One thing Boruto lacks is showing how powerful Jounin and Anbu are.
Naruto and gang know Kaguyaβs clan line can absorb jutsu. Delta and her abilities shouldnβt have been a shock.
As soon as Ino wax notified, this was the perfect time to let Rock Lee come and shine. Surely heβs capable of all 8 gates now, 7 at the least.
Lee intercepting and telling Delta that Naruto shouldnβt have to dirty his hands with someone like her would have been amazing. Freak strength vs freak strength but Lee with the speed and strength advantage and no jutsu that could be absorbed. Easily fast enough to absorb Deltaβs beams.
In Naruto and Naruto Ship we got to see Jounin do amazing things. Show that theyβre still absolutely insane even if theyβre not demi-god level.
Iβm really tired of everyone who isnβt Naruto, Sasuke, or Team 7 being absolutely bodied by literally just everyone. Without even a legitimate struggle like Asuma vs Hidan and Kakuzu.
Please make minor supporting characters somewhat relevant again.
Even in Dragon Ball Super, in the last arc lesser characters were getting their chance to shine and show off.

So today I was boxing with my cousin and he nearly put me to sleep, so I decided I need to train even more and im taking inspiration from my favorite character.
I will do : 20 km run, 1000 squats, 500 pushups, 100 pull ups, 1000 crunches, 2000 punches and 1000 kicks (if I cant do it i will split it to 2 days) to start it off and then I will train 6 hours a day until I get to fight him again. Wish me luck cause I need to get stronger.
Our campaign is using the free archetype rules variant so we get free common non faction archetypes/feat at every even level. I'm specifically wondering if there's anyway to simulate Rock Lee's 8 Inner Gates with Monk feats or through multi classing.
Now let me start off by saying that I dont think dying makes any story better, and people often mistake dying for mature storytelling. Its not by its own, it has to be done right, and compliment the story. And I feel like Rock Lee dying against Kiminaro specifically helps alleviate two problems and make some characters more compelling than before
I would want him to die in the Sasuke retrieval arc because that arc was supposed to be a place for the show to mature, having the symbol of youth die would sell that well.
Now the story problems I want this to fix is that Gaaras transformation from a sociopath to a 30 year old in a 15 year olds body is not well executed. I think he's a compelling character, but he doesnt feel like he really gets over his issues in shippuden, he kind of seems repressed and stunted emotionally. This is compounded by the fact that he never seems to show much remorse over his past actions, if he does its hidden well behind that poker face of his. But seeing Rock Lee die against Kiminaro due to injuries he sustained in their fight, that is a great catalyst for Gaaras development and creates natural tension between him and the leaf with could work into some interesting interactions. As is it feels like everyone is cautious of him but because Gaara never actually killed someone important everyone just kind of forgives him. Now I'm going to go all Fanfiction-y for a moment, bear with me.
Gaara is floating on his cloud after trying to kill Kiminaro, Kiminaro uses his bone forest jutsu and goes back into the fight, and ends up killing Lee instead of Gaara. This leads to Gaara getting a little panic attack and he unleashes shukaku, killing Kiminaro in a convincing way. I did this because Kiminaro dying of an illness mid killing blow felt super cheap to me. However, in his rampage Rock Lees body gets mangled up. Once he returns with his body he creates a mystery, wether or not Rock Lee died against Kiminaro or Gaara. This will be a cause of great tension especially for Gai sensei, who stops wearing bright green and looses the bowl cut because along with Lee he loses his obsession with youth and becomes a bit jaded.
Gaaras siblings see him breakdown after Lee dies, probably in the leaf village, and this helps convince them that he really has changed. Because he is showing real remorse for his actions. This
