A list of puns related to "Peterbilt"
My company just put me in a brand new 2021 Pete. I love it. 300 miles on it. But immediately getting into it, the A/C doesn't work. It blows air, but just outside temperature air so its blowing really hot, being in the 90's. The company shop is closed until Monday, so I'm kind of out of luck at this point with it until then.
Its a brand new truck. Am I maybe doing something wrong? Have I maybe not turned something on to engage the A/C unit? I can't imagine a brand new truck off the line has a faulty air conditioner yet.
I've tried resetting the computer a few times by disconnecting the battery, but that hasn't worked yet.
So I got a hold of a 2020 peterbilt 579 and I canβt figure out how to get my sleeper ac and auto start to both work at the same time any one here know??
Edit: I have a 2020 peterbilt 579 not a 2021
Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy my first truck and a friend of mine said he'd sell me one of his. He's a diesel mechanic and honestly the best mechanic I've ever known. I will be grossing 85k pounds regularly and up to around 97k pounds occasionally. Hauling grain and hay. The terrain is low rolling hills. On highway, dirt roads, and occasionally off road in fields. So on to the truck:
2000 Peterbilt EXHD Day Cab C12 450 HP with 1.4 mil miles. New engine 700k miles ago and new head 300k miles ago. Eaton 10 speed. 3.90 gear ratio. Brand new tires all around. Full of diesel when sold. Air cleaners, exhaust, and tanks on both sides. Full gauges. Also has a wet kit. He wants $38k
The truck is red and looks really nice. Very clean. I like it. I just wonder if the 450 HP C12 will be enough power. It'll weigh less than a 15 liter so that's nice as far as weight goes. Also not a huge fan of the 10 speed but it could always be swapped for a 13 or 18 speed later. What do you think? Thanks
I need to put some auxiliary bumper lights for oversize loads, and would like to use the factory wiring for fog lights. I don't have any lights there now, just wiring. But my question is, is there a way to be able to leave the fog lights/strobe lights on while the headlights are off. The way it's wired now is they will turn off when you turn the headlights off. It's a 2019 389.
Perhaps Peterbilt model 579 for ERX has arrived.
Probably They wrapped green in a white car. Isn't it so cool?!
I'm so excited!

Just been wondering. One of my great uncles used to work at a plant building them in Tennessee and I grew up with him giving all us kids Peterbilt calendars at Christmas. Also grew up as a little kid seeing a lot of truck driving movies and tv shows.
Read lots about how nowadays everythingβs mostly governed at maybe 65mph tops?
Seems lame :(
