I gathered some data and organized a list of the 24 species (land/air/sea) that are the most requested by the community. Do you like what made it to the top?

I will preface this by saying I know more attractions, bug fixes, and QoL like lagoon scenery etc are more on people’s mind right now. Definitely very valid. This is just something fun I thought I’d do for everyone with counts sourced from Frontier’s forums and here on Reddit [probably a lot I missed, the internet is a big place] to show what species everyone is desiring for the future. These are not my personal picks. I counted for 24 species total since that is how many paid DLC creatures we got in the original, so it seemed like a good baseline to follow. I separated this into the top most requested 10 dinosaurs, 7 pterosaurs, and 7 aquatic reptiles, since I’d assume the land portion of our parks will continue to get the most attention. I have not included any species with a confirmed appearance in Jurassic World: Dominion. I have also not performed counts for fish (ex: Megalodon), mammals (ex: Basilosaurus/Smilodon), or any other non-dinosaurs (ex: Dimetrodon) since Frontier/Universal have currently remained in the stance of not including these animals in the game.

So without further yada yada here are our most requested species as of today:

  • Dinosaurs
  1. Therizinosaurus

  2. Protoceratops

  3. Plateosaurus

  4. Concavenator

  5. Deinocheirus

  6. Shantungosaurus

  7. Argentinosaurus

  8. Australovenator

  9. Saltasaurus

  10. Utahraptor

  • Marine
  1. Archelon

  2. Shonisaurus

  3. Pliosaurus (Probably has many more requests, but I didn’t perform any counts for the term Predator X)

  4. Kronosaurus

  5. Metriorhynchus

  6. Platecarpus

  7. Shastasaurus

  • Air
  1. Rhamphorhynchus

  2. Pterodaustro

  3. Nyctosaurus

  4. Tupandactylus

  5. Dsungaripterus

  6. Thalassodromeus

  7. Hatzegopteryx

My thoughts:

I like most of these, and though there is some obvious redundancy I appreciate that the community generally wants more diversity for our dino roster. The trend for the dinos seems to be everyone wants the biggest of everything. I’ve seen a lot of tier lists pop up and I’m really surprised only 3 carnivores broke through to the top ten most requested since those usually are up on top. The air/sea picks are what anyone would expect I think, people are checking off all the A-listers for the most part. Though Pterodaustro being so heavily requested really surprised me!

I feel like since JWE3 is very unlikely given that JW:D closes out the second trilogy, they

9.2 Zone explains something i've wondered about with the distribution of species in the WoW Universe

Ever think it odd that Draenor and Argus have similar critters and plants as Azeroth? In particular, wolves seem to be native to two different worlds.

The logical explanation is that the reuse of assets is convenient and economic, and that something too bizarre wouldn't fit into WoW's aesthetic.

However, now we have something of an explanation in the form of the forge of the Eternals and their 'progenitor' animals which are clearly meant to be a blueprint for many extant species across the cosmos.

I just thought that was kinda neat.

23 Dec 2021: What does the distribution in specie of JD shares by Tencent mean?

My youtube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAPWOEQKCpCWmzKkdo7v-iw

Alibaba and Tencent are undoubtedly the best known Chinese big tech companies that the world has known. If you are a financial investor of Chinese equities, it would not be that surprising to you when you hear that tencent had on 22 December 2021 announced the distribution of JD shares that it owns to its shareholders.

But what does it truly mean? Considering that tencent's share price has declined from 775 HKD to around 443 HKD now, representing at least 40% decline from price peak, this move has the signs of helping to reduce further share price downward pressure.

But this is only one level of thinking.... If you read my article on the second level of thinking, we would have to think further.. Is this step a conjunction of the anti-monopoly moves against the big tech and that tencent has read the political intention of central authorities so clearly that it has decided to pledge its loyalty first by shedding really unnecessary investee companies?

https://preview.redd.it/ywqgaihg17781.png?width=915&format=png&auto=webp&s=44438259371bc33bc6df99c9002b0f56b69cc24d

What I want to say is I do not think the regulation by chinese tech companies is nearing an end though I have a prediction that the intensity of the chinese tech data and regulation will be much less going into 2022.

As always, this should not be construed as any investment or trading advice.
