A list of puns related to "Radical cheerleading"
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Bread and roses
A /n:Okay this idea started when I noticed the similarities between the firey rose that Ruby uses as an emblem
And the Democratic socialist Rose used for the party(and the colors that Ruby uses black and red) Then a dash of anarcho syndicalism ) And my love of History
Ruby Rose was many things, Hunteress, a union organizer, card carrying iww member, a die hard syndicalist.(well Ansyn but still)
In other words, Her blood was red as roses.
born in a small house on the patch She started all out as a normal girl raised by a poly triad
Her mother Summer rose was a huntress and part-time labor organizer. She strived against the forces of capitalism. Fought hand and blade against Pinkertons and reactionaries
"Ruby, unionization is one of the best forces against Grimm
"But how ?"
"For fear against losing your home, leads Grimm directly there, then that's a problem with capitalism. For fear against losing your life and in hazardous conditions with little reward, breeds grimm infestations"
then that's also a problem with capitalism. Fear of losing everything for a simple pay raise! the only way we can fight is through unionizing for better pay and better livelihoods"
As summer had always told her "remember child, bread and roses makes a heart and home far stronger!"
her dad was a teacher, a gentle man But a Union man who picketed when no one else had the courage,(being an inspiration to the rest)
"When a teacher is paid very little then it up to the teachers union to make sure we can eat"
Her birdma was silent woman, who while her stepmother was the closest thing she had to a mother when her bio mom died.(or at least at the time she thought her mother was dead it's a long story)
She taught her how to survive in the wild and in the streets for the tribe had suffered tremendously under capitalism.
Taking in those who cared the groups of outcasts she led fought bravely against Grimm with little to no reward other than to help those in need,
"For what is strength without empathy and being good to your fellow man...
"those who do not help the weak are but cowards themselves. Especially when it's just giving those that need a loaf of bread and a good home"
And let's not forget, her favorite adventurous drunk uncle who taught her how to wield her darling sythes!
There were many things that caused young Ruby to be radicalized but this is one she remember all to vividly

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
I just had a weird thought about the AOT fandom and how it contrast with others.
The AOT fandom is curious in that AOT really is just another take on the Mecha genre, as weird as it sounds initially, but makes sense as you realize that its biggest inspirations lie on that genre despite the low-technology.
AOT uses a lot of Mecha tropes, from the classic Young Pilot that suddenly has superpowers, the First Episode Tragedy where the protagonist's homeland is destroyed by The Enemy, obstructive bureaucratic figures whose authority is challenged by the needed Good Leader that draws from heroic despictions of Shoguns and is the only military authority with workable braincells, etc. It makes all sense, as Isayama's main inpiration is Muv Luv.
Of course, I'm using this to mention one of anime's most popular factions. The Principality of Zeon and its sucessors. A faction that is also infamous for the fact that they seem to get more sympathy points in each new entry that they appear despite the fact that they continue to be unrepentant fascists in those.
Zeon's first appareance was on Mobile Suit Gundam of 1979, where Zeon's first act on-screen was to use WMDs and drop a Space Colony on Earth (its the Narration Intro). The treatment of Zeon was generally that while the average Zeon soldier and citizen is a relatively regular person, with some good people genuinely forced to fight for them, the series ends with the Federation winning the war thanks to the power of Mass Production beating Zeon's Wunderweapons (seriously, I love the ending of the first Gundam where the heroes wins thanks to overwhelming numbers) and doing a peace treaty.
Next entries of the Universal Century explore either the One Year War in other fronts (spin offs) or its aftermath (sequels). Zeon's sucessors continue to be the enemies in other series, with more atrocities in their name (namely, the destruction of Dublin, Lasha and the eventual attempted destruction of Earth's surface).
Zeon's historial on actions is nightmarish. Usage of chemical weapons on cities, nuclear strikes even after signing a anti Nuclear deal, constant apathy at causing civilian deaths in combat, terror bombing of cities and at its worst, attempted widespread destruction of Earth's ecosystem.
Yet, I've never seen anyone call for the extermination of Zeon and the genocide of its population, who are shown as flag weaving cheerleaders for their atrocities. Its not even like Gundam doesn't feature people that want

Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
I won't be doing that today!

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
There hasn't been a post all year!
It was about a weak back.
You take away their little brooms
Or would that be too forward thinking?
My company, like many corporate hellholes, has a corporate intranet, full of rah-rah cheerleading garbage. I know for a fact that the lower-level employees (who are practically outnumbered by managers) are miserable and fed up.
I was thinking of posting something about the National Labor Relations Act as a subtle way to tweak our management a little bit. Nothing so radical as a call to unionize, but just something celebrating the rights we have and giving a gentle nudge in that direction. Any suggestions on going about it?
