes through other media (games, tv shows, film, mentions on YouTube, ect)
I want to bite the bullet and get into a series. Iβve seen Dazzler brought mentioned from time to time as a B-list super hero, and I want to give their comics a shot. Is there a particular run I should look to start with, or is it best to find the earliest comics and start from there?
