Hello Kellebrities*
In the newest installment of this continuous series, we're gonna be ranking the work of the singer, songwriter, karaoke master, star of From Justin to Kelly and arguably the most underappreciated legend from this century: the original American Idol herself, The Marvelous Mrs. Kelly Clarkson.
If you wanna participate you just have to rate from 0-10 the Kelly tracks included in the Google Form featured below that I created for the specific purpose of this ranking.
This list includes all of her songs officially released from her studio albums (including bonus tracks) and some other loose releases here and there, including collaborations, covers and soundtrack appearances:
This ranking would not include any leaked song, as usual, or standard remix without a degree of re-recording, alongside tracks performed on her American Idol days, songs without an official release (ex. stuff of From Justin To Kelly, The Cry Inside)... but it would include covers she had release for public consumption like her adjacent release The Smoakstack Sessions Vol. 2 from 2012 and the Kelly Clarkson Live releases from 2016.
The ranking will be open to vote until midnight EST of June 26th (i'm gonna be mentioning the post in relevant comments so don't worry), or ten days from the publication of this post so you'll have enough time. doing the ranking requires you to sign up with your Google account (don't worry, both your email and your username will be safe)... and it algo gives you the chance to change your scores anytime you want, just in case.
Let's see which deep cut is the worst.

I love Kelly Clarkson so much as a person she seems like a very kind woman with a big church girl voice. I noticed that she is receiving a lot of praise and is experiencing rejuvenation of her already illustrious career. I just need her to drop a solid pop album or a really good Aretha franklin esque soul/blues album. I am glad she managed to remain humble and gain success without any flashy antics or gimmicks. She does not need any trendy fashion designer or twitter stans behind her. Her voice carriers the legacy of Aretha, Shania ,CΓ©line and Mariah. I hope her current glimmer of spotlight stays for a long time. I used to think she deserves success and praise like Adele and I think she can get there very soon!!
Itβs a beautiful song if anyone needs a song to validate how youβre left feeling because of narcissistic abuse.
Iβve never posted anything like this because people seem to have very strong opinions on judges, but just from comments Iβve read I think a lot of you are on the same page as me.
Itβs ok if you donβt agree, and Iβll say I loved Kelly when she broke out as an artist (Iβm 29, so I was prime age for the Behind These Hazel Eyeβs album) but I havenβt followed her as much into my adulthood. But dang- every time she sings Iβm just floored. She has a seriously polished talent. I think it shows that she herself started young, on a talent show, and had to learn to be versatile with her voice at an early age. I also think the pattern of her frequently winning with younger people truly does relate to her knowledge of βnavigatingβ a talent show. I think she very directly relates in a way that gives her advantage with her coaching.
Either way, I came here to say that Kelly Clarkson is a magnificent talent and sheβs honestly one of my favorite coaches. Not only is she talented but I think she makes a great role model for young girls. Sheβs stunning, and projects really healthy body positivity. She can be annoying/awkward but in way I find weirdly refreshing because sheβs just being herself. I love her on the show and the show has made me love her more as an artist and a person.
That is all. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
I originally started watching The Voice purely for Ari because Ari is my all time favorite artist/celeb crush and I love anything and everything related to Ari.
HOWEVER, by watching Ari on The Voice, I got introduced to the wonderful and lovely Kelly Clarkson. She has been a great coach on the show so far and I can tell based on the massive improvement on the now powerhouse vocalist that is Hailey Mia. While I love Ari, I am really rooting for Hailey to win on Team Kelly.
My respect for Kelly didnβt stop there. It got me to watch the judges on Jimmy Fallonβs new show do karaoke. While I loved Ariβs vocals as always, when I heard Kelly sing Whitney Houstonβ¦ holy fucking shit. I knew Kelly was a good vocalist but I was completely blown away by her performance as very few people can belt it out like that.
It got me to watch Kellyβs Christmas Special and hearing her sing covers as well as songs she wrote was heavenly.
I am so looking forward to seeing both Kelly & Ari on The Voice next week! Had I never watched The Voice, I probably would not have cared for Kelly as much as I do now.
Just got the notification - I had two tickets to go :(
this is just a funny little post for how I've noticed that The Kelly Clarkson show is the new hub for a lot of kpop acts to perform at. TWICE, itzy, aespa, NCT 127 and recently enhypen have all been on and it's interesting. I usually enjoy the performances and I like Kelly so it's all good. Once in a while, I think they should add in an interview like RosΓ© did even if it's virtual.
On October 21, 2011, Kelly Clarkson released her fifth album βStronger,β into the world. The album followed 2009βs βAll I Ever Wanted,β which ditched the serious tone Kelly picked up when taking creative control on her third album βMy Decemberβ to instead lean into trendier pop sounds from previous collaborators such as Max Martin and Dr. Luke, as well as megahit writers such as Ryan Tedder. βAll I Ever Wantedβ was a big commercial success, giving her her second #1 album and single with βMy Life Would Suck Without You.β Despite the commercial rebound, βAll I Ever Wantedβ was also marked by squabbles with collaborators, as Clarkson has since spoken about not enjoying the sessions with Martin & Dr. Luke and publicity criticized Ryan Tedder for similarities between his co-writes βAlready Goneβ and βHaloβ by BeyoncΓ©, so for her follow up Clarkson brought in a new cast of collaborators including Greg Kurstin, Ester Dean, Darkchild, and Toby Gad alongside others such as Bonnie McKee & Ali Tamposi.
The album found Clarkson continuing to lean heavily on these outside songwriters, with Clarkson being credited as a writer on only 7 of the 18 songs on the record, but the new collaborators work with Clarkson to craft an album which continued to move her career toward an adult contemporary strain of pop-rock and synth-pop, with songs heavy on inspiration and much of the album built on kiss-off anthems like the ones Clarkson made her name on. On one hand, it offered some slight evolution without moving too far from her established strengths, and Kellyβs voice can carry just about any song sheβs given, though on the other the album faced criticism for uneven quality, as standouts such as the album's most popular singles shared space on the album with deep cuts like βEinstein,β an admittedly clunky breakup track built around the refrain βdumb plus dumb equals you.β Despite some criticism for uneven quality, the album was a success upon release, debuting #2 on the Billboard 200 with 163,000 sales and even garnering generally respectable reviews, as evidenced by a 62 on Metacritic from the time of release.
On September 5, 2011, Clarkson released the lead single for βStronger,β titled βMr. Know-It-All.β A midtempo breakup track written by Ester Dean, the song was a success, giving her a top 5 single un the UK as well as debuting at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching as high as #10 upon the albumβs release on Oc
