The Sunda flying lemur is a strange gliding mammal from the Philippines. It isn't actually a lemur and doesn't fly, although it can glide for 100 meters.
TIL that the Phillipine, or Sunda, flying lemur (Cynocephalus volans) is not a lemur at all, nor can it fly. If I saw one in the wild, though, I'd think it was a flying lemur.

With eyes that look like they're the most curious of things, this is the Sunda Colugo, also known as the Sunda Flying Lemur. Despite the name, they do not fly. Instead they glide as they leap among trees aided by a kite-shaped expanding skin called patagium. They're also not lemurs.
