A list of puns related to "Silicon dioxide"
So I've found this supplement that could potentially be huge for my specific issues, but it contains silicon dioxide which recently raised growing concerns, including here on this very sub (also this one).
The study in the first post specifically tackles gastro-intestinal problems, but do you have any insights about silicon dioxide in a sublingual/chewable supplement like a Lozenge ?
I mean I assume bypassing digestion is a plus here, but won't the nano particles still be harmful in the liver or elsewhere ?
The company behind the supplement state their silicon dioxide is derived from ***"mineral extracts and water"***, if that's of any use.
Kinda what the title says. I was wondering about what prevents our salts and sugars from caking and Googled it. Is it it just... sand? Filtered sand foam (they split the sand somehow)? Please help me wrap my head around this!
Can anyone tell me in layman's terms the difference between the silicone dioxide(mono crystalline quartz) used in frequency control and the type silicon used in a diode.
This is in reference to an ancient aliens episode on the History Channel where the claim is made that the crystal skulls made of mono crystalline quartz are the equivalent of millions of silicon computer chips. I know that a crystal used in frequency control is very different from silicon used in microchips, I just don't 100% understand why. The video is below and the relevant part starts at 1:30. Thanks

I am in the process of creating my own mix where I don't just take a simple multivitamin with non uptimal forms of supplements or with ridiculously high amounts of some vitamins. Instead I want to make a custom vitamin and mineral blend. So far I have found good sources for almost everything, but finding a good source of vitamin k1 without silicon dioxide in a vegan capsule has been a real struggle. I want to avoid silicon dioxide because it can supposedly cause some intestinal inflammation and I have read that " The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) cannot give food additive silicon dioxide the safety all clear because it may contain nano-sized particles "
Does anyone here know of a good vegan source of vitamin k1(phylloquinone, not k2) without silicon dioxide? I found a supplement with A, D and K1 vitamin, but it would be good with some alternatives.

No other health concerns.
So I work at a very well know irish food company that rhymes with jerry.
Anyways we work with a bunch of different ingredients one of them being silicone dioxide. It is very fluffy and awful to breathe in, and it sucks to get it in my eyes from the eventual build up of it in the air. It also has a "right to know disclosure" that it contains no more than 5% of some kind of sulfate. I can't remember what exactly it is, but I feel like that isn't good? Will brief(maybe 1-2 hours) daily of exposure to this without a respirator or vent hood cause major problems? If it helps the product is Evonik. I've tried looking high and low for it online, but can't find the right to know disclosure.
I also got my arms "burned" the other night from food grade yeast extract? It had a carmel color. Very sticky, super fine dust. Despite the arm covers we have to wear it still got in them, and burned my arms. I'm just wondering if I might be allergic to it, or if it was just doing....whatever yeast extract does and starts to come alive from heat+moisture?(the blender was being washed, so it was as humid as a pool in my work area) I know yeast reacts to moisturize and heat. I tired to google 'yeast extract burns' and 'food grade yeast extract burns' but all I was getting was stuff for holistic healing and it wasn't helpful. Unfortunately I do not recall the brand the yeast extract is made from.
Also might someone be able to point me in a better direction to ask these questions if this isn't a good one? I honestly don't know where to go with this question!! And mostly just want to know if my health might be compromised by working with this stuff.
I saw that prolonged exposure to silicon dioxide can cause lung disease, and it got me worried, but it also said that usually people who are working with it really closely and constantly (like the people who mine it) are usually the ones affected.
