A list of puns related to "List of Star Wars television series"

##Background
Star Trek is a popular sci-fi media franchise that has operated non-consecutively since 1966. You know what Star Trek is.
Lower Decks is the most recent addition to the Trek universe's canonical on-screen adventures, but has bucked many established norms by being both an animated show and a comedy. The series draws its title from a much-loved episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation that bore the same name and briefly explored the lives of the ship's neglected junior officers. The new series, much like the live action FOX program The Orville, follows a band of not-high-achieving officers on one of the least important ships in Starfleet. The involvement of a writer from Rick & Morty has proven to be an added source of controversy.
Star Trek fans are hotly divided on the merits of this, with many falling back on a hostility to anything that isn't a faithful recreation/continuation of previously existing properties. Other recent series like Star Trek: Discovery and Picard have received similar reactions even as they continue to largely be commercial and critical successes. Still, this is by no means a universal response, as many Trek fans have enjoyed the recent properties as well as the earlier ones. It's a tension that is nowhere near being resolved, though, and so:
##Now
The first episode of Lower Decks dropped today. Critics' responses have trended from middling to positive. Redditors are another story:
> Controversy as one user dismisses comments claiming to enjoy the show as harmful propaganda
> Sarcasm is received sincerely, everything falls apart
> Patriot denounces "fake Star Treks," calls back to simpler times. "HUGE Star Trek fan here and I love Cartoons... I'd rather watch Star Trek: The Animated Series over this shit."
> "Unpopular opinion... But star trek has always been fucking stupid." Comment fulfills own prophecy, proves immensely unpopular
BONUS:, A similar scuffle erupts in /r/StarTrek:

So I've been re-watching The Clone Wars with my girlfriend for a week now as she really wanted to watch The Mandalorian ASAP and she's down with some history lessons! We're doing it in a chronological order and so far she's liking The Clone Wars! We're about to hit the Mortis Arc next and I've been wondering what kind of watching order should we do with addition of Rebels before hitting The Mandalorian? I've been thinking this kind of order, just for the cinematic experience (cuz I wanted to end it with a high note before heading to The Mandalorian, LMAO):
Or should we just watch it in chronologically order from The Clone Wars to Rebels, and then to The Mandalorian? What do you guys think would be a better watching order for new people who wanted to dive in to these three shows?

... keep reading on reddit β‘Almost 15 years ago when I was in 2nd grade the first Star Wars book I ever picked up was Heirs of the Force. Iβd only ever seen the original trilogy once but this book and then the series drew me in despite knowing basically nothing about Star Wars.
It really kickstarted my love of the EU (and Star Wars in general) and I spent awhile reading books of a similar nature such as the Galaxy of Fear series before moving on to Jedi Academy and beyond. While I didnβt complete a full read through of the post-ROTJ era until my first year of high school (Iβve now done it 4 times, minus a few books) Iβve always enjoyed and considered the YJK series to be extremely important for the character development of the future main cast. If my flair wasnβt a give away or youβve never seen me defend him this also introduced me to my favorite character, Jacen Solo.
However, I know quite a few people donβt feel the same and often tell new readers to skip it. Some of it stems from them intended for children (although they have some pretty mature plots and themes) and dislike of Kevin J Andersonβs writing. And while I can understand that, especially since most people seem to want the spark notes version of the New Republic era (Thrawn, Jedi Academy, and maybe some X-Wing novels) to jump into NJO and beyond, I was wondering what the rest of yβall thought. Why do you skip it or why do you include it?
There's an opinion I see often on /r/Starwars , so many people here wanting to see films about the "other stuff" that's happening in the Star Wars universe, the blaster characters, the space shooters. I understand it to an extent, but man I would love a heavy dose of Jedi.
I've voiced this opinion on here often, but to me, the thing that has killed me most about the Disney-Era Star Wars, despite all the bright spots, is the lack of Jedi and light sabers and force users. To me, Star Wars IS Jedi. That's what makes it different from your typical sci-fi worlds, is the space wizards fighting with laser swords. I know people think that's childish and not "Deep", but I don't care, *that* is what makes Star Wars, Star Wars.
It feels like Disney/Lucas Film just doesn't like the Jedi. All the new movies and television series rumored, none of them have to do with cool Jedi/Sith lore, whether it be years in the future or years in the fast, show us a story where you have a ton of light-saber wielding force users dooking it out!(pun intended)
I know I can't be alone in this thought, can I? Are there others out there who feel the Jedi have been extremely underrepresented in this new era. I know people will point to the prequels as an over-saturation of the Jedi, but I honestly think all the new saber designs and all the different force users were a high point of the prequels. I would love a series with a ton of Jedi/Sith like the prequels, except with the CGI/acting/directing of the new story group. There is so much potential for greatness there. Return the Jedi!
