In my opinion these shows are kinda mandatory if you wanted to know the girls more.

What is the red velvet equivalent of twice’s shows? While twice can never be beaten in goofiness and crackhead moments, I wanted to see red velvet’s side of it.

What shows do they have that would make me be able to understand the memes?

For example, in knowing broa, it was explained why jihyo was thomas, or why sana was a hamster.

i'm not entirely sure how to describe what i'm looking for, so please bear with me... i'm trying to make a mixtape of gg songs (especially releases from 2019ish-present) that have funky chord progressions/rhythms/etc, similar to red velvet's sappy? songs that don't make a damn bit of sense on the first listen, but after listening a few more times they're so addicting you can't take them off of loop?? songs that are to cute concepts what teen crush is to girl crush concepts??? songs that you listen to and you're just overwhelmed with a feeling of "ah yes, this is kpop"????

As most people already know, joy was revealed to be dating KR&B/Hip-hop artist Crush. RV were set to appear as 5 for Seulgi's live show, Seulgi.ZIP, literally the very next day and so many fans were worried that things might be awkward or solemn and fans on twitter were going crazy with the "don't even mention anything about Joy dating, at all".

So the live show starts and the members are playing a guessing game to see which members know each other the best and Joy gets this question to ask the other members:

>"What was the first thing I did when I got home yesterday?"

And immediately, before even reading the question out loud she knows she's going to get some shit from the members and lets out an awkward laugh and asks it.

Irene, without hesitation with the biggest shit eating grin on her face, answers:

Wendy lets out a quick gasp and everyone starts cackling, Yeri obvs being the loudest. And Joy all embarrassed says "Don't laugh!"

And so, the answer is wrong and the members keep guessing things like "looked at your phone", "looked at the internet", and they ask her to repeat the question while laughing, and Joy can only sit there and say "ah really, why'd they give me this question 😭" And they end it with "we kept guessing the internet, sorry lol" and Joy answers "Internet... Yes, of course I looked it up lol". Then Seulgi says everyone saw it lol.

I just love that they're able to openly joke like this about her dating news breaking, and I love the comfy, no pressure vibe that RV give off these days. Their group dynamic is honestly amazing.

Red Velvet has never been known for their physical sales. They are especially weak compared to groups like BP or Twice which both have massive loyal fans.

Idk wtf happened but since Monster eras, they’ve been selling especially well. I think since Wendy’s incident, they’ve either gained fans or fans have decided to support their physical sales even more.

This morning they reported 100k preorders for ktown4u and that’s the only site so far that has numbers. But even the girls’ solo albums have sold pretty well, especially with the lack of promos from SM.

Maybe the starving marketing YG does is coming into effect here. Fans are so starved for content, they’re going out with support. I know it definitely affected me. I don’t usually buy multiple of the same album, even if they’re different versions but I decided to buy both versions this time.

The hype for their album and song is crazy and with the teaser on MMTG, I can tell it’ll be a certified bop.

Not many groups (let alone girl groups whose fan bases tend to less loyal than boy groups) can have incidents and scandals AND a long hiatus and can have this level of hype and support. You could say that it’s because they are from SM and the big three…but let me tell you I stanned f(x) and they did not get these results when they had their 4 walls era.

I'm anxious about their new comeback. For a year we did not get any content, except a few solos. But I'm talking about group dynamic. We have not seen Irene for almost a year, and I feel like now seeing them all together would feel awkward.

Now this is not a logic train of thoughts at all, but somehow with the long hiatus I simply jsut have lost interest for them as a group, we get nothing from SM, no merch, and throughout the years we barely got any content.

And being in a fandom without any content just kind of gets boring. Listening to the same album on repeat becomes dull, and somehow I'm not anticipating this comeback because I feel like I know what it will sound like. Some good harmonies, adlibs high notes for team rocket and they'll pack it up. Maybe some rap for Irene and Yeri to fill their lines.

I guess Red Velvet were kind of always ''boring'' not music wise, but the content... we never got anything. And rewatching it it feels awkward. As if themselves did not want to do it. Now it might be because we have not seen them for so long that I simply have lost interest.

But yeah, I feel like their comeback won't be anything new or surprising, and it doesn't seem like SM cares a little bit. And tbh, I feel like the girls themselves have lost interest in being Red Velvet.

I love the song Automatic by Red Velvet but I want to know any girl group songs that sound similar
