Or was he just being realistic and lowering his expectations? In any case, there is no need to abandon this hope for a scientific theory of drives.

Living things are so impressive that they’ve earned their own branch of the natural sciences, called biology. From the perspective of a physicist, though, life isn’t different from non-life in any fundamental sense. Rocks and trees, cities and jungles, are all just collections of matter that move and change shape over time while exchanging energy with their surroundings. Does that mean physics has nothing to tell us about what life is and when it will appear? Or should we look forward to the day that an equation will finally leap off the page like a mathematical Frankenstein’s monster, and say, once and for all, that this is what it takes to make something live and breathe?

I was born in Biloxi. I'm helping my brother navigate MDES. He received approval notice on Friday and told me weekly certification was Sunday (not Saturday). We missed the date and claim was dismissed.
File an appeal with MDES is cruel-and-unusual punishment. I reached a woman on Monday and she wanted to restart the total claims process. We didn't get through 3-days and the claims was done.
I reached out to State Senator Jeremy England. He has been great to work with and I encourage anyone in Jackson County to contact him.
I want to know what happens for people who are approved for PUA assistance. You get a letter, then the debit card, and then the deposits. How does this work? Thanks.
EDIT: My Brother finally received PUA (retroactive) on the week of June 13 (23 days after the above message). We're waiting on the $600 stimulus payments.
I had to send a lot of personnel information through unsecured channels to get to the right professionals. That should not have happened.
I know the Administration wanted to make the process as seamless as possible but Congress (specifically, House of Representatives) really screwed this up. We (the Unemployed) should not have to have gone through the STATE Unemployment Office to receive FEDERAL FUNDS.
