A list of puns related to "Rallycross"
I was thinking of getting into sim racing and wanted to find a REALISTIC rallycross sim. Preferably for box or pc.
Thereβs only ever 1-2 races and itβs usually the trucks and when a rally cross race comes up only 3 people max ever join it? Am I doing something wrong to find these lobbyβs?
Hi, is RX+ available for people in the UK. If so, would people recommend it? I guess its similar too WRC+.
Thanks.
I can't find anything on social media or written media about what's going on this year. Only Enzo Ide has announced a campaign so far and we're halfway through the year. Does anyone have any hearsay of what might happening? GrΓΆnholm and Bennett/Xite has been announced for NRX 2022. I have seen some commenters speculate parts of the paddock will jump ship to Nitro now, especially since the new promoter doesn't seem any better than img. Also Portugal clashes with Extreme E and only one series features big money.
So I recently started racing in this category and I find it extremely hard to get a good start. I'm playing with automatic handbrake but that's not the problem. The thing is, all 3 cars accelerate from 0 to 30kph for about 2 seconds. After they reach around 30kph the acceleration gets better, but before that happens my opponents who are driving the same cars manage to create a large gap. I tried making the gears short but it doesn't help at all. Please help! Thank you!
I just moved here from Massachusetts, and I canβt seem to find anyone in this region to talk to about Rallycross. I went all over with NER, but neither of the regions near me for the SCCA seem to have RallyX events. Does anyone know if Iβm not looking in the right places?
Hi all, Iβm a brand new owner of a lightly used 2018 Subaru WRX STI. I couldnβt be happier with my purchasing decision. I am already feeling myself falling in love with this car!
I grew up as a farm kid. My dad and mom did road cropping, harvesting corn and soy beans to make a living. After 25 years of hard work and farming they were able to gradually purchase a portion (almost 800 acres worth) of the moderately hilly, completely clear of timber, deer shit filled, farmland in this nationβs heartland that they so tediously and lovingly tended to. I helped out a bit growing up, and am now a young professional with a mid level job in a small city nearby... and have been given permission to use 50-100 acres of the land to build an adult WRX ownerβs wet dream.
With that in mind, I was hoping to take a few of those acres out of the βfarmableβ category by building a partially packed dirt, partially gravel, 25ish foot wide, RallyCross style racetrack for personal and friendly use!
According to the great World Wide Web, if I get a decent price on gravel then around $35k can get us half a mile of 25 ft wide, 4 inch deep gravel road (county gravel roads are usually only 2-3 inches deep when they re-gravel them here). I also have a lot of super red-neck friends I grew up who have the equipment, expertise, and free time to do the excavating and dirt packing work for the dirty portion of the track... as long as I compensate them with a 30 rack of Busch, a handle of whiskey, and of course with the promise to be allowed to take their jacked up 90βs Ford F-series pickups around the newly completed fun run of a racetrack as I kick their asses in the Subie! (Contact free racing of course)
I was originally thinking of copying the layout of the circuit of the americas, silverstone, or the NΓΌrburgring (in miniature for all of them obviously). However, I figured originality would be more exciting, and was hoping to see if there are any creative minds who love racing willing to draw up any ideas?
A few stipulations...
-I want there to be at least one dirt straightaway of a quarter mile or half mile for drag racing cars, ATVβs, UTVβs and the like.
-I want an average sized hairpin turn with a proper distance/speed leading into it so that e-braking would be required and/or encouraged!
-if this is possible, I would prefer at least a 1 mile long track. But the total track canβt take up more than 100 acres including the infield, regardless of the infield still being usable
... keep reading on reddit β‘I know there are plenty of you into cars in here, and my org (Out Motorsports) is planning a rallycross almost exclusively for LGBT+/queer car enthusiasts. Join us on August 21 & 22, 2021 for the Rainbow Road Rallycross at Summit Point Motorsports Park in WV, about an hour from Washington, DC.
You can bring your daily driver, or buy a cheap beater for the weekend. In true Top Gear fashion, the budget for our 2021 Challenge is $1,500 and the theme is "orphaned makes and models" - i.e. stuff you can't buy anymore.
Bring a friend and split your car purchase cost in half, you can both register and turn the same number of laps by sharing the car.
Not looking to beat up your daily OR buy something? I'm not explicitly endorsing this, but there are a lot of rental car agencies at local airports and blue painters' tape is cheap to protect the nose from rock chips. Just saying.
Full details are listed here on our website:
https://www.outmotorsports.com/event/rallycross-2021/
And registration is open! You do not have to be a NASA member to sign up - the registration is a little confusing in that regard. Sorry.
We can have 80-90 entrants so if this appeals to you, please join us - the more the merrier! Currently you must be a registered driver to attend, thanks to COVID restrictions. No guests/spectators at this time. That may change by August but I don't want to promise anything.
Not sure what you'd drive, but definitely want to come compete? Sign up and list your daily for now, and we can always edit the registration later.
Looking for inspiration? We did this last year on a smaller scale and had a blast:

Thanks to all who came out to run rallycross last Sunday. It was a typically "interesting" RiL rallycross race with lots of action, both of the racing and crashing variety.
Congratulations to Alex Koffard on a come-back victory after trouble in the heat races, and good job to everyone to made it to the finish line.
We will consider including paid RX cars in future rallycross races, as this was a popular request from the participants on Sunday.
I noticed the FFB in this game really varies greatly across cars, when using normal current-day racers the FFB feels similar to other games, and when I use vintage cars like those by Lotus, the wheel really shakes much more intensely on high speed straights. But when I tried the rallycross events, I felt they're odd. when driving on dirt, even when it looks flat, the wheel keeps shaking left and right and it really throws my steering off.
I was wondering if this is normal?
Hello, I'm Jake; Trainee mechanic LVL2, Musician, gamer and skateboarder. course none of that matters here, what does it that I'm a fond lover of rally cars and racing and at some point would like to try myself. Currently i do not own a car, however my friend has a 2005 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 or 1.8 that he wants to convert into a base entry rally car and eventually a stage rally car with bodykit and all! Only problem, we have no idea where to start with track locations, events, and building of the vehicle. We are based in the UK and would love to have a crack at reading badly scribbled pacenotes and redlining a poor little car through the countryside with the muffler hanging on for dear life.
Basically, where should we start and how?
