I’ve got a source of carbs, protein, and water at my base but the only sustainable way to farm fats is unknown nuts and the planted raffia palm drops like two every few days it seems. Any other way to farm fats other than hunting or stockpiling brazil nuts?

I’ve existed in a liminal space for most of my life (25 F). I’m east asian, adopted by a white family. My family comes from old money, but is middle class now. We have equal parts rich and normal family friends, the spectrum being Palm Beach rich to living in our backyard in a yurt. And finally I have moved 20+ times, lived in 10+ countries, been homeschooled, gone to private school, and public school in rural and suburban areas.
All this to say I’ve encountered a lot of different people in different contexts. I’ve always used the way I dress as a way to acclimate. Something that’s always interested me is social signaling.
I’m curious about what items people have bought to signal that they are part of a certain crowd. What was the item? Was it unbranded, conspicuously branded (i.e. LV canvas bags) or inconspicuously branded (i.e. The Row)? When you wore it, did it change how people treated you? Did it ultimately help you or hinder you? And to clarify that question, was it you? Or were you being inauthentic to fit in?
I guess I’m just interested to learn what items hold the most significance in certain circles. And how that has influenced people’s style and the things they buy or save for.
I guess I’ll give some examples...
In Palm Beach, at a party, I might wear a Lilly Pulitzer dress, VC&A necklace, and raffia clutch. The dress and clutch are obvious, it’s warm, it’s tropical, it’s a designer whose style is obviously popular from walking down the street. The VC&A necklace is the social signaling item. It speaks to an insider knowledge of the designer pieces that are most popular for this crowd.
In LA, within the influencer crowd, the social signifier might be the Prada shoulder bag or the Cartier love bracelet.
Also in La, within the socially conscious slow fashion crowd, maybe it’s the Cuyana tote, or maybe it’s not wearing any brands at all, but buying clothes only from thrift stores.
