A list of puns related to "Public display of affection"
I am 49m. She is 46f. We have three 16nb, 14f and 14m children. My son already have complained once he does not feel comfortable when they touch each other in front of them. I laughed off.
Still very close with my wife. Went to have a dinner table together with my girlfriend. Wife's parents were also there. Already had some drinks and pounded a juicy steak. We were all having a nice chat about 2022 until I noticed my son had a sour face like he smacked some lemon. Asking buddy if he was alright and he said he was okay. Just was having trouble sleeping. Asked why and he said that they were keeping them all night up. Oldest daughter jumped in and said the same thing.
Red faced, having one too many wine glass, I called them out for disinterupting my children's peace I was fine with them dating and having sex but realized that my children were visibly uncomfortable around him. I told them it is okay if they want to spend some private time together but to take some accountability on how their actions may be perceived by others. And that our children was too young to get involved. Everyone was shocked.
My girlfriend is visibly upset with me and told me I must be jealous which I am not. The reason why I divorced with my wife was that she gambled all of our money away and later found out she cheated on me twice after we had children. My ex wife said she doesn't want me around our children anymore and told me she won't ever forgive this embarrassment.
I do care about my children. But I want to know how this whole situation appears from the other's point of view. I am willing to apologize if I went too far.
Reddit, am I asshole for calling out my ex wife or I should have stayed away?
I feel like followers of Islam seem to be way less hypocritical than Christians, I'd definitely like a Muslim friend of the opposite sex but I'm only curious about the dating aspect. Is having friends with the opposite sex only something that's only haram in very non-moderate countries?
Most Muslim women at my Australian university seem to have no friends (While on campus, anyway) and I think that's a little sad, unless that's what they're happy and most comfortable with.
Let's talk about Public Display of Affection (PDA). You can answer/skip any question you want.
Q-1: What's your opinion on PDA in Bangladesh?
Q-2: What type of PDA should be allowed in our country? (give examples)
Q-3: Should it be banned or accepted in our country?
Q-4: Do you reckon it as a "problem" or "second hand embarrassment" for other people or to the society in general?
Q-5: Do you think practice of PDA will bring a positive impact in our society?
*Note- Public displays of affection (PDA) are acts of physical intimacy in the view of others which is an acceptable display of affection varies with respect to culture and context. Physical affection has been defined as "any touch intended to arouse feelings of love in the giver and/or the recipient." I'm not talking about 'SEX' in public.. I hope you understand. *
Hypothetical example: your boyfriend and you are at the beach in casual t-shirts, shorts, and sandals, walking along the sandy shore, smiling like two kids in an ice cream shop on a hot summer day, holding hands, occasionally kissing on each otherโs cheek, then you lay out a beach towel, and spoon/cuddle during the afternoon hours. Nothing sexual, just male physical intimacy.
Then you hear, โgo to hell, f**gots!!โ from someone nearby. โIf you donโt leave right now, youโre not gonna leave in one piece!!โ
How would you respond to this hostile, homophobic behavior?
With exceptions to groping and nudity. Public displays of affection are good for people to witness. Iโm also not just talking about couples. As a recent Reddit post where a tennis player who struck a ball girl with a tennis ball showed his affection to the young girl, maybe 12, with a kiss on the cheek. It could be friends kissing on the cheek or a big long hug from someone you arenโt dating.
My last name is French in origin and the ancestors that gave it to me fled Mussolini from France to the U.S. where I still live.
Even if a couple is 15 or 16 and of age to consent they should be allowed to kiss and hug in public. Or if theyโre old, ugly, interracial, gay, doesnโt matter. Showing affection is not ugly.
Disclaimer: Fortunately the video contains no explicit sexual imagery nor reveals the identity of the victims, so it should pass Reddit's TOS muster. It's not long and can be found here should you choose to watch it.
While making out in public is probably not the wisest thing to do, I think we can all agree that some creep secretly filming you and posting it on YouTube is far worse. Not only that but I'm pretty sure it's illegal.
I'm not sure if he was caught because the video cuts off at the end but assuming he was, would it have been acceptable for one or both of the victims recorded to approach him and slap his smartphone out of his hand? Would that constitute legitimate self-defense or would that be assault (because if I were the one being filmed I'd have a really hard time containing my anger)?
Hopefully he was caught and the police were called. I guess time will tell.
Edit: the video has since been made private so it's no longer available for public viewing.
Put the personality types from most PDA to least PDA.
Gonna work on it.
My girl friend and I were debating about what PDA (public displays of affection) really consists of.
She says even hand holding in public counts as PDA. I believe only anything that would make others feel uncomfortable (kissing) counts.
Want to open it up to Reddit fam and get everyoneโs takes
How do you interpret the purpose of these posts when clearly the person posting could contact and wish the person directly rather than do a public post? Example: a boyfriend posting a picture of his girlfriend who he lives with and wishing her happy birthday on Instagram/Facebook.
like kissing on the streets/restaurants/car will i get fined or in trouble or its just not socially acceptable
not that it matters or anything, im single af, but just curious
