A list of puns related to "Online food ordering"
Well, I deleted both my ubereats and menulog accounts tonight.
It bothers me to know I can simply log back in again at any point in the next 30 days and it'll simply re-activate, feels like it makes no difference.
But I don't understand my issue with it, it's not even about not having options in the house or meal prep, I could have a delicious meal cooked to reheat or some frozen meals to reheat and still order. Even before I got ubereats, it somehow seemed easier to get dressed and drive down to the Maccas drive through than to literally put a meal in the microwave!
It's literally a few clicks of a finger.
Not sure the point of this post, I guess I feel too ashamed to admit my problem to people I know and wanted to say my current thoughts somewhere.
Like I have struggled but somewhat getting better with junk food itself, haven't bought block of chocolate for a while, don't buy big bags of chips or flavoured milk or lollies. But ordering can just go insane for me. And this idea of "don't walk down the aisle at the shops" or just "meal prep" doesn't change it for me. I just don't know what to do besides try and go cold turkey from it but that's a huge struggle and I don't feel strong.
Ok guys, gonna make it short. This happened like a year ago, but i just remembered it and wanned to share
It was around noon, was feeling hungry, so i headed to my countries version of uber eats to order some nice lunch. Found the food i liked, proceeded to checkout and noticed, that the box where you can leave some message for the restaurant had no limit for characters.
So i got an idea, to "prank" the restaurant by copypasting entire bee movie script there, so it will get printed on the receipt. Thats where the FU happened. Few mins after i sent the order, got message it was canceled .. ok no big deal, might happen, so i wanned to order the some food somewhere else, when i noticed some black-ish smoke in a distance (it wasnt that far away, but was studying and didnt wanna leave my spot in library). Well shortly after, also like 2 firetrucs passed by, heading the restaurants direction. (ps: was on ground floor, "wall" was from glass, so you could easily se on the street)
The next day i read in local newspapers, that the exact restaurant caught fire because of some cash register malfunction
TL;DR: Ordered food online and set restaurant on fire by pasting bee movie script into the order-note box
have to edit here: thank you for those shiny medals gyus/gals! made my day <3
Iβve been bleeding money because I have been craving fast food lately and I want to stop it and save more money. How can I stop craving this need for fast food ?

Hello, we are a group of university marketing students from Italy with a great passion for food and for the culinary tradition of our country.

It will only take you a few minutes and we'd appreciate you taking it a lot, as your contribution will mean a great deal for us to pass the exam (Results will only be shown in a presentation in class).

Went to order food from a spot I frequent and clicked the website button on their Google Business overview (this was on Google Chrome app for iPhone). It takes me to an in-browser app called Order Hero. The page has the restaurantβs logo, aesthetic, and menu items so at first I think it must be yet another way to order takeout in the covid era.
After picking my food, I go to check out and thereβs a form that asks for Name, Email and Phone. I enter and submit and I get a text immediately: βOrder Hero Code: ######β. I enter it in the form.
The payment form comes next. Before I enter that info, I get a random suspicious feeling and Google Order Hero. Sure enough itβs a scam.
From articles and other posts about it on here, It appears that the scam is centered around getting control of a restaurantβs Google Business profile, spoofing their site and pocketing payments unbeknownst to the restaurant.
Iβm still paranoid about entering the verification code though. I changed most of my passwords and already had two step verification on most of my accounts, which appear untouched 24 hours later but Iβm still wracking my brain thinking of why they wouldβve sent out a code and ways I couldβve made myself vulnerable that Iβm not thinking of. Any insight?

Post here others that you know them and accept BTC. Also those merchants that can deliver vitamins (C+D+Zn) that are very important as supplements on these days. Build your own self defense with a healthy body and load it with "bullets" for your anti-bodies.
-It diminishes the experience of showing someone a restaurant, you canβt see them get surprised or excited because they checked out the menu hours ago. Itβs also harder to take in menus together, just removing a lot of social interaction.
-Many online menus are formatted terribly, if you have to click βburgersβ or βsandwichesβ and canβt see the whole menu you lose the ability to walk in for a burger, be impressed by a really original sandwich, and change your mind. Why should you click on sandwiches? Youβre set on a burger.
-It removes the ability to take in the restaurant, say you come for a pizza, but see the food is pretty greasy when you arrive, and decide you want something else. Or if they have a cool daily special on a chalk board like bobs burgers.
-You have no clue when your food was completed and if itβs fresh, or just getting soggy on a shelf like every Togo order at chipotle.
EDIT: Iβm not really talking about delivery, but the delivery apps are just as bad, I doordash and can tell you NONE of your food is fresh, and the menus are still very flawed.
Hello friends :) i need short 1-2 words name for app so normal people can order food from different restaurants.. thanks
I am trying to get groceries delivered. It used to be hard to get an Amazon Fresh delivery slot in the last few weeks, but I would usually get through within a day. For the past few days, it has been unavailable for me despite refreshing many times. I heard more slots open up at midnight, but that does not seem to be the case for me. I also tried FoodKick and Instacart, but haven't seen any available slots there. Are there any workarounds? Maybe some more obscure services that are working better?
You need food, donβt want to go out, crave something you havenβt had in awhile, need some endorphins from all this panic. Support your local economy and the places you want to have existing after all this is said and done.
In fear of losing your job or diminished income! Perhaps consider signing up for a food delivery service. Outside of saving lives we should try to save our monetary lifeblood of the community.
I am currently very skeptical about ordering food online using food panda, grab, etc. I feel that's not exactly 100% isolation. If the guy preparing/packing the food is infected, the chance of transmission is high.
What do you guys feel about it? And how are you coping up with food?
Thanks
I hate the idea of tipping. While I agree it has its place in the service industry I would much rather people get paid more, although I have never met a single worker asking for their tips to be replaced with a higher wage. One thing that has really upset me over the last year are those iPad terminals where after you pay they flip it around and right there are tip amounts. I got people behind me and a cashier staring at me, watching my every move. I hate it. I usually press no tip and flip it back. Online ordering has spiked because of covid and I love it. I can simply select my items, pay, and go pick it up with as little interaction as possible. Tipping should be allowed and if someone wants to do it, great. But I don't like it shoved in my face, especially before I even have my food and no service was even performed. What exactly am I tipping for?
If you own a restaurant, delivered food, or have ordered food online, I'd like to hear your responses.
are you guys ordering from zomato /any other website online or nah ? just curious to know
